Dated: 7.12.2007

The department of Textile Technology invites quotations for purchase of the
following items with specifications and terms and conditions mentioned below; The
vendors may quote one or both items:

1. Differential Scanning Calorimeter (DSC) with modulation (stand alone unit)

Terms and Conditions

   1. (a) Quotation should be directly from Original manufacturer or authorized
      sales agent. (b) Relevant agency certificates, validity of agency certificate
      from Foreign Principals (in case of foreign manufacturer), (c) proprietary
   certificate (if any, for any component or instrument quoted) must be submitted
   along with quotation.

2. (a) Prices should be CIF Delhi inclusive of all taxes, delivery charges,
   installation and training charges; IIT Delhi is exempt from central excise and
   custom duty, Delivery Period should be specifically mentioned and should be
   as small as possible (b) guarantee or warranty conditions must be clearly
   specified, (c) validity of quotation must be till end of March 2008, (d) Mode of
   payment through LC only (any kind of advance payment clause should be
   avoided), (e) Details about installation, commissioning of & training on the
   equipment be mentioned, (f) Supplier must submit TIN number/PAN number
   as applicable.

3. Only those manufacturers who have manufactured and supplied the above
   mentioned equipment to more than one nationally reputed Indian research
   institutions or laboratories need to submit quotations with complete address,
   Tel. No. and name of the user. Quotations without proper and complete
   references related to functioning of the quoted equipments will not be
   entertained.

4. Technical bids (with certificate of compliance and deviations from the
   specifications) and financial bids should be submitted separately in sealed
   covers by 28 December 2007 by 12 Noon Indian standard time to the
   following address:
