The NetMonkeys Evolution
All Internet access is delivered using the Manchester MetroNet Secure IP local loop with a
mixture of microwave and fibre connections. Because the network is privately owned – the

buck stops with us we don’t blame problems on 3 Party providers. We only operate in
Manchester and have our own technical staff on call 24 hours a day. Our reputation has been
built delivering high availability applications such as real-time CCTV for Manchester City
Council and Greater Manchester Police; as a result of this, we understand the importance of
mission critical services such as primary access.



NetMonkeys Technology
All services are delivered using dedicated technology; you don’t share your network with
anyone else. The reliability and performance of the connection are not governed by distances
from exchanges or quality of the copper/fibre. MetroNet service is operated completely
independently of the legacy BT network and we have not unbundled the local exchanges; we
have built our own!

Installation
The installation process is easy. An engineer will attend site and check where the radio
antenna needs to be located. We will then agree where the service needs to be terminated
and book a date to return and complete the install. This initial process takes up to half a day.
Should risk assessments and method statements be required, they will be provided for you
before any work takes place.

NetMonkeys Metronet will supply a managed switch to terminate your service. This also
allows flexibility if multiple circuits are required, perhaps two separate internet feeds or a VPN
to another office.

The whole installation process can normally be completed within 5 working days from the time
of order.

*Bandwidth in excess of 200 Mbps is available. However, we normally prefer to discuss these
requirements directly before providing costs.

*All services are installed using a bearer that is twice the capacity of the bandwidth ordered.
For example, if a customer orders a 5 Mbit connection, NetMonkeys Metronet will install a pipe
with a minimum of 10 Mbit capacity. This makes an upgrade a simple and speedy process.

*All costs are correct at the time of publishing and are exclusive of VAT.

*Payment terms are monthly in advance.
