  Refer main advertisement published in Employment News dated 1st to 7th August
2009 for filling of one post of Assistant Engineer (Civil), Four post of Lower Divisional
    Clerk and One post of Peon on deputation basis in this office. The last date of
receipt of application for the above posts is extended up to one month from the date
                               of Publication of this notice.

                               VACANCY CIRCULAR
       The following posts are required to be filled up on deputation basis in Sardar Sarovar
Construction Advisory Committee, Vadodara, a subordinate office of the Ministry of Water
Resources, Government of India from amongst suitable officers working in Central
Government or States Governments and fulfilling the eligibility criteria mentioned against
each posts.

Educational and other qualifications:
Post No.1: Assistant Engineer: One Post (Vacant)
The appointment will only be on deputation from suitable officials already employed under
the Central or State Governments or Union Territories Governments:
(a)    (i)     Holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or

       (ii)    With three years service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a
               regular basis in the Pre-revised scale of pay Rs.5500-175-9000 or equivalent in
               the parent cadre or department; or
       (iii)     With six years service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a
               regular basis in the Pre-revised scale of pay Rs.5000-8000 or equivalent in the
               parent cadre or department; or
       (iv)    With eight years service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a
               regular basis in the Pre-revised scale of pay Rs.4500-125-7000 or equivalent
               in the parent cadre or department; and
(b)    Possessing the following Educational Qualifications:
       (i)    Degree in Civil or Irrigation Engineering or Irrigation and Water
              Management/Water Technology and Management or Hydrology from a
              recognized University or equivalent with two years experience in planning and
              construction of Major Irrigation and Multi-purpose Project; or
       (ii)   Diploma in Civil or Irrigation Engineering or Water Resources Engineering or
              B.Sc. in Water Technology and Management with 5 years experience in
              planning and construction of Major Irrigation Multipurpose projects.


(c)    Period of deputation: Period of deputation including the period of deputation in
       another ex-cadre post immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some
       other Organization or Department of the Central Government shall ordinarily not
       exceed three years. The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation shall be not
       exceeding 56 years as on the closing date of the receipt of the applications.
(d)    For Ex-Servicemen: Deputation or re-employment of armed forces personnel of the
       rank of Junior Commissioned Officers due to retire or who are to be transferred to
       reserve within a period of one year and having the requisite experience and
       qualifications prescribed shall also be considered. Such persons would be given
       deputation terms upto the dates on which they are due for release from the armed
       forces; thereafter they may be continued on re-employment.
Post No.2: Lower Divisional Clerk (LDC): Four Posts (Likely to be vacant on 22.07.2009,
             30.08.2009, 30.09.2009 and 16.10.2009)
The appointment will only on deputation from amongst suitable officials:
       (a) holding equivalent/analogous posts on regular basis with knowledge of
           English/Hindi typing under the Gujarat State (Irrigation Department), failing which
           from other State/Central Government and organisations wholly owned by them.

       (b) Period of deputation: Period of deputation including period of deputation in
           another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same as
           well as other Organisations/Departments shall ordinarily not exceed five years.

Post No.3: Peon: One Post (Vacant)
The appointment will only on deputation from suitable officials:
       (a) holding Group-D post or analogous post under the Gujarat State (Irrigation
           Department), failing which, from other States/Central Government and
           organisations wholly owned by them.

       (b) Period of deputation: Period of deputation including period of deputation in
           another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same as
           well as other Organisations/Departments shall ordinarily not exceed five years.
       The deputation shall be governed by the terms and conditions contained in the Ministry
of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pension, Department of Personnel & Training, New
Delhi’s O.M. No.2/29/91/Estt.(Pay-II) dated 05.01.1994 as amended from time to time.
        The official selected for appointment on deputation basis will have the option to draw
his grade pay in the present cadre plus deputation (duty) allowance or to get the pay fixed in
the scale of the deputation post in terms of the Department of Personnel and Training’s O.M.
No.2/29/91-Estt. (Pay.II) dated 05.01.1994 as amended from time to time. Period of
deputation including period of deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding
this appointment in the same as well as other Organisations/Departments shall ordinarily not
exceed five years. The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation shall be not
exceeding 56 years as on the closing date of the receipt of the applications. The applicant may
be required to serve at Vadodara. The applicants are eligible for accommodation in Narmada
Project Colony at Vadodara on paying nominal licence fee.
        Applications with full particulars of the interested and eligible officials, who can be
relieved at short notice, may be sent in the following proforma duly signed by them (with an

from the date of publication of the advertisement in the Employment News/ Rozgar Samachar.

       The Cadre Controlling/Administrative Authority of the official concerned, while
forwarding the application are also requested to send (i) up-to-date photocopies of Annual
Confidential Reports (ACRs) dossiers for the last 5 years duly attested (by an officer of status
not below the rank of Under Secretary); (ii) Integrity Clearance Certificate (IC); (iii) Vigilance
Clearance Certificate (VC); and (iv) List of Major/Minor penalties (MMP), if any, imposed on
the candidate during the last five years OR No Penalty Certificate, as the case may be; and
should certify that the particulars furnished by the official are correct. The original CR
dossiers of the empanelled official shall be sent by the parent department as and when asked
for.
