Four Corners of Britain                12-adult
From the wild country of England’s border with Scotland to the idyllic old-world charm
of the Suffolk coast; from the semi–tropical gardens of Devon and Cornwall to the
medieval castles of Wales….Explore new areas of Britain that are seldom visited by
tourists. Photos galore and an informed and light-hearted commentary will make for a fun
and educational evening.
Instructor: Andy Tatham
Andy was born, raised and schooled in the Midlands of England, and moved to the
United States in 1990. He has hiked, backpacked and climbed extensively throughout
Britain and Europe, and has traveled independently through Europe, North and South
America. His company, Black Swan Explorations, specializes in leading small group,
escorted B&B tours of the British countryside, and provides trip-planning services for
independent travelers to Britain.

Paper Quilling
Come and learn the ancient art of Paper Quilling! You will learn the basic shapes
and techniques, and make a delicate snowflake to take home with you. The
snowflake makes a beautiful Christmas tree ornament or a great gift! All materials

Unicycles for Beginners                                   Ages 6 and up
This beginner course will teach anyone the basics of riding a unicycle. Unicycling is
an awesome individual or family sport. It’s fun, challenging, and unique! Come and
join in the fun! Unicycles will be provided for each participant.

Yoga with Katie from BAMC           16 and older
Start your day with a relaxing dose of yoga and discover that this exercise is
beneficial for your mind, body, and soul. This class is perfect for beginners and for
those who already practice yoga. Join Katie for a sunrise yoga session, a perfect
start to your day.

Center Yoga
Whether you’ve never tried yoga, or have been practicing for years, you will find this
class beneficial. Center Yoga combines gentle and energetic poses for greater
physical fitness, while offering stress release and a “pick-me-up” for the spirit.

Open Computer Lab
The Computer Lab at St Croix Central High School Library will be open to students
and community adults, Wednesdays, 4:00-7:00 PM .The Lab will be closed on any
days school is not in session. Parents must accompany younger children This is a
supervised lab with assistance on computer software and the Internet.

Get Fit Bootcamp                             Teens and Adults
If you are a beginner, an avid fitness enthusiast or just tired of the same routine come try
this whole new approach to exercise...fun! Get Fit Bootcamp is a unique Bootcamp style
class that combines cardio, strength training and core work all in an exciting 60 minute
workout. This 10 session fitness program offers fitness instruction, nutritional counseling
and motivational training - jam packed with fun and energizing activities designed to help
you reach your fitness goals.
Whether you want to shape up for summer, bust out of a fitness rut or just get fit before
that special occasion, this is the program for you!
Please bring an exercise mat (if you have one), water & a great attitude!

Houseplants           all ages
Learn how to keep your houseplants looking great. This class will give insight into soil,
light and care of your houseplants. You may also bring one plant and a container an inch
or two larger than the one it is in and we will help you repot it (soil provided). If it is
below freezing (32degrees) please put the plant in a bag.

Girls and boys come and dance with Dawn Fern. You will learn the love of dance and
improve coordination while building self-esteem. Beginning ballet and tap steps will be
the focus along with fun dance routines.
Clothing: Prefer black ballet and tap shoes, however all colors are acceptable if you can’t
find black. Leotards/tights for girls with your choice of color. Loose clothing for boys
with your choice of color.

Strength Training—Pump it Up!!!         16 and up
This is a muscle building and burning workout designed for anyone who wants to
learn how to attain muscle strength and tonality. The workouts are individualized to
help each person reach their personal goal of either bulk muscle, or lean and toned
muscle. This class is for men and women.

Figure Drawing 101                      18 years and up
This class will explore the basics of drawing the human figure. There will be a live
model posing for the class (not nude). There will be several short poses, where we
will go over the basics of drawing the figure, and a final long pose for you to do a
finished drawing. Materials are provided, but feel free to bring your own. Feel free
to bring a snack to pass too!

Beginning Juggling                         all ages
Learn the basics of juggling, first 2 balls with one hand then 3 balls with 2 hands.
Juggling is a take-anywhere exercise that burns calories, develops coordination and
balance and can relieve stress. All participants will be given a set of juggling balls to
keep. Adults and students are welcome.

Intro to a Native Prairie
If you are interested in native prairies or have been thinking about planting one or
want to be able to identify a remnant prairie but do not know where to start: this is
a good one evening class to take. Burt, a professional photographer for over 12
years, will present a slide show that describes prairie habitat (past and present)
along with featuring local prairies that have been restored or replanted. In addition,
Barb and Burt will discuss the challenges of restoration and provide guidelines on
how to establish a prairie planting. Barb and Burt are members of The Prairie
Enthusiasts and can help you connect to the resources you need to explore your
interest in native prairies.

Card/Scrap/Paper Class
Join us on the second Thursday of the month to work on card, scrap or paper
making classes. The first class will make three different gift tags that could brighten
your holiday gift giving.
