                              Full-time courses: The Access to HE Diploma courses are also available full-time - apply online: www.southgate.ac.uk

     Designed to give mature students the opportunity to develop essential study skills for university, realise your full potential, develop English and Numeracy skills, apply ICT skills; as well as learning
     specific subject knowledge. Our part-time route lasts 2 years (also available 1 year full-time, see our Full-time Prospectus or website). Although there are no age restrictions for this course it is better
     suited for adult students. No formal qualifications are required but you may be required to pass the Preparation for Study initial assessment tests and demonstrate a commitment to hard work. We
     will need a satisfactory reference. Access courses start week beginning 14 September. Details of day(s) and time(s) of sessions will vary to match the timetable of the full-time course.

     This programme provides you with an opportunity to progress onto a wide range of degrees at university, for example: Biological Science, Life Science, Biomedical Science, Ecological Science,

     ESOL courses are aimed at students who wish to learn English, and who live and work in England permanently and need to improve their English. These courses are also suitable for refugees and

     Level 5 Foundation Degree Coaching and Sports Development FdSc Full Time and Part Time routes.
     The Programme aims to prepare students for jobs within the coaching and sports development sector of the sports industry. In addition the course will enable you to progress onto the 2nd or Final
     year of the BSc (Hons) Sports & Exercise Science degree at Middlesex University. Classes are on Mondays – Fridays and times vary from morning classes to evening classes on various modules.
     Thirty percent of the programme is delivered at the University (Hendon Campus) and remaining seventy percent at Southgate College. The programme can normally be studied over two years full-
     time or three years part-time. There are 35 study weeks each year. There are four level one and four level two modules. Each module has a credit value of 30 credits. Total number credits for the
     programme are 120 credits at both level one and two. You will need to pass all modules to gain the degree. An innovative feature of the course is the level one and two sports work experience
     module, which combines active and reflective learning with different experiences amongst professional sports groups including coaches, professional players and management of professional teams.
     Four modules are taken per semester for full-time whereas a maximum of two are taken for part-time study. The degree is validated by Middlesex University.
