Kitty Flanagan

Charming & Alarming

Good News Week and The 7pm Project regular Kitty Flanagan, is bringing her own brand of 99%
fact free humour to Perth for one night only!

Years ago, when Kitty left Australia, she was probably better known for her character work on The
Sketch Show and Full Frontal (also a sketch show, and not a nudie mag as the name suggests)
But with no more sketch shows to muck around in and zero nudie mag offers Kitty decided to
pursue a career in stand-up. She moved to London and honed her skills working the pre-eminent
(and not so pre-eminent) UK comedy club circuit.

“Some of the funniest, traditional, freeform standup comes from visiting Australian
Kitty Flanagan” – The Observer (UK)

For the past eight years she’s been a regular at all the best clubs and all the big festivals around
the world, including Edinburgh, Montreal and Aspen. And since landing back home has
supported visiting international artists such as Wayne Brady and Jason Alexander.

“Effortlessly hilarious. Sharp, topical and very funny" The Age, Melbourne

       “Cruel...vicious...charming...innocent – 4 stars” Edinburgh Evening News

It’s been a long time coming but now she’s finally ready to come and do her thing in Perth, to
launch herself on a largely unsuspecting festival audience with the show CHARMING &
ALARMING. For One night only at The Astor Theatre she will showcase a definitive collection
of her best standup along with some special extras...just like a DVD only in real life!
