This is an agreement that can be used to rent a parking space from a city or
municipality. The agreement includes the monthly fee to be charged, the duration of the
agreement, and the procedure for termination. Additionally, it requires the permit holder
to display the permit at all times while parked. If the permit holder fails to do so, the
agreement can be subject to cancelation. This agreement should be used by
individuals or entities that want to obtain a parking permit from a city.
MUNICIPAL PARKING SPACE RENTAL PERMIT
THE CITY OF ____________________ (the “City”) has designated certain parking
spaces throughout the City and has imposed certain rules and regulations respecting same.
THE UNDERSIGNED (the “Permit Holder”) HEREBY requests from the City a
municipal parking space rental permit pursuant to the terms and conditions contained herein.
THE PERMIT HOLDER HEREBY AGREES AS FOLLOWS:
1. The Permit Holder shall pay to the City the monthly fee of _________ ($______) Dollars
(the “Fees”) for the municipal parking space rental permit. The Permit Holder
acknowledges that the City shall have the right to increase the monthly fee payable for
the municipal parking space rental permit on or before the _____ day of ___________ in
each and every year.
2. The Permit Holder shall pay the total Fees due and payable for a ________ (___) month
period to the City upon execution of this agreement. The parking space shall be rented
by the Permit Holder for the period commencing the ____ day of ________, 2_____ and
shall have the full right to use the parking space until the _____ day of __________,
2____. Upon the expiry of the term set out herein, the Permit Holder shall pay additional
Fees to the City for the renewal of the municipal parking space rental permit.
3. The Permit Holder acknowledges and agrees that the City shall not refund any fees paid
by the Permit Holder to the City under no circumstances even in the event the Permit
Holder ceases to use the parking space rented.
4. Upon payment of the Fees to the City, the City shall issue to the Permit Holder a permit
which shall be placed in the Permit Holder’s vehicle and shall remain easily visible at all
5. Failure to have a permit so displayed will constitute unauthorized use of a parking space,
and the vehicle owner may be subject to cancellation of this agreement.
6. The Permit Holder acknowledge and agrees that any damage or theft to the Permit’s
Holder’s vehicle shall be the responsibility of the Permit Holder and the Permit Holder
shall not be entitled to hold the City liable or responsible for same. The Permit Holder
acknowledges that it is his/her responsibility for the commencement of any and all
appropriate or required legal action to remedy any unauthorized use of the parking space
and the Permit Holder agrees to indemnify and hold the City harmless from and against
any and all damages or attorney’s fees that the City may incur that may result from
remedying any unauthorized use of the parking space.

7. The Permit Holder acknowledges that any failure on his/her part to abide by the rules and
regulations contained herein will result in the cancellation of this agreement.
8. The Permit Holder acknowledges that the City reserves the right, with _________(___)
days notice, to restrict parking on a temporary basis to perform any parking lot and/or
City facility maintenance.
9. The Permit Holder acknowledges that the City shall not be held liable or responsible for
any and all accidents, damages to persons, property or vehicles incurred by any Permit
Holder or their vehicles while parking on City property.
