Give thanks for God’s presence and grace throughout the election process, that it was mostly peaceful, free and fair. We continue to pray that God will fill
our government with His truth, in all truth and with all peace: where it is corrupt, to purge it; where it is in error, to direct it; where anything is amiss, to
reform it; where it is right, to strengthen and confirm it; where it is in want, to furnish it; where it is divided and rent asunder, to make up the breaches of it.
(adapted from Bishop Geoff Quinlan’s Prayers of Intercession)
Give thanks for all the generous contributions to our building fund. Pray for continued generosity, so that we can reach our target and commence with our
building that we might continue with our ministry and mission.
Lord make me an instrument of your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
where there is sadness, joy.
Divine Master, grant that I may not seek so much to be consoled,
as to console;
to be understood, as to understand;
to be loved, as to love:
for it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.(The Prayer of St Francis)
