awards our Apprentice Chefs came out on top.

Held on Sunday 6th of July at West Coast Tafe the ACFWA Apprentice Chef of the Year Awards is the

awarded Silver in the category of Second Year Apprentice. The awards kept coming with Stacey
Donnelly taking out the highest honour of the 2008 WA Apprentice Chef of the Year, closely
followed by Shane Middleton who was awarded Bronze. Two second year Apprentice Chefs were also
in the finals for the category of Second Year Apprentice – Cameron Wetton and Mark Pearson.

Executive Sous Chef – Claire Lewis said “This is not an easy competition to enter it takes a lot of guts
from the apprentices to put themselves out there. But through consistent motivation, encouragement and
guidance, the apprentices always aim to win and take the experiences away with them to grow from.
We are so proud of their achievements and know that this is just the beginning to a long and successful
