OKLAHOMA STATE PYCHIATRIC HOSPITAL – NIGHT A mid-size white vehicle drives down a cobble stone driveway past a sign. CLOSE ON THE SIGN – “STATE OF OKLAHOMA, DEDICATED TO OUR FIRST PATIENT. THE L. K. VANCE PYCHIATRIC HOSPITAL” A heavy set female, DEE-DEE, the hospital's head attendant drives to a side door of the remote hospital that is surrounded by a tall chain link fence. She stops her vehicle near the obscure entry door and gets out. The attendant walks a few feet and opens the door to move inside. INT. OKLAHOMA STATE PYCHIATRIC HOSPITAL JOHNNY DICKS, a thirty something fair-haired and athletic built man with wild eyes and cartoon tattoos on his forearms is sneaking down a stark gray hospital hallway. He looks around the hall corner toward the side exit door. Johnny smiles big and gets a wild look on his face. JOHNNY There he is to save the day. Mighty Mouse is covering the door and in my way. A young and sharp looking uniformed SECURITY GUARD stands near the side door. Johnny slips slowly down the hall. He jumps the guard. They slam against the wall and wrestle on a desk near the door. The hospital attendant enters the room in the middle of the fight between Johnny and the guard. Johnny takes the guard’s gun and shoots him. The Guard falls to the floor. Johnny turns the gun on the woman and pulls the trigger. The weapon snaps and does not fire. JOHNNY (CONT’D) Could you wait while I reload? The attendant smiles at her good luck and quickly slams her heavy little body into Johnny. They collide and he goes down to the floor with a thud. (CONTINUED) 2. CONTINUED: She gets down and flips Johnny over. The attendant twists his arm behind his back. DEE-DEE Settle down bitch. Johnny squeals from the pain. He manages to flip over and hit the woman with his fist. JOHNNY Who's the bitch now? She has fallen to the side and is a little dazed. Dee-Dee manages to hit Johnny hard with her fist when she recovers as he comes for her. Johnny shakes his head and regains his composure smiling. The attendant looks at the wall. She sees a panic alarm button to push for help. Johnny looks at the wall and back at her. She rushes for the button. He moves to cut her off. They collide at the panic button. The tough attendant stretches her arm to push the button. Johnny tries to pull it away. She looks at him with a great deal of stress on her face and pokes him in the eye with her chunking finger. Johnny lets go of her arm to guard his eye and she slams her hand into the button. A yellow light begins to flash and a series of bell alarms go off with a deafening sound. They both recover from their struggle and circle each other looking for an opening. DEE-DEE Who the momma now, you crazy bastard? Johnny speaks out over the alarms. JOHNNY You’re pretty tough for a woman. The attendant is amused and speaks up. DEE-DEE You’re a pretty big pussy for a guy. She charges Johnny and slams him against the wall. He turns from the powerful attack as she hits him on the back of the head. (CONTINUED) 3. CONTINUED: (2) JOHNNY Why don't you teach me the nuts and bolts, mister. She slams Johnny across the head and knocks him back. DEE-DEE I'll teach you. You cliche spouting bitch. JOHNNY I do it all the time you got something against a good cliche', witch? She slams Johnny again making him fall back. DEE-DEE Yeah, I hate'em. Johnny grabs a computer screen from the desk and slams it against her head. The attendant falls back on the floor knocked out. Johnny looks down at her. He can hear security people running down the hall. JOHNNY Dam woman you got a lot of unleashed hostility. You should be in this nut house and me on the street. Johnny picks up her keys from the floor smiling. He then picks up the guard’s pistol and exits the building. Two but the the security people enter the guardroom ready for a fight, see nothing. They direct their attention to turning off alarm and taking care of the attendant. She points toward side door. One security guard moves to the door and outside with his weapon drawn and goes outside. EXT. OKLAHOMA STATE PYCHIATRIC HOSPITAL The guard sees Johnny driving away in the attendants car. He aims and shoots at Johnny. The stops abruptly. The guard looks at it for a moment. The car sudden;y begins to backup. The guard is surprised and begins to shoot. The car is abruptly near him. (CONTINUED) 4. CONTINUED: Johnny's arm sticks out the window and shoots the guard. He drops to the ground. Johnny (O.S.) Bullets are red, bullets are blue. I had one just for you. Johnny speeds away. The second guard comes from the building just in time to see Johnny get away. He Pulls his handheld radio from his belt and starts taking inaudibly. The police dispatch sounds off over the scene. POLICE RADIO DISPATCH (V.O.) All units. Be on the alert, escaped inmate from the L. K. Vance Hospital for the criminally insane. Name, Johnny Dicks, Approximately five feet seven, one hundred sixty pounds. He is armed and extremely dangerous. Last seen driving a stolen car. A two thousand nine Chevrolet Malibu sedan, white in color. Last seen on highway ten north leaving the hospital. Time of sighting, seven a. m., this date... CUT TO: EXT. IRAQI DESERT, FIVE MILES SOUTH OF BAGHDAD - DAY Fifteen Marines move from behind two military Humvee’s that are parked on the side of a desert dirt road. They cautiously begin to cross the rutted road in front of the vehicles. The cautious Marines abruptly begin to take cover and fire their ready weapons. They quickly regroup and advance their own attack on an enemy that is fighting them from behind a ridge just a hundred yards away. STOCK VIDEO NEWS FOOTAGE, IRAQ – A British news correspondent talks to the camera in an excited voice from the Iraqi combat zone south of Baghdad. Bombs explode in the distant background. BACK TO SCENE The Marine infantry unit is now in a fierce battle hand to hand with the Taliban insurgents they attacked. 5. SUB-TITLE – IRAQ DESERT, WAR ZONE, SOUTH OF BAGHDAD, 2008 DISSOLVE TO: EXT. CECIL BLACKFOX HOME, HULBERT OKLAHOMA - MORNING CECIL BLACKFOX, a seventy year old gray haired Choctaw Indian man dressed in jeans, boots and a cowboy shirt, walks from his wood sided white house looking up at the rolling skies. MARIE KEEN, a beautiful tan skinned thirtyish Choctaw Indian woman with long Raven black hair walks beside Cecil. She is dressed in a colorful prairie skirt and a tight stretch top. The old gentleman puts his arm around her and they watch the skies together as the wind picks up. The clouds are dark and moving northeast. The wind is blowing and it looks like rain. Cecil and Marie look back toward Cecil’s house. They can hear the voice of a news commentator on his television coming from inside the kitchen. NEWS COMMENTATOR (O.S.) Battles rage across Iraq, but the Marine Corps says today is a day of reckoning. The newly formed “Choctaw Wind” unit was formed to ferret out enemy Insurgents. Today the fighting is just south of Baghdad against a major force of enemy soldiers and Marines predict a massive blow to this illusive adversary. SUB-TITLE – CECIL BLACKFOX HOME, HULBERT OKLAHOMA Cecil looks back at the turbulent sky. CUT TO: EXT. IRAQI DESERT, FIVE MILES SOUTH OF BAGHDAD - DAY The muscular and handsome, olive skinned, U. S. Marine officer LIEUTENANT COLONEL TY JAMES, inaudibly yells out to his soldiers and watches them move across the desert floor taking prisoner and killing enemy. They have over run the adversary camp. In a moment the Marines are wrapping up the battle. Two soldiers guard twenty prisoners as two others tie the insurgents hands behind their backs. (CONTINUED) 6. CONTINUED: Bombs and rockets explode in the distance. A helicopter flies the perimeter firing its machine guns at a few retreating enemy. DISSOLVE TO: EXT. MARINE AIRBASE, CHERRY POINT, NORTH CAROLINA - MORNING A heavily armed and desert camouflaged U. S. Marine combat helicopter flies in from the remote horizon. SUB-TITLE – MARINE AIRBASE, CHERRY POINT, NORTH CAROLINA USA MARINE MAJOR GENERAL DANIEL MORSE, stands with two staff officers, a lieutenant colonel and a captain. The stocky build graying general stares forward as the helicopter gets closer to the landing zone. INT. TOM’S RURAL GROCERY, HULBERT OKLAHOMA Johnny holds a nine-millimeter automatic on the elderly store clerk standing before him. TOM, the store owner and clerk is a very old and slender man with graying hair. He appears nervous while holding his hands up. Johnny looks at Tom harshly. JOHNNY Put your dam hands down somebody could think this is a robbery. Ain’t it? Johnny is amused. JOHNNY Coarse it is. I’s just Makin it look better in case of cops. Tom appears confused again. TOM They'll shoot your ass around here. Johnny is discussed. JOHNNY Put your damn hands. I want you to look not robbed, so I don't have to shoot your ass. (CONTINUED) TOM 7. CONTINUED: Tom nods. Johnny is tired of the education process. JOHNNY (CONT’D) Will you just give me the freakin money and shut up Tom goes into the cash register drawer and takes out a few one dollar bills and hands them to Johnny. Johnny takes the money in hand and looks at the meager cash and then at Tom. Tom is remorseful. TOM I don’t do much business. Johnny puts the money in his pocket. He reaches over and takes a candy bar. Johnny opens it with his teeth while still holding his gun on Tom. JOHNNY You know Tom this is the only way ta make a sweet deal out of this. Ya broke old fart. Tom is angered by the statement but remains cool just staring at Johnny. TOM I ain't no dumb old fart. JOHNNY I said broke old fart. TOM You said dumb... dumb ass. JOHNNY Why do I always get the hard ones. Johnny turns and begins to walk out. Tom grabs his automatic shotgun from under the store service counter. He fires at Johnny. Tom’s shotgun blast hits the door facing next to Johnny’s head. Johnny ducks then turns toward Tom. He returns fire his ready pistol. (CONTINUED) 8. CONTINUED: (2) JOHNNY (CONT’D) What ya shootin at me for? Them bullets cost more than I got from ya. Tom ducks down behind the counter and quickly raises up enough to fire his shotgun three more times. TOM I'm seekin revenge you thievin bastard. Johnny dodges the shots as merchandise flies and quickly opens the front door. He moves outside as Tom shoots two more times hitting next to him. EXT. TOM’S RURAL GROCERY, HULBERT OKLAHOMA A man pulls up to the gas pumps in his Chevy pick-up near the front entrance to the store. Johnny points his gun at the surprised man and has him slide over. JOHNNY Git on over there girlfriend. I'm drivin. He gets in while holding his weapon on the man. They drive away. Elderly Tom hurriedly moves from the country grocery store loading his shotgun. He fires it two times at Johnny as the truck accelerates down the two-lane road. Tom hurries back to an old pay phone on the outside wall and dials. TOM Yeah, Sheriff I got robbed. Around two thousand. I'll need a report so I can turn it in ta insurance. Thanks sheriff, see ya in a minute. DISSOLVE TO: EXT. MARINE AIRBASE, CHERRY POINT, NORTH CAROLINA The approaching helicopter has landed with its rotors beating hard against the wind. (CONTINUED) 9. CONTINUED: A black logo of a woman's head with her hair blown back is painted on the nose of the helicopter. The words "CHOCTAW WIND" are painted beneath the image. Ty James gets out of the sleek helicopter. He wears a full desert combat uniform carrying a sea bag and his M-16 weapon. He puts his bag on the ground and slings his rifle. Ty checks and adjust the nine-millimeter pistol in his shoulder holster. He pulls his cap from his back pocket and covers his dark hair. He walks to General Morse. The general and Ty salute. They shake hands, obviously glad to see each other. GENERAL Welcome home Ty. Glad you're back. The Lieutenant Colonel and the Captain join in and shake Ty's hand. Ty smiles and turns to the general. TY Thanks for coming, General Morse. The general is happy. He reduces his starched composure and speaks to Ty. GENERAL You boys kicked some serious ass. I'm glad to be here. I'm proud. Ty smiles in acknowledgment and starts walking toward an awaiting green staff car with the deck lid open. The general walks with him and talks. GENERAL (CONT’D) Ty, the reason I came today is you're re-up date. I wanted to the first to sign the man that me and the Marine Corps proud. can get some media mileage out it too. be made We of Ty throws his sea bag in the trunk and pauses. He looks at the general face to face. TY General Morse, I sorry, but I'll be getting out this time. The general looks as if he just lost a good friend. (CONTINUED) 10. CONTINUED: (2) GENERAL Ty, the Marine Corps' your home. Besides, you don't have anyone else. TY No Sir, I have an uncle. More than that, I'm thirty-nine and I've been in the Corps since I was seventeen. It's time for me to move on. GENERAL Hell Ty, I hate this. Ty smiles and pats his friend on the back. TY I’ve got a girl waiting for me back home. Besides, I just finished Operation Choctaw Wind and it finished me. General Morse smiles. GENERAL All right then, I guess the last part of Choctaw Wind is you going home. Good luck Ty, if you need me, call. The general and his two staff members enter their car. Ty gets in the back seat with the general. The staff car drives away. The helicopter takes off and flies toward the hills. DISSOLVE TO: EXT. CHERRY POINT MARINE AIR BASE ENTRANCE Ty is dressed in civilian clothes riding his black HarleyDavidson Fatboy motorcycle through the post front gates past a saluting sentry. He waves and speeds down the busy boulevard. DISSOLVE TO: EXT. OPEN OKLAHOMA INTERSTATE HIGHWAY - DUSK Ty rides at the speed limit down a two-lane highway. SUBTITLE - THREE DAYS LATER (CONTINUED) 11. CONTINUED: He has dark stubble on his face from not shaving and the wear of the road on his new change of dark clothes. CLOSE ON – a large road sign: "WELCOME TO OKLAHOMA". Ty speeds forward into the thick morning fog. He begins to brake and slows to pull off the highway. He ride down the exit ramp and into a truck stop parking lot. EXT. TRUCK STOP He slows down and stops in front a gas pump near the front doors. A man runs from the truck-stop entrance. A police siren can be heard in the distance. Ty looks up as the man jumps on the back of his motorcycle. He holds onto a bag full of money and puts an automatic pistol to Ty's head. ROBBER Ride ass hole. Ty drops his head out of the way of the robber's gun and elbows him in the face. TY Not today, ass hole. The criminal falls to the ground from the back of Ty’s motorcycle. His nose is bleeding. He quickly stands with the automatic in his hand. a police car slides to a stop next to the robber and Ty. The criminal turns his attention to the deputy. DEPUTY CATRON, A short and stocky middle-aged man with a large stomach wearing a starched blue uniform is out of his cruiser. He has his revolver drawn and ready. Freeze. CATRON The desperate robber starts to shoot. The deputy quickly fires three times hitting the man in the chest as he turns toward him. The Robber jerks from the gun shots and falls to the ground. He lies dead in a pool of blood. A crowd of truckers and tourist begin to gather. (CONTINUED) 12. CONTINUED: Ty is caught totally off guard still sitting on his motorcycle. He doesn't move just watching the deputy. He glances at the body. The nervous deputy sheriff yells out to Ty with his gun pointed at him. DEPUTY CATRON Get off the bike. Now! TY You're making a mistake! The deputy doesn't care. DEPUTY CATRON I said, off the bike! Grab some air. Ty gets off of his motorcycle with his hands up. TY Listen man, this is a big mistake! The deputy is still very nervous. DEPUTY CATRON Listen up son! I don't give a good damn. Git your ass on the ground, face down. Now or get a bullet! Ty lies face down on the pavement. He glares at the deputy as his eyes move to looks up from the ground. The chunky deputy struggles a little to get down on the parking lot to one knee and handcuffs him. Catron breathes hard as he stands and roughly jerks Ty off the ground. DEPUTY CATRON (CONT’D) Get up thug this is your lucky day. You're still alive. He slams Ty against the police car and checks his pockets then generally checks him over for hidden weapons. The deputy shoves him toward the back door of the police cruiser. Ty glares at him with a hard look. TY Look man, I don't know what your game is, but… (CONTINUED) 13. CONTINUED: (2) Deputy Catron slaps Ty across the face with his large black flashlight. DEPUTY CATRON Shut your mouth, low-life. My game is shootin bad guys. Like you. The deputy opens the back door of his police car. He shoves Ty inside and slams the door. Catron speaks to a small crowd as he walks around and gets inside. DEPUTY CATRON (CONT’D) All right go on now. It's all over. The crowd begins to disperse. INT. PATROL CAR - MORNING The deputy picks up the mike of his police radio and adjusts himself in the seat trying to get his stomach past the steering wheel. DEPUTY CATRON Unit two to base. DISPATCHER (RADIO V.O.) Twenty-three thirteen here. Go ahead two. Deputy Catron looks back at Ty with an evil grin. DEPUTY CATRON Sally, I got ole dumbo here in custody. His gun totin buddy's dead. Send an ambulance, honeybunch. DISPATCHER (RADIO V.O.) All right Deputy Catron. I don't guess you'll be needin that back up. The deputy smiles. DEPUTY CATRON At's right. Another crowd is forming around the body. He rolls his side window down and yells to the people around the body. DEPUTY CATRON (CONT’D) Hey, leave that thang alone, it's evidence. (MORE) (CONTINUED) 14. CONTINUED: DEPUTY CATRON (CONT’D) Sides ya might catch somethin. Go on now get the hell away from it. Catron returns his attention to the radio keying his microphone. DEPUTY CATRON (CONT’D) Sorry Sally I got a nosey crowd. I'll be there in a minute with this bad boy. Oh, send Calvin from the Texaco ta pick-up hot rods Harley. Tell'em Robert said ta hang on to it. The dispatcher responds. DISPATCHER (RADIO V. O.) Ten four honey. Ty looks mean. TY You're screwin up here, Real bad! DEPUTY CATRON Yeah I know. You're innocent as a newborn whatcha-ma-call-it. TY That's right you stupid donkey! Get that ego out of your ears and you'd know. Catron quickly turns to confront Ty. DEPUTY CATRON Watch your mouth, Tonto! I'll take ya out and kick your ass right here. I'm an officer of the law dip shit. TY Right, like you could, dip shit! Catron turns slightly toward Ty with an evil look. He hits the wire barrier between the two of them with his large flashlight. DEPUTY CATRON Don't tempt me slime boy! I'll take your head off. Ty smiles knowing his words do nothing. (CONTINUED) 15. CONTINUED: (2) The deputy turns back to the front. He starts the car and drive away. DISSOLVE TO: INT. COUNTY COURTHOUSE, JUDGE MEAD’S COURT - DAY An old judge, MARVIN MEAD sits behind a high oak bench looking down at DEAVER DICKS. SUB-TITLE - TEN DAYS LATER Deaver is a muscular young man with wild eyes and light hair secured by hand cuffs and leg-chains. He is in court for his final sentencing, after being convicted of murder. Deaver stands with his lawyer, an older uninteresting gray haired man, and two bailiffs that guard him. Deaver puts on an evil grin as his wild eyes look around the courtroom. The judge is stern. JUDGE Well, Deaver Dicks, you done it now. You have anything to say for yourself? Deaver still grinning puts on a look of disrespect as he glares at the judge. DEAVER I'm a bad man, judge. Like the song says, Bad to the bone. The judge is disgusted. JUDGE Clearly the jury of your peers was right when they found you guilty of first degree murder. As of this day you are ordered remanded to the county sheriff. He will transport you to the state prison. There you will be executed at the earliest possible date by lethal injection until you are deceased. That means dead, case you’re not up to date. So ordered. The judge slams his gavel down and looks across the courtroom as the two bailiffs take Deaver away. Deaver speaks humorously to the judge as he leaves. (CONTINUED) 16. CONTINUED: DEAVER See ya in hell, Jude. JUDGE You’re first, dumb-ass. Case zerothirty-sixteen reprimanded immediately. The old judge shuffles papers. He looks down. Ty is escorted before him by Deputy Catron. Ty stands restrained by handcuffed and leg chains. His LAWYER, an older average man walks in and stands beside him. The judge clears his throat as he picks up his eyeglasses and puts them on. He looks over the black rimmed spectacles sitting on the end of his nose. JUDGE (CONT’D) Mr. Ty James, The court has taken great care to give you speedy justice with you representing yourself and all. I have found you guilty of robbery in the first degree and sentence you to three years at hard labor in the state penitentiary. Ty looks at the judge. TY Justice? You try me in thirty days and then throw an innocent man in prison! That's not justice. That's a bunch of dumb ass hillbillies running the justice system. Deputy Catron hits him in the stomach with his nightstick. Ty gasp. The deputy speaks coldly to Ty. DEPUTY CATRON Show some manners, jailbird! The judge looks down at Ty. JUDGE As of this date, case number zerothree-two-forty-one, district three orders the incarceration to start immediately. And son, we don't have much going on round here. So you get a speedy trial, like you’re suppose to. (CONTINUED) 17. CONTINUED: (2) Ty's country lawyer just looks at the judge and nods. He walks away. LAWYER Good luck Mr..., Good luck. The deputy drags Ty from the courtroom. TY You'll get some of your own justice. Soon. The judge watches for a moment then shakes his head and goes on to the next case. INT. COUNTY COURT HOUSE HALL Ty and Deputy Catron walk down the wide hardwood hall. CATRON Don't worry. You'll find a girlfriend and settle down soon as you get to jail. WILLIAM TWO BEARS JAMES, a stocky built thirty something Choctaw Indian man steps in front of them. He looks at Ty. TWO BEARS Ty, I been lookin for you. Ty is quiet for a moment. TY I been screwed over by these fools. Check it out and get some help. Call Uncle Cecil. Deputy Catron moves steadily forward and roughly pulls Ty with him TWO BEARS He sent me. CATRON Come on, Ya who, there ain’t no help from this Indian. You're already done in convict. TWO BEARS Hey, deputy dummy this Indian can kick your ass any day. Catron grins. (CONTINUED) 18. CONTINUED: CATRON You and who else, Chief whop ass? Two Bears nods to Ty as he watches them go out the ornate front door. TWO BEARS Don't worry Ty, I'm on it. He notices everyone looking at him. He look sa them and speaks in a quieter tone. TWO BEARS (CONT’D) What, haven’t you seen an Indian before? The people in the hall walk on and Two Bears moves toward the front exit. EXT. COUNTY COURT HOUSE Ty and Deputy Catron emerge from the courthouse and walk to the patrol car. CATRON Who was that fool? Ty doesn’t like Catron and shows it. TY That was my cousin William Two Bears. Unlike you he is smart. Catron is amused. Another deputy, DEPUTY NO. TWO, a fifties heavy man walks from the courthouse and joins them. DEPUTY NO. TWO Hey Robert, The judge ask me to ride with ya to the pen. In case bad ass here gets crazy. Deputy Catron smile. DEPUTY CATRON Good. I'd like the company, but this ya-who ain't no trouble. He raises his nightstick for display smiling. DEPUTY CATRON (CONT’D) I've got my honey stick. One shot and he's nice as pie. (CONTINUED) 19. CONTINUED: Deputy Catron opens the back door of his car and puts Ty inside. Deputy No. Two, gets in the front waiting on Catron. Deputy Catron finally moves around to the driver’s side of his vehicle and gets in. He starts the car and they drive away, laughing and talking. INT. PATROL CAR Catron, Deputy No. Two and Ty ride down the deserted street solemn faced. Ty looks to the side. TY P.O.V. INSIDE TO OUTSIDE - He sees his shiny black motorcycle stored inside a chain link fence behind a Texaco service station. EXT. CITY STREET the front wheels come off of the patrol car and they roll down the street. The car skids on the avenue with sparks flying from underneath. INT. PATROL CAR Ty is angry. He continues to watch his motorcycle as the patrol car skids to a stop. He goes berserk. Ty raises his body up and slams his shoulder into the screen divider between he and the deputies. The divider corner comes loose and hits Deputy No. Two, in the face as he turns to see what happened. What the… DEPUTY NO. TWO Ty kicks the screen as hard as he can between he and Deputy Catron. The kicks smash Catron in the back of the head as the wire screen collapses. Ty turns his full attention to Deputy No. Two, that is pushing the screen back toward Ty. Finally Ty slams the wire divider into the deputy's forehead by driving his shoulder hard against the partition and the deputy is knocked out. Ty continues kicking the screen against both deputies, his last slam knocks Catron out. Ty turns and looks at the back door of the police cruiser as it opens. Two Dogs is looking in at Ty and the knocked out deputy's. (CONTINUED) 20. CONTINUED: He holds up a handful of lug nuts and turns his hand to drop them on the floor. TWO BEARS Don’t guess they’ll be needing these. Ty smiles glad to see Two Bears. TY Thanks Cous. Two Bears goes to the front car door and takes the handcuff key from the deputy’s gun belt. He goes back to the rear door and opens it again then awkwardly unlocks the handcuffs from Ty. EXT. CITY STREET Two Dogs and Ty run up the vacant city street toward his Harley at the Texaco station. They are grinning like two small boys at each other. TWO BEARS Where we going? TY To get my bike. INT. TEXACO SERVICE STATION The service station attendant works under the hood of an old car. Ty and Two Bears move inside. Ty pushes the hood of the car down hard on the man’s head. The attendant yells for help. SERVICE STATION ATTENDANT Oh, help, somebody get me out. Ty casually speaks. Shut up buddies Give me I won’t TY asshole. You and your caused me a lotta trouble. the keys to the Harley and break your bones. The attendant voice echoes from under the hood. (CONTINUED) 21. CONTINUED: SERVICE STATION ATTENDANT All right man. Their hangin on the key board next to the door over yonder. Ty looks and sees them. Two Dogs goes to the keyboard and grabs the keys then returns to give them to Ty. He opens the hood and as the attendant stands up. He hits him and knocks the man down. Two Dogs stand back in the background. Ty glares at the man. Stay. The Attendant nods. Ty rushes outside with Two Dogs. EXT. TEXACO SERVICE STATION Ty jumps the chain link fence. Gets on his Harley, starts it and spins around. Two Dogs looks at Ty from behind the fence. TWO BEARS Go, I’ll see you at home. They hear police sirens in the distance. Ty nods to his cousin and looks over at the chain link double gates with a chain securing them together. He rev's up his motorcycle and speeds toward the double gates. Two Dogs walks away P.O.V. TY OUTSIDE TO INSIDE - The attendant is frantically dialing the phone to call the police. BACK TO SCENE Ty blast through the small gates leaving them lying on the ground. Ty speeds down a side street. Two Bears gets in his truck that sits across the street and drives away. TY 22. EXT. CITY STREET Ty speeds his Harley toward an intersection. When he gets within a few feet of the intersection a police car slides in front of him. He quickly turns his bike and it slides. Ty recovers and speeds forward across a large well kept lawn and out on a street on the other wide. The police car pursues him throwing grass with his tires from the lawn as he accelerates. An elderly woman stands beside a blooming flower garden next to her home. She yells out and waves her arms for the policeman to stop. The lady then throws a rake that she is holding at the speeding car when it passes. Ty looks down at his speedometer. CLOSE ON - The speedometer needle moves toward the one hundred miles an hour as he blast down the vacant and narrow city street. The high-speed police car falls in behind Ty. Ty notices the patrol cruiser close on him and cuts across another well cared for residential yard between some trees and through a small wooded city park. The police car can’t move through the trees and goes around a short block to continue the pursuit. Ty slides to a stop in the park. He looks ahead to see a wide flood trench on the backside of the park. Ty glances back at the speeding police cruiser bearing down on him. He speeds forward with the police car directly behind him. In a few seconds Ty's motorcycle gains momentum and glides from the bank of the trench and becomes airborne. The bike hits the other side upright and speeds away. The policeman sees the ditch. He locks the cruiser’s brakes, but can’t stop in time and slides into the deep trench. The officer gets out of his wrecked vehicle looking toward Ty’s escape route. A police dispatcher's radio V. O. talks about Ty's escape. (CONTINUED) 23. CONTINUED: POLICE DISPATCHER RADIO (V.O.) Be on the lookout for a late model black Harley-Davidson motorcycle. The description of the escaped suspect is; male, six feet tall, dark hair and medium build. Considered armed and dangerous. Use extreme caution. Ty speeds hell for leather into the distance. DISSOLVE TO: EXT. RURAL DIRT ROAD - NIGHT Ty rides his motorcycle up a narrow rural dirt road. He stops and turns off his lights. Ty reaches back in his small black leather saddlebag. He pulls out a state map and begins to look close at it, lit by a full moon. He has a determined look on his face. Ty puts his map away and speeds forward on the dirt road and onto a nearby two-lane highway. EXT. BLUE GOOSE CAFE - DUSK Ty rolls through the rural restaurant’s small parking lot on his motorcycle. He looks though the front glass of the café and sees a strange tattooed man sitting inside. TY P.O.V. OUTSIDE TO INSIDE –Johnny Dicks sits in a booth with his artwork arms visible looking outside. He smirks as he watches Ty motor past. BACK TO SCENE Ty parks his bike in a space on the side of the tiny all night café. He looks up and is amused at the small blue neon sign in the large cafe window. CLOSE ON SIGN - “BLUE GOOSE CAFÉ” Ty turns the motorcycle key off. He relaxes for a second then looks around the area. TY Hooterville. Ty gets off of the bike and takes his key. He walks inside. 24. INT. BLUE GOOSE CAFE Ty walks past Johnny. Johnny watches with an evil stare as Ty passes. Ty sits at the counter and ERNESTINE, the fifties dark haired waitress steps in front of him. ERNESTINE Hi honey. Want some coffee? Ty smiles and nods. TY Yes, black. The waitress turns to a ready cup and pours the coffee then puts it in front Ty. ERNESTINE You from around here? TY Long time ago. I'm moving back. The friendly waitress smiles at Ty as Johnny moves and sits beside him. ERNESTINE Well, welcome home. Ty nods and smiles in acknowledgement. The waitress give Johnny a hateful glance and speaks as she walks away. ERNESTINE (CONT’D) Better watch the company you keep. (raises her eye brows) Know what I mean? Johnny looks at her with an evil grin. Thanks. TY Ty checks Johnny out as he speaks. JOHNNY Hey fellur, I shore do like that Harley. (CONTINUED) 25. CONTINUED: Thanks. TY Johnny puts on a blank stare as he questions Ty. JOHNNY You an Injun? Ty tries to ignore Johnny. Yes. TY JOHNNY Lots of Injuns round here. You look like a half-breed. Ty looks hard at Johnny. Yeah? TY Johnny ignores Ty's harsh gaze and begins to push him verbally. JOHNNY Wanta sell that Harley? Ty is now amused at the rambling and forward Johnny. He remains cautious. TY No, I worked to long to get it. JOHNNY Well I think, I'd like ta have it. Know what I mean? Ty stands and pulls money from his pocket as he looks at the waitress. The waitress turns to Ty. ERNESTINE Thank you, Honey. You be careful. ya hear? Ty smiles and walks out with Johnny following him close behind. JOHNNY I shore want that bike. I'll trade ya a nearly new Chevy truck fer it. Ty ignores him as he exits. 26. EXT. BLUE GOOSE CAFE - MORNING Ty is outside. He walks next to his motorcycle. Johnny has followed him. JOHNNY Ya gonna do us both a favor? TY Look, I'm never going to sell this bike to anyone. Johnny Dicks is offended and his eyes appear wild for a moment. He stops and immediately changes back to his former calm mood. JOHNNY Don't get smart with me, Dam Injun! Ty is angry and is about to back it up. TY I'm Choctaw, not an Injun you crude son-of-a-bitch. Johnny fumes. JOHNNY Well dam, a half breed. Have it your way, Mr. Big Chief tablet. Ty appears angry and is ready for any action. Johnny looks at him for a second and abruptly walks off mumbling inaudibly to himself. Ty glances at Johnny and laughs to himself. He gets on his bike. Ty starts it and drive out of the parking lot onto the narrow two-lane highway. Johnny watches him go with his hand on the nearly new Chevrolet four by four pick-up he took at the store. He smiles, gets inside and drives in the same direction. Ty blast down the narrow rural highway toward a small town in the distance. Johnny is abruptly behind him just two feet off of his back fender. TY P.O.V. VIEW THROUGH THE MIRROR - Ty glances and sees Johnny' Chevy truck in his mirror and speeds up. (CONTINUED) 27. CONTINUED: BACK TO SCENE They both speed around a curve with engines moaning at full throttle. Ty looks down the road. He sees a sharp left turn ahead. Ty slows slightly to negotiate the turn. A deer darts in front of him. Ty jams on the brakes and then hits the throttle for more speed to miss the Deer. He passes the panicked deer and brushes its hip. INT. DICK'S TRUCK Johnny laughs and whoops as his wild eyes watch Ty's movements. JOHNNY Yee-ha! Road kill! EXT. TWO-LANE RURAL HIGHWAY The motorcycle and Johnny's vehicle blast down the narrow twolane highway. The deer gazes at the scene before entering the forest out of sight. Johnny speeds his truck forward and crashes into the back of the motorcycle as Ty slows down for the next curve. Ty's motorcycle wobbles and falls over. Sparks fly as it skids off the highway and slides to a stop in the tall grass. Johnny spins his truck around in the middle of the highway and accelerates straight for Ty. Ty untangles himself from the wrecked motorcycle. He quickly stands and then hears Johnny coming. He can now see Johnny vehicle bearing down on him. Ty scrambles to get out of the way. Johnny speeds his truck forward trying to hit Ty. The vehicle misses him as he rolls to the side. Ty lands on his feet and looks for a safe exit. (CONTINUED) 28. CONTINUED: Johnny spins the big truck around again. He puts his tattooed arm out the window and fires his nine-millimeter automatic pistol at Ty. Ty dodges the bullets hitting all around him. He runs into the dark forest. Johnny speeds his vehicle forward. The truck knocks the Harley out of the way and crashes into the dense forest leaving flying debris in its wake. EXT. BLUE GOOSE CAFE Deputy Catron drives to the front of the small café. He stops and goes inside. INT. BLUE GOOSE CAFE Catron walks to the counter. The waitress moves in front of him. ERNESTINE What ya need Bubba? The chunky deputy smiles. CATRON That’s not too nice, Ernestine. ERNESTINE I’ll be nice when you do your change over to somebody nice. Catron smiles. CATRON You seen any strange people round here? She looks at him sternly. ERNESTINE Excludin you, there was a guy in here with these stupid cartoon tattoos on his arms. He was lookin pretty stupid. Catron turns and talks as he walks out. CATRON Nope, I’m lookin for an injun. (CONTINUED) 29. CONTINUED: Ernestine smirks and looks at Catron with an amused blank stare. What for? ERNESTINE CATRON Ain't none a your business. The deputy exits toward his car. The waitress speaks quietly to herself as she watches Catron go outside. ERNESTINE Probably woulda thumped your ass if you'd been here. ERNESTINE P.O.V. INSIDE TO OUTSIDE - Catron walks to his car and drives away. Two bears drives into the parking lot and parks. He gets out and walks toward the cafe. BACK TO SCENE Two Dogs walks into the café. TWO BEARS Ernestine, hi. You seen my cousin? She smiles and nods. CUT TO: EXT. FOREST Johnny dodges trees and runs down small bushes searching for Ty. The truck flies across ditches and over rocks blasting through the woods. Ty dodges a large rock protruding from the ground as Johnny bares down on him. Johnny Dicks truck hits the huge rock and comes to a stop on top of it. The rear wheels spin in mid-air. Ty is out of sight. Dick's jumps out of the wrecked truck. He looks in the direction he last saw Ty. His eyes scan the area then he yells out in an insane tone. (CONTINUED) 30. CONTINUED: JOHNNY Hey, Motorman! If you're avoidin me? I'll be voidin you. Johnny looks for a second and turns back to the truck. He opens the driver’s door and pulls the nine-millimeter automatic pistol from the front seat and puts it in his belt. Johnny look for more weapons inside the truck and yells out like a crazy man as he fumbles. JOHNNY (CONT’D) Mr. wab-bit! Come out, come-out where ever you are! Ty watches him from a distance and moves to a better position. Johnny goes to the other side of the truck and opens the door. A dead man's crumbled body is stuffed in the floorboard of the truck. Johnny casually grabs the man’s shirt collar and pulls him out. A large knife is visible in the man's chest as he hit the ground. JOHNNY (CONT’D) Sorry for you buddy. Shoulda been nicer when you loaned me your like a rock truck, you dog. Johnny pulls the large knife from the mans chest. JOHNNY (CONT’D) I may need this. You've had it long enough. Sides you don't have the heart for it anymore. Get it? Johnny laughs at his own joke as he looks at the forest scanning for Ty. He pulls a twelve-gauge pump shotgun from the truck and slings the leather strap across his shoulder. Johnny eyes scan the area again. He yells out to Ty. JOHNNY (CONT’D) Mr. Harley! All I wanted was your bike. But no! You had to act like a greedy little bird! (CONTINUED) 31. CONTINUED: (2) Johnny walks toward Ty's last position watching with very wild eyes. He pauses and scans again with a large smile and laughs slightly. JOHNNY (CONT’D) I think, I need my medication, biker man! Lucky for me I don't have it. Johnny walks forward out of sight. JOHNNY (O.S.) (CONT’D) Harley man, I also forgot, you broke my bike. You're Makin me mad now. Ty sits on a large rock looking at a cut on his leg that is bleeding from when his motorcycle went down. He clears the blood with his fingers and sees it is superficial. Ty hears Johnny talking as he gets nearer. Ty moves for cover. Johnny yells out happily to Ty as he stalks him. JOHNNY (CONT’D) Hey, I guess I should be more forgivin. Can we talk? Ty is discussed and yells back in defiance as he hides behind a large outcropping of rocks. TY Are you freakin crazy? Johnny smiles and moves in the direction of the sound as he speaks. JOHNNY Actually yes… and no. I think my Analysis profile was, and I quote, "criminally insane"! Does that mean I'm different and to be pitied. Ty Looks in the direction of the sound and speaks to himself. TY That's an understatement you crazy bastard. Johnny is walking toward Ty's position in the open getting very close. (CONTINUED) 32. CONTINUED: (3) JOHNNY Hey Motorman, you think I could use your credit card when we're done here? Johnny jumps on top of the rock over where Ty was hiding. JOHNNY (CONT’D) You won’t need it! (looking down) Dam. Ty answers to himself as he moves out. TY Funny, asshole. Johnny is discussed. JOHNNY No need to insult your new friend. But I guess that comes from Your new swippery wittle wabbit attitude. Ty yells out from a different hidden position. TY (O.C.) The cop's are going to find you. They'll be here any minute! Johnny looks unconcerned in the direction of Ty's voice. So! JOHNNY Johnny steps onto flat ground. He looks around the area. He begins to randomly fire his weapon in Ty's direction as he walks casually and talks. JOHNNY (CONT’D) So, so... a hunting we will go, Hiho the dairy oh. A hunting we will go. The shots stops for a moment. JOHNNY (CONT’D) Biker man, about those cops. I think they're lookin for you, more than me. Ty looks like a vigil animal as he watches Johnny. (CONTINUED) 33. CONTINUED: (4) Johnny begins to talk as he walks and scans the area with his wild eyes. JOHNNY (CONT’D) Hey, Hop-a-long Custody. If you come out I won't chop ya up! Ty is trying to keep him busy as he looks for a place to run. TY You need help, you sick Monkey! Dick is amused at Ty and talks as he walks toward Ty's position. JOHNNY Gossip, gossip, gossip! (Johnny has another amusing thought) You think I could make it on the comedy circuit? People are dying that hear me! Ty waits and watches as he talks. TY My bikes back on the highway. I thought you wanted it? Johnny is amused. JOHNNY Naa! I'm mad now. But you know what you are experiencing here is psycho, the thriller! Ty springs from his hiding place and runs deeper into the forest. Johnny raises his pistol. He looks, but Ty is out of sight. Johnny is angry and discussed when he finally sees Ty is not to be found, but fires his weapon anyway. He pauses again and looks in the direction he shot. JOHNNY (CONT’D) Well that's just peachy. Johnny walks toward Ty's location. JOHNNY (CONT’D) I'm comin for ya Motor-gators! Not even John Wayne can save ya now. (CONTINUED) 34. CONTINUED: (5) Ty moves to avoid him. Johnny fires again at the sounds. His wild eyes search the area. Ty dodges a stray bullet. Johnny listens and keeps walking toward the sounds. JOHNNY (CONT’D) Come on, just let me have one little shot. DISSOLVE TO: EXT. TWO-LANE RURAL HIGHWAY - LATE MORNING An Oklahoma State Trooper stands beside his patrol car with the driver's side door open talking on the police radio. The trooper is looking at Ty's wrecked motorcycle. TROOPER Unit thirteen thirty to base. The dispatcher answer. DISPATCHER (RADIO V.O.) Go ahead thirteen thirty. The trooper’s eyes look through the forest as he talks on the radio. He looks back to be sure there is no one behind him. TROOPER I'm at the site and there's a wrecked black motorcycle here with North Carolina plates, two-twothree-one. No signs of anyone. The Highway Patrol base dispatcher answers. DISPATCHER RADIO (V.O.) Ten four thirteen thirty. Be advised an inmate from the L. K. Vance mental hospital for the criminally insane has escaped. He has been reported in the same area. His name is Johnny Dicks. The suspect is considered extremely dangerous. The motorcycle is a possible escapee from the Sequoyah County jail. I’ll run the plates. The trooper looks around the area as he replies. (CONTINUED) 35. CONTINUED: TROOPER Ten four, thirteen thirty out. The trooper hears a rustling behind him, he put his mic away and turns. Johnny is standing with his shotgun aimed at the trooper sporting an evil grin. JOHNNY Surprise, It's Santa with an express bull-et-o-gram! Johnny pulls the trigger. The shot blast the trooper in the chest throwing him back against his police car door. The blast has exposed the man’s bulletproof vest. The trooper recovers and weakly goes for his gun. Johnny fire again and again in the same spot on the troopers chest. His blasts push the trooper against his car door. His chest wound bleeds from the holes in the bulletproof vest and the trooper wilts to the ground. JOHNNY (CONT’D) You're a hard nut to crack! Johnny smiles and walks back into the forest. JOHNNY (CONT’D) I got some more huntin ta do. DISSOLVE TO: EXT. FOREST - AFTERNOON Ty quickly moves down a narrow running brook and out of sight around a corner. Johnny boots and legs are visible as he jumps into the narrow stream of water. He steadily walks forward through the shallow pool before him. Johnny looks around as he speaks. JOHNNY So now it's water sports. So exstream. Pun intended! Clique alert. He is now silent as he walks. (CONTINUED) 36. CONTINUED: Ty is just around the bend. He hides in a dense set of overgrown bushes on the stream's bank. Ty positions himself to run again. JOHNNY (CONT’D) You know, I never hear you laugh. Did you have a bad childhood. Johnny comes around the corner stalking his prey. Ty watches the area like a caged animal looking for any movement. Ty come to a realization. He contemplates his position as he speaks to himself. TY Hell, I don't need to run. I've been trained for this. Johnny comes close to Ty’s position. Ty lunges for him. They fall to the ground locked together. Ty hits Johnny as they struggles. Johnny drops the knife and his guns during the fight. Johnny hits Ty and moves to gets his pistol. Ty grabs the knife and tries to stab Johnny as he moves. Johnny rolls away while Ty hits the ground with the big knife next to his head and drops it. Johnny eyes grow bigger as he gets to his knees. Before he stands Johnny hits Ty with his fist while Ty is still off guard and trying to get up. They struggle again on the ground as Ty picks up the knife. Johnny stands and backs up glaring at the knife and then sees his gun nearby. Ty sees the gun as he gets up. They both look at Johnny gun lying on the ground between them. The two exhausted men cautiously look at each other and then the gun. Ty yields the knife with a threatening gesture at Johnny. He watches Johnny waiting for a opening. Johnny makes a false move toward the gun and laughs. (CONTINUED) 37. CONTINUED: (2) Ty watches intensely. TY (CONT’D) Give it up, loser! Johnny looks indignant and smiles. JOHNNY Ah, I don’t give up. I'm a winner. TY quickly moves in for the gun. He and Johnny struggle as Ty swipes at him with the knife. Johnny dodges and gets the pistol. TY You're what happens when cousins marry. Ty falls back and rolls as Johnny shoots two shots hitting near Ty’s body. The third try at shooting Ty clicks. Johnny stares for a moment. He begins to quickly reloads with a new magazine from his back pocket. Ty disappears into the tree line. JOHNNY Damn, why’d ya leave, dead man walkin? I really need your support on this, can’t do it without you. Johnny eyes scan the area. DISSOLVE TO: EXT. FOREST - NIGHT Ty can hear sirens and see emergency vehicle lights illuminating the skyline in the direction of the downed trooper. He moves out toward the lights. Johnny personality has changed again. His eyes are ablaze as he frantically searches for Ty moving through the thick foliage of the forest. Ty has a look of determination on his face moving forward through the forest as Johnny follows. Johnny stumbles, but continues to scan the forest as he yells out for Ty. (CONTINUED) 38. CONTINUED: JOHNNY Come on out, don't try to run. Johnny's got a gun! Ty jumps on top of him from a tree. Ty has his belt off and wraps it around Johnny's neck and begins to choke him as they struggle on the ground. Johnny jerks and kicks as Ty hangs on squeezing the life out of him. TY Relax, it's over for you. Johnny drops flat to the ground not moving. His face is blue and his mouth is open drooling. Ty stands and looks down on him triumphantly. He smiles exhausted. Johnny abruptly jerks upward and grabs Ty's legs causing him to fall to the ground. Dick’s abruptly seizes Ty’s throat and chokes him. Surprise! JOHNNY Ty is caught totally off guard. He begins to fight Johnny grasp on him. Ty pulls his big knife from his belt and tries to sticks it in Johnny' midsection. The sharp knife slides to the side and cuts across Johnny’s ribs leaving a minor gaping wound. They break apart and stand. Ty swings his knife again and connects with Johnny across the same wound. Johnny screams from the pain and drops to the ground on his knees. Ty looks down again, exhausted. He kneels to finish the job. Johnny quickly revives and hits Ty with his fist. He then slams a large hardwood stick he picks up across Ty’s forehead. Ty is dazed but still fighting. He is getting stronger and knocks Johnny to his knees. Johnny gets up and swings at Ty. JOHNNY (CONT’D) Gettin tired little man? (CONTINUED) 39. CONTINUED: (2) Ty moves to the side and hits Johnny in the mouth causing him to fall back. Ty hits him two more times. TY You got me pumped now, low life. Johnny fakes being weak and gets a lucky punch and knocks Ty back. JOHNNY That hurts. He recovers and looks for Johnny. Johnny is gone. Ty looks toward Johnny last location. He catches a glimpse of Johnny as he exits the scene through the dense forest. The tired Marine stands up and moves out toward the distant lights again. EXT. RUINS, OF OLD SANDSTONE MISSION - DAWN Ty appears worn down as he walks cautiously continuing through the forest. He is still moving toward the lights in the distance. The bright sun rises from behind a hillside and lights the dark forest. It dims Ty’s lit beacon in the distance that he has been moving toward. Ty come to an opening. He looks up on a hill and sees the old ruins of the sandstone mission. Ty then looks into the distance, far away. He can hear police and their dogs moving toward him. Ty looks back to his left at a small stream, a hundred yards away. He sees Johnny cross the stream and move toward his open location. The sun highlights the criminal’s image making him easy to see. Ty hears a noise and can see two hunters walking from the opposite direction laughing and talking. Ty waves his arms to warn the hunter's. Johnny looks up. He sees Ty waving. (CONTINUED) 40. CONTINUED: Johnny then turns his attention to the hunters. He quickly unslings his shotgun and shoots the first hunter. The man drops to the ground. The second hunter drops back behind a tree at the same time chambering a bullet in his rifle. Johnny looks up at Ty. He smiles and shakes his finger at him. a bullet hits a tree next to Johnny. He quickly turns his attention to the surviving hunter and fires his weapon two times. Johnny begins to walk toward the hunter still firing his weapon. The hunter shoots back but misses. Johnny is on him and shoots. The hunter falls back and dies. Johnny blows on the barrel of his shotgun and smiles. He looks back at Ty. JOHNNY I'm comin for ya bubba. Ty comes out of his shock of observing the murders. He looks around for a hiding place. His eye catches an old massive set of sandstone stairs that lead up and into the remains of the mission. A large hill sets behind the building serving as it's back wall. The weather and aging have long since destroyed the Mission’s roof but the windowless stone walls stand strong. Ty quickly and cautiously moves to the steps. He climbs them without delay. INT. RUINS, OLD STANDSTONE MISSION - MORNING Ty rapidly crosses the long leaf covered sandstone floor. He moves near the old stone alter in the back. Inaudible voices of police can be heard far away over a strong breeze that blows though the mission. Ty runs his fingers through his thick hair to push it back from his sweating face. His dark eyes glance back searching for Johnny. Johnny' wild eyes search the area for Ty. (CONTINUED) 41. CONTINUED: a large clusters of Bats flutter from the darkness in the back of the old mission when they are disturbed by Ty's approach. He dodges them as they pass over and around him. Ty stops and looks around for a moment before moving on. Johnny hears the bats flutter and peers toward the old mission. He smiles. Johnny moves rapidly toward the ancient ruins. Ty continues to walk across the leaf covered sandstone floor. Ty feels the stone floor weaken. He is taken by surprise when it rumbles and the entire floor gives way. Ty yells as he falls through the heavy surface. EXT. FOREST Deputy Catron walks with an Oklahoma Lieutenant State Trooper and two other troopers. Cecil Blackfox and Marie follow. CATRON Thanks for the tip from that man of yours. Is he all right? They keep walking. So far. LIEUTENANT Catron continues to talk. CATRON I been tryin to find that convict but he’s pretty slick. The trooper nods and walks on. LIEUTENANT Come on, we’ll check the old mission first. Its not to far from here. INT. CAVERN Ty has grabbed the edge of the hole with one hand. He dangles above a dark rushing underground river that is immediately below him. A remnant of debris from the fallen floor descends into the rushing water. 42. EXT. CAVERN Johnny rushes up the stone steps with pistol ready to find Ty. JOHNNY Hey buddy, I'm tired, Come on out. I forgive you! Johnny hurriedly moves to the back of the stone mission looking around for Ty. He stops near the big hole in the floor. Johnny is standing on Ty's fingers and doesn't know it. INT. CAVERN Ty's face is covered with the look of pain. EXT. CAVERN Johnny speaks to himself. JOHNNY Damn Einstein, you're just to smart. Johnny moves again. INT. CAVERN Ty falls into the swift moving underground river running along the wall of the cavern. Just as the current slams him into the man made stone wall that lines the cavern room and drags Ty along. He is able to catch a protruding stone in the wall and stop himself from being washed further down the river. Ty can see glimpses of the sun shining through the hole he fell through as he tries to keep his head above water. The light from the hole, lights the cavern room. EXT. CAVERN Johnny looks down and smiles greedily at having found his prey. (CONTINUED) 43. CONTINUED: He fires his weapon two times and misses Ty. Johnny can sees that he can’t hit him from where he stands. He puts his pistol in his belt. Johnny yells and jumps through the stone opening in the floor, into the river below. Yee haa! INT. CAVERN Ty struggles to keep his head above water as the current tires to carries him away. Johnny yells out as he swims toward Ty. JOHNNY I got ya Motorbo! Ty's clings to the stone. Johnny tries swimming to Ty, but the current drags him past his intended victim. He grabs a protruding stone on the wall and stops. Ty watches as water pours over him. TY You're going to die, low-life! Johnny is not impressed with Ty's positive attitude. JOHNNY Send flowers! You incentive bastard. Abruptly Ty's head goes out of sight. He tries to swim with the current. He falls over a ten feet high spillway into a calm and beautiful man made stone pool. Johnny lets go and the current takes him toward the spillway. The pool beneath the waterfall sets at the end of a two hundred feet long cavern room. The rolling river rushes out the opposite end of the long pool and into a dark cavern that disappears into the hillside. Johnny falls into the pool from the spillway above. Just as Johnny falls from the waterfall. Ty surfaces from under the dark water and gasp for breath. He frantically looks for Johnny while the falls beat down on his head from above. JOHNNY (CONTINUED) 44. CONTINUED: Ty begins to swim and look. He glances up and then across the pool. Johnny breaks the surface of the water with a gasp for air. He is too near the end of the long pool where the current is strongest and he is caught in the river current. It pushes him against the rocks. Johnny is roughly pulled toward the dark hole in the cavern wall. JOHNNY (CONT’D) I'll be back motorman! Ty smiles as he watches Johnny gasp for air and fight the strong current. The rushing river and the dark hole swallow Johnny. Ty is smiling with relief. TY Good riddance. You crazy son-of-abitch. Ty swims to the edge of the lagoon and grabs the ledge. He pulls himself out of the pool. Ty stands dripping wet looking around the giant ornamented room. Ty looks up when he hears the noise of the police again. He runs down the long cavern and sees bright sunlight coming though the hole in the floor where he fell. Ty now sees shadows ripple across the hole. Ty climbs over rocks and ledges to get out of sight. EXT. RUINS, OLD SANDSTONE MISSION - LATE MORNING Four Oklahoma State Troopers and Deputy Catron look down the hole curiously where Ty fell through. Cecil Blackfox, stands with them watching the open hole in the floor. A concerned Marie Keen waits in the background. Cecil takes a mental note and speaks out-loud as he thinks he sees something. CECIL Hello, down there. Is that you, Ty? INT. CAVERN Ty smiles and silently looks up at the sunlit hole waiting to see what happens next. 45. EXT. RUINS, OLD SANDSTONE MISSION Cecil looks over the edge of the hole. He squints peering down at Ty’s location but not seeing him. CECIL Tyrone, what's you doing in a mess like this? Cecil waits and hears nothing. CECIL (CONT’D) If you're down there come on out. I got you a good Indian lawyer. Your general is gonna help you too. Ty looks at the sunlit hole, but doesn't speak. He waits for the next move. The lieutenant state trooper looks down the hole. LIEUTENANT I can’t see anything. Cecil looks down the hole. He wants to talk more. CECIL I been looking for you ever since you didn't come home on time. I thought you were dead or something till Two Bears called and said he found you. Cecil waits and begins to talk again. CECIL (CONT’D) Come on out, Ty. We can beat this. I don't want you to get hurt. (Cecil pauses for a moment.) Tyrone, there's a crazy man shot a trooper up here. Before the medics got him, he told us he found your motorcycle and you were probably dead up here somewhere. Ty can see the police through the hole. He yells up to his uncle anyway. TY (O.S.) Uncle Cecil? (CONTINUED) 46. CONTINUED: CECIL Yes, it's me, Tyrone, Uncle Cecil. Catron stands by quietly and patiently listening. Ty finishes his statement as he looks at Cecil. TY (O.S.) Get me out of here. Cecil looks at the lieutenant of the state troopers. CECIL He wants out. The trooper smiles and lower a rope with his men as he talks to Ty. LIEUTENANT Put the rope around you. We'll pull you up. All right! TY (O.S.) The lieutenant speaks again. LIEUTENANT Keep your hands where we can see them? Ty is angry but yells back as the rope comes down. TY (O.S.) All right, lower the rope more. The lieutenant yells down. LIEUTENANT Have you seen the crazy man with the tattoos on his arms? INT. CAVERN TY answers as he ties the rope around himself. TY Yeah, he's dead. He was washed down this underground river. The rope tightens. Ty begins to be raised as he climbs up the rope. The trooper yells down to him. LIEUTENANT (O.S.) Keep your hands in sight! (CONTINUED) 47. CONTINUED: Ty continues to climb and ignores the trooper. The Lieutenant and a trooper pulls him up. A second trooper holds a gun on him. EXT. CAVERN Ty climbs out. His uncle hugs him and looks Ty over. CECIL Glad you are home, I am happy. Marie embraces Ty and kisses him. She holds him tight. Two troopers grab Ty roughly and handcuff his hands behind his back. Marie and his uncle appear sad but relieved. Catron pushes Marie and Cecil out of the way, and looks at Ty. CATRON Got ya again, punk. TY Marie, I love you! I didn't do what they say. Marie pushes past the state troopers and puts her arms around Ty. Catron looks on. CATRON Old bad ass there did it Girly. He’s already an escape convict. The troopers pull her away and push Ty to move out of the mission area. Catron follows. Marie yells to Ty as they drag him away. MARIE It'll be okay, Ty. I love you! We'll get the lawyer. The troopers continue to drag him down the forest trail with Catron waddling behind. CATRON Your ass is mine now. Old Judge Mead’ll double what ya got. Marie glares at him. (CONTINUED) 48. CONTINUED: MARIE Don't listen to him, Ty. We'll get help. EXT. TWO-LANE RURAL HIGHWAY Ty, the Troopers, Catron, Cecil and Marie walk from the forest. They see the wrecker with Ty’s motorcycle hoisted on the back of it. Three patrol cars, an older pick-up and an ambulance sit near he wrecker. The wrecker driver, Two Dogs Two Bears sits on the hood of his vehicle smiling. The troopers puts Ty inside their patrol car. Catron gets in his car and yells out to the troopers. CATRON I’ll see you and the outlaw at the jail. The troopers nod. Cecil looks at the lieutenant. The ambulance leaves in the background. CECIL Ty's cousin will take his motorcycle to my house. The trooper nods an okay and gets inside the patrol car and drives away with Ty. Catron follows. Cecil waves to Two Dogs sitting on the wrecker. Two Bears gets off the wrecker and inside the cab. He pulls onto the highway behind Catron. Marie looks at Cecil. MARIE I'm afraid for Ty. CECIL Me to child. We'll get him out of this mess somehow. Marie drops her head and sobs as they move to the pick-up and get in. Cecil drives away. 49. EXT. TWO-LANE RURAL HIGHWAY Two Dogs drives casually a few car links behind Catron’s patrol car. INT. TWO BEARS WRECKER Two Dogs smiles and enjoys moving closer to Catron’s patrol car. INT. PATROL CAR Catron looks back and sees the wrecker closing on his back bumper. CATRON What the, som bitch? INT. TWO BEARS WRECKER Two Dogs smiles and moves closer to Catron. EXT. TWO-LANE RURAL HIGHWAY Catron’s tattooed arm goes out the window waving Two Dogs off. Cecil’s pick-up comes up on Two Dogs’ wrecker. INT. TWO BEARS WRECKER Two Dogs looks in his rear view mirror and backs off of Catron. EXT. TWO-LANE RURAL HIGHWAY Cecil passes Two Dogs and wages his finger at him as he goes by and Marie waves her approval. Williams gives an innocent smile and drives on. EXT. MOUNTAIN SIDE, NEXT TO INTERSTATE HIGHWAY - NOON A long span bridge sets across the interstate highway near a large mountain with a cavern opening. Water rushes from the mouth of cavern into a rolling river below. The river runs under the bridge and around the mountain. Abruptly Johnny blast out of the cavern riding on a wave of rushing water. (CONTINUED) 50. CONTINUED: He hits the river below and surfaces with a gasp for air. Johnny treads water and laughs as he surveys the area, happy to be alive. JOHNNY Damn, what a ride. EXT. POLICE STATION CITY JAIL The lieutenant pulls into the parking lot and unloads Ty pushing him toward the back entrance. The trooper speaks to Ty. TROOPER You're in a lot of trouble. Lookin at a lot of years. Ty is amused at his ridiculous situation. TY You don't know the half of it. They walk inside. Catron pulls up in his patrol car and parks. Two Bears, drives the wrecker past. He watches his cousin. DISSOLVE TO: INT. POLICE STATION CITY JAIL Deaver Dicks sits on a bunk minding his own business. The three inmates in the cell with Deaver are looking him over. CLANCY, a large man gets up and moves in front of Deaver. Deaver casually looks up. DEAVER What ya need peewee. CLANCY Why you insulting me? Deaver smiles big. DEAVER Cause you are stupid and arrogant? (CONTINUED) 51. CONTINUED: Clancy grabs for Deaver. Deaver doesn’t get up. He punches Clancy hard in the balls. Clancy bends over in pain with his face near Deaver. Deaver casually takes his finger and pokes him very hard in the eye. DEAVER (CONT’D) Oh, what a blinding experience. Clancy yells out. CLANCY You put my eye out. Deaver stands and puts his arm around Clancy’s neck pointing his head toward the concrete wall. DEAVER This is a heady experience. Deaver dust his head off with his hand. Clancy pleads. CLANCY Please man, don’t do it. I’m sorry. DEAVER I thought you might be. So I won’t kill ya. Deaver runs Clancy’s head into the hard wall and lets go. Clancy falls to the floor squirming in pain on the floor. Deaver kicks the man in the stomach. CLANCY Okay you win. Deaver turns to the other two prisoners. DEAVER Anybody else want ta get punched in the nuts or would you rather have a concrete hat. The other prisoners shake their heads no. Deaver smiles steps over Clancy and sits down. DEAVER (CONT’D) Good, Let's keep it that way. EXT. INTERSTATE HIGHWAY ROAD SIDE PARK - NIGHT A very cold Johnny walks into the roadside park uncharacteristically whistling. (CONTINUED) 52. CONTINUED: A single street lamp lights the area. Johnny walks past a tractor-trailer. The young DRIVER looks down at him. TRUCK DRIVER Hey man, what happened to you? Johnny looks up dripping wet. JOHNNY I fell in the river. The truck driver smiles and gets out of his truck holding a fresh towel. TRUCK DRIVER Here dry yourself off. The driver hands Johnny the towel. He dries his hands and face then his hair and looks at the driver while handing him the towel. JOHNNY Today is you families lucky day. The driver looks at him curiously. TRUCK DRIVER What are you talking about? JOHNNY Your family is going to cash in on your life insurance. Johnny come out with a large folding knife from his hip pocket and stabs the driver in the chest before he can defend himself. The drive wilt to the ground. Johnny takes his wallet then takes the cash from it and throws it away. He rolls the man under his truck. Johnny cleans his knife on the back of his pant leg and puts it in his back pocket. Johnny walks away whistling. He notices a very new Red G-T Mustang. Johnny walks toward it. He moves his pistol under his shirt behind his back. He puts on a fake smile and tries to appear friendly. (CONTINUED) 53. CONTINUED: (2) TEDDY, A young man sits with a pretty young WOMAN inside the Mustang laughing and talking. Johnny stops beside the drivers window where the man sits. He knocks on the window. JOHNNY (CONT’D) Hey Macho man, could I get a ride to town? The overhead light comes on in the car and the man rolls the window down looking out at Johnny. No man. TEDDY Johnny stares inside at the occupants. JOHNNY I'm wet and cold, but, the Marlboro Man has spoken. So, I guess it's kiss my ass. The man speaks to him again. TEDDY Hey dude, get loss! Johnny smiles. The woman is concerned with Johnny' presence and puts her hand on her friends arm to get his attention. WOMAN (O.S.) Come on, Teddy. Let's go. JOHNNY Yeah Teddy honey! You better go before this stud kicks your ass and takes your girl. You wouldn't want the girl next door to see that? The man is angry and gets out of his car. Johnny Grabs the door and slams it on the man. He takes his pistol out and hits the man in the head with it. The woman jumps out the other side and runs screaming. WOMAN Somebody help! Please help! Johnny smiles as he watches her run. (CONTINUED) 54. CONTINUED: (3) JOHNNY Help me. Help me, I'm so scared. Johnny grabs the nearly unconscious man by the hair and pulls him away from the car. JOHNNY (CONT’D) Are ya scared Marlboro? Johnny pushes him to the ground while kicking and beating his limp body. JOHNNY (CONT’D) This is really unplugged man! Johnny stops the fierce beating. He gets in the car and starts it. Johnny backs out running over the man with a bumping sound. He sticks his head out the window. JOHNNY (CONT’D) Out of the road lumpy! INT. MUSTANG Johnny pulls his head back in. He sees the woman yelling and banging on a travel trailer door in the distance. Johnny speeds forward straight for her while smiling and talking to himself. JOHNNY Nobody said being crazy is easy. But I get by. She sees him and runs down the road screaming. The girl crosses the street trying to get away. A MAN steps from the trailer looking in the woman’s direction. TRAILER MAN What's wrong? Johnny presses on the gas and runs the man down. He speeds on. The man’s wife and teenage daughter comes from the trailer to check on the man. Johnny is amused. He sings as he toys with the young woman he is after. Johnny pulls the car close behind her and slightly bumps the woman. She screams and looks back as she runs. (CONTINUED) 55. CONTINUED: JOHNNY I got you babe. Ohh, I got you babe! EXT. INTERSTATE HIGHWAY ROAD SIDE PARK A RANCHER drives into the park driving his mud splattered Ford F-250 truck. Johnny P.O.V. CLOSE ON THE RANCHER THROUGH THE WINDSHIELD - He stops and watches for a moment to see what is happening. The man quickly speeds his truck toward Johnny and the woman. The pick-up skids to a stop between them, The rancher gets out with his pump shotgun. He jacks a shell in the chamber. The woman quickly hides behind the man’s pick-up. BACK TO SCENE Johnny pushes the gas pedal to the floor. The motor moans and the tires spin driving straight for the rancher. The man aims his shotgun and fires. The pellets lightly peppers Johnny's windshield. Johnny slams on the brakes and slides his vehicle. The car begins to slide sideway in the road and move toward the rancher. Johnny shoots him three times as the car slides to a stop and the man falls to the ground. Johnny’ vehicle stops next to the man lying on the ground. Johnny looks down at his victim. JOHNNY What's your story hero? The rancher’s eye droop and he weakly looks up at his attacker. RANCHER Leave the girl alone. Johnny just watches him for a moment. JOHNNY That was original and macho. I Like it. (CONTINUED) 56. CONTINUED: The rancher passes out. Johnny looks around the area. He sees the woman running. Johnny decides to end it all. He pushes hard on the accelerator and the car begins to close on the woman. He hits the running girl and throws her to the side into a ditch. Johnny speeds forward. INT. MUSTANG he looks up in his rearview mirror. JOHNNY P.O.V. THROUGH THE WINDSHIELD - He sees people getting out of their cars and trucks moving toward the woman and more interior lights go on as others get out of their vehicles. BACK TO SCENE Johnny drives onto the interstate and out of sight. DISSOLVE TO: INT. POLICE STATION CITY JAIL Ty sits on an Iron bunk in the small jail cell with three other inmates across from him on a similar bunk. Two of the inmates are smoking. Ty is irritated as he fans the heavy smoke from his face. Across the hall from Ty is Deaver Dicks, arguing with another inmate. DEAVER Shut up, Daisy Mae. The INMATE glares at Deaver. INMATE That’s right. You better sit down. Deaver sits on his bunk and stares at the wall. Marie and Two Dogs walk inside the jail hall escorted by a policeman. Ty sees Marie and stands. (CONTINUED) 57. CONTINUED: Most of the prisoners in the jail move to the bars and begin to whistle and yell obscenities. A rough looking prisoner behind Ty in the same cell, yells and point at his face. PRISONER Baby, I got a place for ya to sit. Ty turns and slaps him to the ground and glares at the others in the cell with him. TY Get some respect scum. Marie yells out. Two Dogs smiles. No, Ty! MARIE When the prisoner tries to stand. Ty hits him again. The prisoner stops and puts his hands up and sits down. The other prisoners meekly look on. The policeman yells. POLICEMAN Hey, knock it off! We got company. (He shakes his large nightstick at Ty and the prisoners.) Or I'll give you a taste of this. Deaver smiles and remarks to the policeman. DEAVER I don't think, they'd want it after I stick it up your ass. The inmates laugh. Two Dogs is still smiling. Ty glares at the policeman. Deaver is amused. He looks at Marie. DEAVER (CONT’D) Hey, Indian. How much? Two Dogs abruptly grabs Deaver’s shirt and pulls him forward slamming his face and body into the bars. Two Dogs lets Deaver go and he falls back a little with a bloody nose. Deaver grabs at Two Dogs through the bars. The inmates keep laughing. Two Dogs doesn’t move he just pushes Deaver off. (CONTINUED) 58. CONTINUED: (2) The policeman looks mean at Deaver and slam his stick on the bars in front of Deaver’s face. POLICEMAN Settle down. He looks at Marie. POLICEMAN (CONT’D) You got five minutes. EXT. POLICE STATION CITY JAIL Johnny drives the Mustang to the rear of the jail entrance. He stops and watches. INT. MUSTANG Johnny turns on the car radio to a heavy metal rock station as he smiles and speaks to himself. JOHNNY An impossible task?... (thinking) I don't think so, Bat Boy. The opportunity lies before me. Johnny smiles to himself. He gets out. EXT. POLICE STATION CITY JAIL He walks to the back steps that lead to the rear entrance and sits down with his head bowed. KURT, a policeman pulls his car into the parking lot. He stops his cruiser and gets out with a handcuffed prisoner. The policeman stops with the prisoner in hand and speaks to Johnny. KURT Hey buddy, you can't sit here. Move on. Johnny stands and pushes his knife deep into the policeman's stomach. JOHNNY Good night crime buster. Silence is golden. Kurt is shocked and he wilts to the ground dying. (CONTINUED) 59. CONTINUED: The prisoner is panicked and backs up. His eyes show the fear. PRISONER Hey man, I didn't see nothin. Johnny smiles. The prisoner is now frozen in place staring at Johnny waiting for his next move. PRISONER (CONT’D) Come on man! I’m bad like you. Johnny is still smiling looking at the prisoner. He sings a quiet version of a song by Peter, Paul and Mary as he stares. JOHNNY If I had a hammer! I'd hit you in the forehead. If I had a hammer, I’d hit ya in the morning. The prisoner turns and runs with his hands cuffed behind him. Johnny is amused as he watches him go. He yells out at the prisoner just to scare the man a little more. JOHNNY (CONT’D) Run punk! Dam light weight. You run like a bitch. Johnny turns and tries to open the back door. It is locked. He looks at it. He gets a simpleton look and rubs his chin thinking. Johnny smiles and pulls his pistol from his belt. He casually shoots the door lock two times. Johnny easily pulls the door open. JOHNNY (CONT’D) Open says me. Johnny looks around and moves inside. INT. POLICE STATION CITY JAIL Ty, Two Dogs and Marie hear the shots. Ty looks at Marie and then around the room. He sees an old desk. TY Marie, hide behind the desk. Marie nods and rushes to her hiding place. (CONTINUED) 60. CONTINUED: Ty nods for Two Dogs to go out and check. Two Dogs moves toward the doors. INT. POLICE STATION HALL OF CITY JAIL Johnny moves slowly down the hall. Two policemen rush toward the door with weapons drawn. They see Johnny with his pistol in hand. The policemen immediately take cover and start rapidly firing at Johnny. Johnny pushes himself back against the hall wall as bullet’s zing past his body. He waits a moment then smiles and quickly returns fire. JOHNNY Red alert, cop attack. The police shoot back. Bullets fly all around Johnny and he draws back. Johnny shoots back at the police then rushes them. Johnny’s bullets hit both policeman. JOHNNY (CONT’D) The Police Academy Shootin School didn't do you guys a bit a good. Two Dogs watches the scene from seclusion and sees the police go down. One has dropped his weapon and it slides near him. Two Dogs takes the policeman’s weapon and moves to hide and wait behind a desk. Johnny is still grinning as he blows the barrel of his weapon. JOHNNY (CONT’D) Bingo! Hole in one or two. Johnny moves down the hall and turns the corner to move into the room where Two Dogs is waiting. JOHNNY (CONT’D) Deaver. Deaver Dicks. You in jail? Johnny steps out and Two Bears shoots two shots at him. Two Bears watches Johnny closely from behind the desk. (CONTINUED) 61. CONTINUED: Johnny falls back against the wall thinking and watching the area in front of him. He steps out again and Two Bears shoots. Johnny rushes Two Bears yelling. Two Bears rises to shoot him, but has to duck because Johnny is rapid firing at him. Then out of desperation Two Bears stands and starts firing his weapon matching Johnny bullet for bullet. They are both out of ammunition. They stop and wait for a moment. TWO DOGS What now you crazy bastard? JOHNNY Must you insult your guest? Two Bears moves in on Johnny. The two men clash and fight fist to fist. Johnny falls back and grabs an oak leg of a broken desk and hits Two Bears across the head. Two Bears falls to the floor. Johnny hits him three more times while he is down with sickening thuds. Johnny stands and drops the leg. He picks up Two Bears' weapon that has fallen to the floor. JOHNNY (CONT’D) You just experienced the leg of justice. Johnny walks forward toward the Dispatch room. INT. POLICE STATION CITY JAIL, DISPATCHER'S ROOM Johnny steps inside the dispatch room. He quickly shoots throw the desk directly in front of him. A young policewoman falls out from behind the desk bleeding. Johnny gets the keys from her gun belt and then takes her automatic and ammo while she watches wrenched in pain. Johnny quickly moves to the jail cell area entrance and opens the door. (CONTINUED) 62. CONTINUED: JOHNNY Deaver, Deaver Dick. You in jail? INT. POLICE STATION CITY JAIL, CELL AREA Johnny steps inside. He sees his brother, Deaver. Johnny puts on a big smile. JOHNNY Deaver! It's your little brother! Deaver sees his brother and yells. DEAVER Yeah buddy! Johnny boy! The whore dog toy. Johnny moves quickly to unlock the jail cell door. Deaver steps out and Johnny hands him the policewoman’s gun. Sirens are heard in the distant background. JOHNNY Weapons ready, Deavy. Ty recognizes Johnny. Deaver goes to the desk, jerks Marie up and drags her kicking and screaming with him. Johnny looks at Deaver with a question on his face. Insurance. DEAVER Johnny smiles and nods. JOHNNY What an intellect. DEAVER Thanks for gettin me out, Johnny boy! I think they were gonna kill me this time. They turn to go. The prisoner that Deaver had argued with yells to him. PRISONER (O.C.) Hey man let us out. (CONTINUED) 63. CONTINUED: Deaver quickly shoots the prisoner. Johnny looks at him. The prisoner falls to the floor and the others draw back into the cell. Johnny is still looking at Deaver. Deaver smiles. DEAVER A crude bully at best. He needs more discipline. Johnny shrugs his shoulders and starts to move outside the jail hall. He stops and turns. JOHNNY You know what? He and Ty's eyes lock. Johnny starts shooting. Ty falls backward going down to the concrete floor trying to get away from the gun shots. He hits hard and is knocked out. Blood runs from Ty’s head where he hit it on the hard floor. Johnny sees the blood thinking he has shot Ty. JOHNNY (CONT’D) And there's bully number two. He smiles and looks at his brother starting to sing and snap his fingers. Deaver and Johnny’ dialogue overlaps singing. JOHNNY AND DEAVER Bully… wooly bully, wooly bully! Hey now, hey now. They laugh and walk into the next room singing in unison with Marie screaming Ty's name while Deaver drags her along by the hair of the head. Ty, Ty! MARIE Marie grabs the doorsill and is jerked through the opening out of sight. INT. POLICE STATION CITY JAIL, DISPATCH ROOM Johnny and his brother shoot the lock off of the police station’s metal gun cabinet and open it. Deaver gets a stupid smile. (CONTINUED) 64. CONTINUED: DEAVER Treasure hunts over. They take the shotguns and rifles inside along with the ammunition and move toward the outside door grinning with Marie in tow. JOHNNY What a positive day. DEAVER We sent our ship out and it has come in. JOHNNY Better to light a candle than to curse the darkness. DEAVER Good one. You goofy guy. The looks at each other like school boys and move on outside. EXT. POLICE STATION CITY JAIL Johnny and Deaver rush toward the red Mustang dragging Marie. They stop for a second and Deaver looks at the car. Cool car! Johnny smiles. JOHNNY You always were a car nut. DEAVER Not as big as you. JOHNNY Bigger numb ass. They smile and get inside the vehicle with Marie. INT. MUSTANG Johnny starts the car. JOHNNY P.O.V. A police car slides into the parking lot. A policeman gets out behind his door and starts shooting. (CONTINUED) DEAVER 65. CONTINUED: BACK TO SCENE Johnny is angry. He looks at his brother and Marie. JOHNNY Excuse me, while I take care of this very rude intruder. DEAVER Shoot the turd before he screws up the paint job. Johnny steps out of the car. JOHNNY This is a real car and driver moment. Deaver smiles very big and turns on the car radio to some rock music as gunfire is heard in the background. Johnny looks back. DEAVER Little background music for the adventure bro-hoe. Johnny smiles and moves toward the policeman. EXT. POLICE STATION CITY JAIL, PARKING LOT Johnny continues walking toward the policeman firing his automatic pistol. The policeman tries to fire his weapon back at Johnny, but he is too busy dodging Johnny's bullets. Johnny quickly changes magazines while he walks and keeps shooting. The policeman backs off behind a tree. Johnny fire at him two times. The bullets hit near his face. JOHNNY TURNS AND STARTS SHOOTING THE WINDSHIELD, TIRES AND ENGINE OF THE PATROL CAR. JOHNNY WHIRLS AROUND AND SHOOTS AT THE POLICEMAN AGAIN AS HE STICKS HIS HEAD OUT FROM BEHIND THE TREE. The policeman ducks back behind the tree. (CONTINUED) 66. CONTINUED: Johnny returns to the Mustang turning and firing at the policeman as he walks. The officer steps out to shoot at Johnny. Johnny sees his chance. He quickly fires and hits his mark. The policeman is hit in the thigh and falls. Johnny gets back in the Mustang and Deaver speeds away out of sight. The (WOUNDED POLICEMAN) weakly gets up and goes to his hand held radio and keys it. Sires are heard. WOUNDED POLICEMAN Dispatch this is thirty two sixteen. DISPATCHER RADIO (V.O.) Got ahead thirty two sixteen. WOUNDED POLICEMAN We've had a break out at the county jail. Two Caucasian males driving a late model red Mustang. They are armed and extremely dangerous and me an ambulance. DISPATCHER RADIO (V.O.) Roger, hang in there thirty two sixteen. Help is on the way. WOUNDED POLICEMAN One of'em is that crazy bastard that broke out of the nut hospital. DISPATCHER RADIO Roger, we're on it. (V.O.) The wounded policeman limps to the jail and starts to go inside. He sees the policeman Johnny stabbed lying behind a bush. The policeman limps to the body and sits down to help. A deadly silence lingers for a moment over the dead policeman in the parking lot. Six police cars speed on the scene and slide to a stop with sirens blaring. (CONTINUED) 67. CONTINUED: (2) The officers get out of their cars armed with shotguns and rush to the back door and cautiously move inside while two policemen help the wounded officer and check the dead officer. INT. MUSTANG (RURAL DIRT ROAD) Johnny and Deaver speed down the dusty road. Deaver smiles at his brother. DEAVER Thanks, Johnny Boy! They were going to Kentucky fry me for sure this time. Johnny smiles with him. JOHNNY What were you in for mini brain? Deaver grins and looks serious for a moment. DEAVER I shot a guy at a liquor store. When he cashed in his Monopoly money the cops said it was my fault. I say it was his shabby medical service. JOHNNY Probably didn't have health insurance. DEAVER If he did it was probably an offbrand. Johnny pats him on the shoulder and smiles. JOHNNY Leave it to Deaver. They laugh. Deaver looks at him. DEAVER How'd ya know I was in jail? Johnny glances at him and grins. JOHNNY I called mom. Deaver looks sad and a little frightened. (CONTINUED) 68. CONTINUED: DEAVER Damn, keep it cool, Johnny. I don't want her to know so much. She's got serious attitude issues. JOHNNY She's our mom. DEAVER Maybe yours. JOHNNY Deav, are just now figuring out you're illegitimate. I'm sorry you're a turd. Deaver smiles at his brother. Marie’s eyes scan the vehicle for a possible escape route or opportunity to get away. INT. POLICE STATION CITY JAIL, CELL AREA Ty lies on the floor knocked out. Sounds of police coming in can be heard. The prisoner that Ty had hit earlier stands over him. The prisoner kicks Ty. Ty comes around and groans. The prisoner kicks him again. Ty comes to and abruptly gets up slamming the prisoner against the bars. TY You just can't help being a punk can you? Ty hits The prisoner knocking him on his bunk and moves to hit him again. Three policemen rush inside the jail cell to stop them from fighting. An AGGRESSIVE POLICEMAN takes the lead. (CONTINUED) 71. CONTINUED: AGGRESSIVE POLICEMAN Break it up. Ty is crazed with anger from his situation. He side kicks the closest officer. Ty abruptly elbows the second policeman in the face. He then grabs the third policeman as he goes for his gun. Ty takes the third policeman's gun. He puts the barrel of the weapon to his head while holding him with his arm around the policeman's neck. Two more policemen enter with guns drawn. OFFICER KING speaks to Ty. KING Put it down convict. Ty is still boiling with anger. TY Put yours down or I'll blow a hole through this dumb asses head. Things are going to change for me today. The inexperienced policeman tries to talk Ty out of his hostage. KING Take it easy. I'm Officer King. We'll forget this whole thing if you'll just put the gun down. Ty has had it with justice and glares at the police. TY I don't care if you're Officer winking ass. You ass holes put me in jail for a crime I didn't do and you let two lunatics escape with the woman I love. I'm in charge now. I couldn't possibly do worse The officer tries again. OFFICER You're just adding more trouble to your situation. Ty does not care about any of the circumstances. He's mad. (CONTINUED) 72. CONTINUED: (2) TY Listen up super boy. I'm leaving with officer macho here. If you try to stop me before I get those idiots that have Marie. I'll waste him and anyone else that gets in my way. OFFICER You know we can't let you leave. TY Then say your good bye’s. Cause, I'm sure I can put a bullet in Mr. Macho here with plenty of time left for you. The officer is nervous. OFFICER All right, just relax. We'll back off. The patrolman glances back and motions for the other officers to back off. The police back up a little. Ty is determined. TY Not good enough. Put you guns down and get in this cell. The lead officer nods to his men. The two officers put their guns down cautiously and enter the cell. Ty grabs the keys off of the belt of the lead officer entering the cell. He moves outside and shoves the officer he is holding inside with the others. Ty turns and hurries to the exit. Before he gets out, he hears a moan and sees Two Dogs set up. Ty goes to Two Dogs. Ty checks Two Bears head wound and he flinches back. Ty helps him get up. TWO BEARS How’d you get out? Ty smiles. (CONTINUED) 73. CONTINUED: (3) TY Tell ya later. Let’s go. Two Dogs and Ty move toward the rear exit. EXT. COUNTY COURT HOUSE JAIL Ty and Two Dogs move out the rear door. Ty jumps inside the first patrol car. He tries the keys he took from the police officer. They don't work. Damn. TY He jumps out and tries the next car. The keys work. Two Dogs gets inside. Ty starts the car and he drives away. DISSOLVE TO: EXT. TOM’S RURAL GROCERY STORE Ty stops the police car in the rear of the grocery store. He and Two Dogs get out. Two Dogs nurses his wounds and goes into a wood-side garage. A late model black Corvette blast out of the garage next to the store. It blast past the front door of the country store. Smoke boils from the tires as it hits the two-lane highway. The sleek Corvette blast down the deserted road. In the distance the car spins around and speeds back to the country grocery store. Ty steps from the garage as his cousin stops the Corvette in front of him and gets out. He speaks to Ty in his chopped Indian accent. TWO BEARS Ty, my brother, I thought you might be by for your machine. I built it just like you said. TY Thanks, Two Dogs. His cousin smiles. TWO BEARS Call me by my right name. Ty pats him on the back. (CONTINUED) 74. CONTINUED: TY Two Bears, you’re the best. His cousin smiles and hands him the keys. Ty turns and his cousin pulls him back. TWO BEARS You forget something? Ty is puzzled. Thanks? The cousin smiles. COUSIN No dummy. Give me the keys to the cop car. I'll park it in the lake. Ty smiles and hands him the keys. TY Listen, I’ll take it from here. No one knows about you yet, so let’s leave it that way. Two Dogs nods. Ty gets inside the Corvette and speeds away. Two Dogs waves like a lonely child. DISSOLVE TO: INT. POLICE STATION CITY JAIL, DISPATCH ROOM - AFTERNOON Catron is walking through looking at the aftermath of the shoot out while paramedics take bodies out and police check the scene. Catron turns to the Lieutenant State Trooper. CATRON What now, the escape artist is gone? LIEUTENANT We’ll get him, just like the last time. But this guy doesn’t act like a criminal. There’s something different about him. CATRON He’s a crook. Call me next time. I’ll hang on to em. TY (CONTINUED) 75. CONTINUED: The trooper gives Catron a rude look. LIEUTENANT Like you did on the way to prison. Catron shrugs his shoulders. CATRON He had a streak of luck. LIEUTENANT Yeah, lucky he had you. DISSOLVE TO: INT. MUSTANG – LATE AFTERNOON the Dicks brothers see Ty. Their heads turn in unison looking at him pass. JOHNNY AND DEAVER P.O.V. INSIDE TO OUTSIDE - Ty looks at them as he passes on the narrow highway. BACK TO SCENE. Johnny slams on the brakes and slide his car around in the middle of the road. He pushes hard on the gas and in a few seconds he blast in behind Ty's Corvette. Maria is yelling for Ty. Ty! MARIA JOHNNY Shut her up! Deaver is intensely watching Ty. DEAVER That's him, the guy you killed. Johnny is disgusted. JOHNNY Well he's alive now. MARIE Yeah, alive enough to do you morons in. (CONTINUED) 76. CONTINUED: JOHNNY Like I said, shut her up. EXT. TWO LANE RURAL HIGHWAY The red Mustang is almost on the back bumper of the powerful Corvette. The Mustang and the Corvette engines moan as their horsepower comes to full force. The brother’s car speeds forward in tandem with the Corvette as it accelerates. The Mustang's front bumper touches the Corvette's rear bumper as they blast down the narrow tree lined highway headed for a long curve. The Corvette accelerates and pulls away. It's lights go out and the Corvette is out of sight. The Sleek Corvette cuts toward the opposite lane and slams on the brakes. It spins around in the middle of the road and then roars past the Mustang going in the opposite direction before Johnny can begin to stop. INT. MUSTANG Deaver smiles. DEAVER Whoa! Another Oscar winning performance. Johnny concentrates on the road. He and his brother talk as he spins the Mustang around in the center of the road at top speed and moves forward to catch the elusive Corvette. But they see nothing as they start to speed forward. JOHNNY Shut up, bitch! You're cheerin for the other team. Deaver is cool toward his brother. DEAVER Don’t you mean, shut up Deaver? You bitch. Johnny glances at his brother. He speeds up to try and catch the evasive black Corvette. JOHNNY Whatever, you bitch. Deaver rolls his eyes. (CONTINUED) 77. CONTINUED: DEAVER Whatever, bitch to you, bitch. Johnny rolls his eyes. JOHNNY We really know who the bitch is already. Don't we? EXT. TWO LANE RURAL HIGHWAY The Mustang speeds down the road searching for Ty. The Corvette speeds head on toward the Mustang with its lights out and then abruptly turns them on blinding Johnny. Johnny swerves the Mustang to avoid a collision. Deaver quickly leans out the passenger window of the Mustang and fires a sawed-off automatic shotgun four times at the elusive image of the Corvette. The Corvette is hit in the taillight while accelerating to full speed. The black car turns quickly and speed away down a narrow dirt lane. The Mustang spins around in the middle of the road and makes the turn onto the dirt road. Johnny speeds down the county road in pursuit. INT. MUSTANG (RURAL DIRT ROAD) - DUSK The brothers have lost the Corvette again. They cruise slower looking. Johnny turns off the headlights and cruise on down the dark dirt lane. Johnny and his brother Deaver can see Cecil Blackfox's house in the distance. Deaver leans over and turns up the hard rock music. He glances up and points. DEAVER That's the house. The old man's house. Johnny speaks to his brother as they speed along. JOHNNY Screw the house. That Corvette freak is around here somewhere. Deaver squints to see the distant house. (CONTINUED) 78. CONTINUED: DEAVER Let's go there. He'll show up. JOHNNY Keep watching. DEAVER P.O.V. INSIDE TO OUTSIDE - Then out of the darkness the Corvette is visible through the Mustang windshield in the distance. Johnny drives slow with the lights still turned off, looking. He is still unaware. BACK TO SCENE Deaver looks at Johnny. DEAVER There! That's it. The guy. JOHNNY Just shoot that son-of-a-bitch, when you see him! Deaver is put by his brother’s attitude. He turns Johnny's head so he can see the Corvette. They both laugh. Bingo. DEAVER Deaver sticks his head out of the side window and fires three shots. He sits back in his seat. JOHNNY Who is that guy? MARIE He's the bad ass that going to have your ass. JOHNNY I'm the bad ass. Right here. You're lookin at him. DEAVER Yeah, we're bad. The Corvette spins around and speeds toward them. Deaver panics. MARIE Here he comes bad asses. (CONTINUED) 79. CONTINUED: DEAVER Oh hell. He's coming straight for us. Johnny is surprised. He looks at his brother. JOHNNY Just steady that shotgun. Johnny P.O.V. The speeding Corvette is bearing down on them. BACK TO SCENE They smile at each other entertained by the danger and begin to sing to the “Bonanza” theme song. JOHNNY AND DEAVER Boo-doom, boo-doom, Bonsai. Boodoom, boo-doom, boo-doom Bonsai. Deaver yells out. DEAVER Let's get that mask man. They both laugh. Johnny accelerates and heads toward the Corvette. I on it. JOHNNY Johnny is wild and pushes harder on the accelerator. The Mustang blast forward getting closer to the Corvette. Johnny P.O.V. INSIDE TO OUTSIDE - The sleek Corvette lane and speeds away. cuts to the opposite Johnny slides around in the road and speeds after Ty. The Corvette is out of sight. BACK TO SCENE Johnny slows down. He and Deaver squint and look for the Corvette. JOHNNY (CONT’D) Damn, I need some of those thick glasses with the nose and mustache. (CONTINUED) 80. CONTINUED: (2) DEAVER He's here Johnny boy, keep lookin. Johnny cautiously and slowly rolls around a long curve in the small road. The Mustang idles forward. Johnny carefully looks for his enemy. JOHNNY Me thinks this may be a trap, mate. DEAVER Me thinks you do a poor Brit. Deaver silently stares at the road ahead. Johnny looks closer at his brother as the Mustang slowly rolls forward. He is completely distracted from watching the road. JOHNNY Deaver, you got a huge black booger hangin out of your nose. Deaver looks angry at his brother. Hell no! DEAVER Johnny laughs to himself. JOHNNY No man, it looks like a huge black rope. Deaver touches his nose and speaks to his brother in a nasal tone. DEAVER I just want to know one thing, Johnny? Johnny raises his eyebrow in recognition. The car continues to roll forward around the curve. DEAVER (CONT’D) Is that your hair or is it a turd laying on your head? Johnny is amused. MARIE You're both idiots. (CONTINUED) 81. CONTINUED: (3) DEAVER Shut up wench. JOHNNY Deaver, you dumb turd you have insulted your loving brother. DEAVER Love is only skin deep. The Mustang rolls around the curve and stops. Johnny and Deaver look at each other. They then look forward. JOHNNY There he is. Johnny P.O.V. The black Corvette is crosswise in the road. Ty stands behind it, slightly visible. DEAVER (O.S.) That stupid ass is in the middle of the road just standing there. BACK TO SCENE Johnny grins. JOHNNY The cheese came to the mouse. They get big smiles. Marie's eyes dart back and forth looking for a chance to escape or disable the brothers. MARIE The only rats here are you. (CONTINUED) 82. CONTINUED: (4) JOHNNY This is the last time I'm tellin you. Shut up you chatty girl. Johnny and Deaver looks back at each other and yell out in unison. JOHNNY AND DEAVER Power play! EXT. TWO LANE ROAD Ty opens his bag that sits on the hood of his car. He takes a nine millimeter automatic hand gun from the bag and puts in his belt. He pulls out a two piece rifle and quickly puts it together. Ty tosses the bag on the ground. He aims at the two brothers. TY P.O.V. CLOSE ON THE DICKS BROTHERS THROUGH THE SCOPE - Ty can see the men through his infra-red scope on the rifle. TY (O.S.) I got you now asshole. BACK TO SCENE His trigger finger pulls slowly back. TY P.O.V. CLOSE ON MARIE THROUGH RIFLE SCOPE cross hairs of the scope. BACK TO SCENE Ty backs off and waits with his rifle ready. INT. MUSTANG Johnny and Deaver keep looking forward. JOHNNY Let's get him, Deav. Johnny vehicle moves forward. DEAVER It's done brother. Marie is visible in the (CONTINUED) 83. CONTINUED: The brothers begin to sing and Marie starts fighting them. Deaver grabs her hair and stops Marie without interfering with his singing. JOHNNY AND DEAVER Help me, Rhonda. Help, help, me, Rhonda. The Mustang rolls forward. EXT. RURAL DIRT ROAD The Mustang is still rolling steadily forward. Ty looks again through the cross hairs of his rifle-scope. TY P.O.V. CLOSE ON MUSTANG THROUGH THE RIFLE SCOPE –The Johnny brothers slowly move closer. He can see Marie's head moving behind them, making it impossible to get a clear shot. BACK TO SCENE Deaver leans out of the Mustang window and fires the shotgun. DEAVER Yee-ha, Shogun! JOHNNY Shoot'em again, Deav. Ty lies his rifle on the hood and picks up a pump shotgun. He steps in front of his car and starts shooting at the front of the Mustang's tires and grille. As the Mustang gets close, Ty jumps to the side. Ty is to slow, the Mustang hits him knocking Ty into a water filled drainage ditch. The car travels on. It hits a glancing blow to the back of the Corvette and splits the gas tank. Ty looks up weakly from the water filled ditch. Gas runs toward him from the damaged Corvette. The Mustang is still running, but slightly damaged in the front. 84. INT. MUSTANG Johnny speeds the Mustang backward to line up for another charge. JOHNNY We got'em buddy. Marie fights and screams. MARIE You missed him. Deaver immediately hits her, almost knocking her out. DEAVER I told you to shut up. Blood trickles down her forehead as her dazed face falls forward and she slumps in the back seat. Deaver and Johnny are now staring straight ahead looking outside. JOHNNY When we get to a drug store get that woman some Valium. Johnny and Deaver get out of the Mustang. EXT. RURAL DIRT ROAD The men look around the area. They see the Corvette sitting in a pool of gasoline. Johnny smiles. Deaver grins as he lights a book of matches. DEAVER How about a little hell fire and brim stone? CLOSE ON - Johnny looks at the logo of the cafe on the matches Deaver holds. It is – “BLUE GOOSE CAFÉ”. Deaver tosses the matches into the gas puddle. Johnny is amused. JOHNNY Rock my world, baby! (CONTINUED) 85. CONTINUED: The flames travel to the Corvette. It blows up and throws flames thirty feet around. Ty submerses in the water filled ditch as the gas flames cover him. Johnny looks at Deaver. JOHNNY (CONT’D) Stay and watch the party girl. Johnny walks closer to the burning car. The gasoline is all around Ty. Johnny looks to toward Ty. He can see Ty’s image in the ditch with flames over him. Johnny smiles. DEAVER Burn baby burn. Johnny looks down. He is standing in a large pool of unburned gasoline. He looks up the flames are rapidly moving toward him. Johnny tries to run. The Corvette blows up again and the pool of gasoline burst into flames, blasting Johnny twenty feet away with his feet on fire. Deaver gets Marie out of the car so he can check on his brother and watch her. DEAVER (CONT’D) Come on bitch. She looks at the flames and cries for Ty. Deaver looks toward his brother. DEAVER (CONT’D) Johnny, ya hurt? Johnny is putting out the fire on his legs and feet. He gets up from the area where he landed. Johnny dust himself off and walks to his brother. JOHNNY What makes you think that? I got blown twenty feet with a fifty foot flame up my ass. I’m good. Deaver slaps his brother on the back of the head. (CONTINUED) 86. CONTINUED: (2) DEAVER Knock it off. Is the guy dead or not? Johnny looks happy. JOHNNY Yeah, saw him go up in flames myself. Let's go to old what's his name's house. Deaver drags the crying Marie back to the Mustang. They all get in the vehicle and drive away with parts falling off of their wrecked car. Ty stands from under the water taking a very deep breath. He surveys the area and starts walking in the direction of the Mustang. INT. MUSTANG - MORNING Johnny speeds forward pushing the red Mustang to go faster down the dark county road. JOHNNY Deav, it's time ta ditch this car and hang out at the old man's place till things blow over. Deaver smiles and looks at Marie. DEAVER Yeah, and have some fun for a change. They both glance at Marie and laugh. Marie is still sobbing for Ty. MARIE You'll never get away with this. DEAVER Yeah we will. Johnny and Deaver look at each other and break-out singing. JOHNNY AND DEAVER Hey, hey. We’re the monkeys! We're not just monkeyin around. They laugh again. 87. EXT. CECIL BLACKFOX HOME The banged up Mustang rolls to a stop out of sight behind some trees near Cecil’s home. Johnny gets out of the car. He looks back at his brother and Marie inside the Car. Johnny whispers. JOHNNY I'll signal ya. When I've got it all under control. Deaver waves. DEAVER Okay, Johnny. I’m havin this woman while you’re gone. Johnny cuts his eyes toward his brother. Quiet. JOHNNY Deaver rolls up the side glass. DEAVER Come on baby. Johnny goes back to the car. He knocks on the glass. Deaver rolls it down. DEAVER (CONT’D) What now, I'm taking Viagra, so I can be a hardened criminal. Johnny grabs him by the nose. JOHNNY No, Deaver. You watch for my signal. Don't go rodin around till ya get to the house. Deaver answer in a nasal tone while in pain. DEAVER All right Johnny. You got me outa the mood, anyway. Johnny lets go of his brother's nose. (CONTINUED) 88. CONTINUED: JOHNNY Okay, once again. I'll signal ya. When I've got everything under control. Got it. Deaver nods and rubs his nose. Johnny moves toward the house. Deaver watches him move through the trees to the yard. Johnny sneaks across the yard. He hears a small dog barking. Johnny moves along the wall to the back door. He looks through the window inside. Johnny P.O.V. He sees no one. BACK TO SCENE Johnny tries the doorknob. It turns and he steps inside. INT. CECIL BLACKFOX KITCHEN A frying pan clangs across Johnny' face and a small red Dachshund bites him on the leg. He screams. JOHNNY P.O.V. Johnny has a blurred vision of Cecil and the dog. Cecil charges him with a meat cleaver. Johnny moves quickly and Cecil misses sinking it into the door. BACK TO SCENE The dog bites him again. Johnny drops his gun. Cecil grabs it. He hears a voice. DEAVER (O.S.) Not to fast old man. Cecil sees Deaver holding Marie by the hair. Johnny stands and speaks up as the dog chews on his leg. He takes the gun from Cecil. JOHNNY Get this damn wiener off my leg. Cecil picks up his dog. (CONTINUED) 89. CONTINUED: CECIL It's all right, Herky. It's all right. (looks at Marie) You all right Marie? Marie nods. Johnny strikes Cecil across the face with the back of his hand and stares at him as he falls backward. JOHNNY Thanks, Deav for covering me. That brain smasher hurts like hell. Deaver grins. DEAVER Lucky he didn't have much to smash. Johnny ignores him and shoves Cecil in a chair next to the kitchen table. JOHNNY Stay, you old fart. Two Bears comes out with a bandage on his head aiming an old double-barrel shotgun at the Dicks brothers. TWO BEARS Hands up you freaks. Johnny turn and look at him. Deaver smiles. DEAVER Well look here. It’s the home guard. Two Bears watches them close. Deaver pulls Marie in front of himself with his gun to her head. Johnny speaks up. JOHNNY Who’s in charge now, home guard? Two Bears stands firm with his shotgun. Deaver looks coldly at Marie then Two Bears. DEAVER Lower the gun and we won’t hurt anyone. Two Bears smiles. (CONTINUED) 90. CONTINUED: (2) TWO BEARS Are you nuts? Deaver smiles. DEAVER I’m gonna count to three then blow her head off. You count Johnny. Deaver looks into Two Bears eyes. Two Bears keeps aiming his shotgun. Johnny grins as he counts. JOHNNY One, two... Two Dogs is showing doubt. Deaver is confident. DEAVER What’s it gonna be, big chief? Two Bears relaxes. Johnny takes his old shotgun then pulls Two Bears to a chair and sits him down. Two Bears looks at Marie and Cecil. TWO BEARS I am sorry. Deaver smiles and sets Marie at the kitchen table near Cecil. Cecil comforts her. JOHNNY No balls is what you are. Johnny goes though the kitchen drawers. He finds a roll of gaffers tape. Johnny tapes Cecil to the chair with his hands behind his back. JOHNNY (CONT’D) That'll keep you out of my hair with that iron comb. Deaver speaks up. DEAVER I'm going up stairs for a little R and R. Johnny grins and tapes Two Dogs to the chair. (CONTINUED) 91. CONTINUED: (3) JOHNNY All right. I'll get us somethin to eat and take the second shift with sweet thang there. I guess we'll need to watch these monkeys too. Deaver is happy. He looks around the kitchen and picks up a half empty bottle of liquor from the Cecil's liquor cabinet. Everyone is looking at Deaver. DEAVER What, Refreshments for my journey. Deaver grabs Marie and starts to drag her up the stairs. Marie resist kicking and scratching. TWO BEARS Leave her alone. Two Bears and Cecil struggle in their chairs and Johnny shoves them down then holds his gun on Two Bears and Cecil. Two Bears still squirms in his chair and gives the brothers and evil stare. TWO BEARS (CONT’D) You losers'll pay for this. Cecil looks harshly at the two thugs. JOHNNY Ya hear that deav we're losers? CECIL P.O.V. Deaver slaps Marie to the floor and pulls her up by the arm. Deaver and Marie disappear struggling all the way up the staircase. DEAVER I heard. Look whose losin now. BACK TO SCENE Johnny opens the refrigerator and pulls out food to make a sandwich. He starts fixing his meal. Cecil speaks up. CECIL You cannot get away with this. (CONTINUED) 92. CONTINUED: Johnny says nothing. He just looks at him for a moment. Johnny gets a strip of tape and puts it over Cecil's mouth. JOHNNY I already have. Johnny smiles and looks in the drawers for a pencil. He finds a black marker and draws a happy face on the tape. Cecil looks at him with defiance on his face. Two Dogs speaks up. TWO BEARS Ty is coming for you. JOHNNY Oh, a home coming, how sweet. But, I regret to inform you he's a goner. Cecil is surprised when he sees an image through the kitchen window. Ty's wet face is watching. He moves out of site. CECIL What makes you so sure? Johnny speaks to Cecil JOHNNY You expect to much from old nephew. I made him a crispy critter about an hour ago. Cecil rolls his eyes. JOHNNY (CONT’D) That's right old man. He's toast. Two Bears is upset TWO BEARS His spirit will get you and cut your balls off. Johnny laughs. JOHNNY Is that some kind of Indian voodoo? Two Bears grins (CONTINUED) 93. CONTINUED: (2) TWO BEARS Not voodoo. Indian medicine for your bad ways. No balls for general principle. Johnny turns to his large sandwiches to eat and ignores Two Bears. INT. CECIL BLACKFOX HOME, UPSTAIRS BEDROOM Deaver slings Marie onto the bed looking at her lustfully. DEAVER Get ready baby. You're mine tonight. Marie just stares at him. MARIE Like hell, you loser. Deaver takes a drink from his bottle and sets it on the dresser. He moves toward Marie. DEAVER Love is in the air. Marie lies on her back and kicks at him. MARIE Get off me. Deaver squeezes between Marie's legs. He jerks her loose summer skirt up. Deaver pulls at her lace bikini panties. They rip and he throws them on the floor. DEAVER Well ain't those cute. Deaver pauses and hits Marie very hard. She stops kicking. DEAVER (CONT’D) That's it baby, relax. MARIE Go to hell. Deaver pushes her legs further apart. Marie starts to squirm and weakly fight Deaver. Deaver looks around the room. (CONTINUED) 94. CONTINUED: The window is open. Just as Ty has him around the neck from behind choking the life out of him. TY That's it you bastard. Relax and die. Deaver quickly elbows Ty in the groin and turns on him with a vengeance. DEAVER I don't think so! MARIE Be careful Ty. Deaver hits Ty in the face three times before he can recover. DEAVER Cain't we git rid of you? Ty steps toward Deaver and gives him a forearm across the throat. Deaver face shows the pain as he gasps for air. Deaver quickly recovers and continues the fight. Johnny yells out from downstairs. JOHNNY (O.S.) What the hell's goin on? Deav? You need some help with the little woman? Marie goes to the dresser and grabs the whiskey bottle. As Ty and Deaver fight. She hits Deaver across the forehead and breaks the bottle. Marie is left standing with the broken bottle in her hand. Deaver breaks free of Ty and comes for her. She panics. Deaver starts to grab Marie. Marie thrust the broken bottle into his face. He screams. Ty grabs Deaver and breaks his neck with a pop and a crunch. Johnny can be heard running up the staircase. He burst into the room. He surveys the area and starts shooting his pistol. (CONTINUED) 95. CONTINUED: (2) Ty and Marie duck to the floor. Ty pulls out his pistol and starts blazing away at Johnny. Sirens are heard in the background. Ty is hit in the arm. Marie screams out for Ty. Just as Johnny is hit in the shoulder from Ty's automatic. Police can be heard downstairs breaking into the house. Johnny stands in front of the second story window. He looks toward the noise. Damn. JOHNNY (CONT’D) While he is unaware, Ty lunges and they both go out the window. EXT. CECIL BLACKFOX HOME, EAVE OF THE PORCH Johnny slides free and falls to the ground. Ty fires at him. The police rush outside. General Morse and five armed combat ready Marines slide to stop in a Hum-vee. They disembark and go inside the house. Ty goes back inside the bedroom from the roof. The police search the grounds. INT. CECIL BLACKFOX HOME, KITCHEN A Marine cuts the tape off of Cecil and rips the tape off of his mouth then unties Two Dogs. General Morse looks at Cecil and Two Dogs then gives an order. GENERAL Secure the house! A sergeant standing nearby responds. Yes, sir. He turns to the men. SERGEANT (CONT’D) Secure the house men. SERGEANT 96. THE GENERAL’S P.O.V. INSIDE TO OUTSIDE - The police turn and look toward the Marines as they take their positions around the house. BACK TO SCENE Ty comes down the staircase with Marie as Cecil and Two Dogs walk into the room. They stop beside the general. The general nods friendly and looks at Cecil. GENERAL Thanks for the call. Cecil acknowledges. TY’S P.O.V. INSIDE TO OUTSIDE - Ty and Marie look at the flashing lights and police cars in the yard. Five local police and Deputy Catron watch the house with weapons drawn. BACK TO SCENE The general steps into the doorway. EXT. CECIL BLACKFOX HOUSE Deputy Catron speaks up. DEPUTY CATRON We've come to pick-up the escaped prisoner. The state boys couldn’t hold him. The general answers firmly. GENERAL Sorry gentlemen, this is federal business now. Catron is angry. DEPUTY CATRON What the hell has the Damn army got to do with it? The general chuckles. (CONTINUED) 97. CONTINUED: GENERAL The Marine Corps is here to pick-up one of its own. We'll sort this out in the courts later. Catron gets angrier. DEPUTY CATRON Hell no! We're taken'em. He starts to take a step. The general gives and order to his men. Standing around the house. GENERAL Lock and load! The Marines lock and load their rifles, ready for any action. All pointed at Catron and his police. Deputy Catron freezes in place. He just stares at the general and his men. DEPUTY CATRON Listen here Mr. Big. You can't come in here doin this. GENERAL I can and I have. Back off deputy. Out of the quiet the beat-up Mustang's engine starts and speeds away. Catron looks at the car and then at the general. He gets a idea. DEPUTY CATRON Come on boys. They was cover-in for the scum! Let's go. You turn his in at the courthouse. Catron and his police jump into their cars and speed after the Mustang. Sirens can be heard in the distance. The general looks back at Ty and smiles. The departing flashing police car emergency lights luminate their faces. EXT. RURAL DIRT ROAD The Mustang slides around a sharp curve with a police car on his side, trying to wreck him. 98. INT. MUSTANG Johnny laughs and shoots his weapon three times into the driver. JOHNNY That's for my brother, cop! He watches the police car go out of control. EXT. HIGHWAY The police car smashes into a huge outcropping of rocks and burst into flames. Johnny Mustang speeds on. Another police car is on his side again crashing into the Mustang. Three others follow at high speed, close behind. INT. MUSTANG Johnny jerks the steering wheel and crashes into the police car next to him. JOHNNY Next, quality is job one. The cars grind fenders as they head for a concrete bridge under construction. Johnny laughs and turns his steering wheel slightly pushing the police toward the bridge. EXT. RURAL DIRT ROAD He forces the police car into the bridge. The side is ripped off as it begins to flip and crashes into construction equipment. INT. MUSTANG Johnny laughs as he continues at full speed. JOHNNY Gaa-ly! You've flipped. He sees another road work sign 99. CLOSE ON SIGN - “ROAD CLOSED” Johnny is shocked and slams on his brakes. JOHNNY Whoa, the end. EXT. RURAL DIRT ROAD The Mustang crashes through the signs and barriers. It hits a steel beam running it through Johnny. INT. MUSTANG He squirms in his seat to get out of the way. Johnny looks down and smiles as he sees the steel beam through his body. He weakly speaks to himself. JOHNNY Life's been a hell of ride. The Mustang dangles on the beam over a hundred feet deep canyon. EXT. CANYON The car creaks and pops as it begins to slip from the beam then it falls. It rockets to the canyon floor and burst into pieces and burns. EXT. BRIDGE The police cruisers slide to a stop near the edge of the bridge. Deputy Catron jumps out and looks at the burning Mustang remnants below. He glances at the deputy beside him. DEPUTY CATRON The some-bitch went ta hell and got away. Hot damn it! DISSOLVE TO: EXT. MARINE AIRBASE, PARADE GROUND, CHERRY POINT - DAY A Company of dress-blues Marines stand honor guard while a couple pass under crossed sabers in a gala Marine Corps wedding. (CONTINUED) 100. CONTINUED: Ty and Marie stop and passionately kiss when they exit the crossed sabers. Marie tosses her bouquet back behind her while she kisses Ty. Cecil catches it and appears embarrassed. Ty and Marie wave to the crowd. The general salutes Ty and Marie as they enter a limousine and speed away. EXT. MARINE AIRBASE, CHERRY POINT The limousine exits the front gate. It proceeds down the boulevard. INT. LIMOUSINE Ty looks out the front window of the limousine as he kisses Marie. TY’S P.O.V. INSIDE TO OUTSIDE - Ty sees Deputy Catron and his squad car blocking the road. BACK TO SCENE Marie looks up shocked. Two Dogs is driving the limousine. He smiles and turns to Ty and Marie. TWO BEARS Deputy Dog just doesn’t give up. Two Dogs turns back to his driving and slows the limousine down. Ty looks forward getting ready to get out. TY P.O.V. INSIDE TO OUTSIDE - From out of nowhere a black helicopter appears. It has the silhouette of a woman’s head with her hair blown back painted on the nose. The words (CHOCTAW WIND) are emblazoned below the logo. It lands between the limousine and the police car. Three Marines get out. Two of the Marines move to Catron’s car and grab the deputy. They move him to the helicopter and put the struggling deputy inside. The helicopter flies away. (CONTINUED) 101. CONTINUED: The third Marine gets into Catron’s car and parks it on the median. He gets out and runs to the limousine and gets in. BACK TO SCENE Ty smiles and the limousine moves down the street. INT. LIMOUSINE Ty looks back as he talks. What next? Marie smiles. MARIE Our honeymoon. Ty smiles. Two Dogs speaks up. TWO BEARS Should I go? Ty and Marie turn and kiss ignoring him. Two Dogs smiles. Guess not. TWO BEARS (CONT’D) TY EXT. CITY STREET, CHERRY POINT - LATE AFTERNOON The black Helicopter flies at a very high altitude into the sunset. DISSOLVE TO: INT. C-130 CARGO TRANSPORT AIRCRAFT The airplane drowns forward. Two men and Catron appear serious and solemn while sitting on a metal bench next the wall of the aircraft. Deputy Catron is dressed in a flight suit with a parachute on his back. Catron looks at the two men, holding him. DEPUTY CATRON What the hell is this? Where are we? (CONTINUED) 102. CONTINUED: The men do not answer. One of the men, begins pinning the rank of a four star general on Catron's shoulder lapels. Catron starts to struggle. A large Sergeant pushes him down in his seat. Catron relaxes. Another man gets out a map and puts it in Catron's hand. Catron glances at it. A canvas pouch with food in it is hung on his shoulder. A canteen on a web belt is quickly put around his waist. Catron fumbles with the map. He looks closer. CLOSE ON – The map is title: "IRAN". The two men move Catron to the back doors as it lowers to open. He looks down. The aircraft is flying so high he can't make out any land marks. DEPUTY CATRON (CONT’D) We're flyin kind of high ain't we? The two men push him out the back attached to a static line that pulls his rip-cord while he descends. Catron screams. What the… DEPUTY CATRON (CONT’D) The two men smile and go back to their seat as the back door of the plane closes. EXT. IRAQI AIRSPACE The C-130 aircraft turns west and flies in the opposite direction. Catron begins to float to the ground. EXT. IRAN DESERT Catron hits the ground cussing and fuming. DEPUTY CATRON Dam outlaws. Wait till I get back home. sons-a-bitches. He stands tangled in the parachute. Catron hears rifle bolts being closed. He looks around. Iranian rebels looking very mean surround his position. Catron appears surprised. He looks at his map and then at the stars on his shoulders. (CONTINUED) 103. CONTINUED: DEPUTY CATRON (CONT’D) Hell boys, this ain't what you all think. FADE OUT: THE END
