MEDIA RELEASE NOVEMBER 2006
A MUMS’ GUIDE TO GETTING ORGANISED
THE Schoolwise Family Organiser finally gives modern mums a way to clear the clutter that really is
as good as it looks. The stylish folder, with its contemporary striped design, has everything busy
families need to stay organised.
A sturdy page at the front lists important phone numbers - work and mobile numbers for parents plus
those for grandparents, trusted friends and for emergencies - so they’ll always be at hand. Inside there
are five practical sections, each separated by clear plastic dividers that cleverly double as storage
pockets for loose paperwork. No more lost school permission slips or book orders!
The Calendar section devotes two full pages to each month so that it’s easy to see at a glance what lies
ahead. There’s plenty of room in each day’s box to write down activities and appointments as well as
space for useful lists and reminders. School term dates for all states and territories are here, along with
forms for jotting down holiday ideas. Cards that slot between each month to keep track of birthdays and
anniversaries are another clever touch and can be reused year after year with calendar refills.
School has space for recording details of primary and secondary schools as well as childcare centres,
pre-school and after-school programs. There are forms for listing daily school timetables so that you will
always know where your child is, as well as teacher contact details plus school payments and receipts.
There’s even easy-to-fill-in form letters for those times when your child is absent from class.
Activities combines separate forms to keep track of party invites, private lessons, playgroups, sports
and other activities along with a weekly family schedule to pull it all together.
The Phone List section includes a standard A to Z directory but also has an innovative and logical
series of lists to make numbers for family, medical specialists, favourite eateries and other designated
groups easier to find.
The Personal folder covers everything else. There’s space for noting the neighbours’ names – and the
names of their kids - plus a handy information sheet for babysitters that lists everything from favourite
bedtime stories and sleep toys to food phobias and allergies. Also look here to store business cards, to
record details of reliable tradespeople, decorating schemes, insurance policies, warranty information
and more, or to find handy conversion guides and packing lists for holidays, picnics and beach trips.
The Schoolwise Family Organiser (RRP $39.95 plus $8.95 postage and handling) can be ordered
online from www.schoolwise.com.au or by calling 1300 786 484. New forms are always being designed
and will be available for free download from the website. Calendar refills and extra forms are also
available to buy.
