Tax Reductions for Employers

Employers can save up to $2400 in federal income tax for each qualified applicant they
hire. When several applicants are hired, the savings can be substantial. How much a
particular company will save per applicant depends on the company’s tax bracket

Consider this example:
$8,000 employer’s total federal income tax for one year
- 2,400 for hiring one DARS applicant
$5,600 This is a 30% reduction in taxes

$5,600 still owed
- 2,400 for hiring second DARS applicant
$3,200 Taxes are now reduced 60%

$3,200 still owed
- 2,400 for hiring third DARS applicant
  $ 800 This is a 99% reduction in taxes

Your DARS counselor will help you make the most of this opportunity and will
take care of most of the paperwork.
