Summer internship deadline: Nov. 21, 2008

Canwest News Service is seeking four energetic, resourceful student journalists to work
as interns at its Ottawa office in the summer of 2009.

A multimedia, 24/7 news operation, CNS serves 11 daily major-market newspapers, the
Global television network and canada.com, its online partner. CNS provides journalists
with significant opportunities in a dynamic, competitive news environment.

in more than one news platform. A background in other regions in Canada is an asset.
CNS interns will do a mix of editing and reporting for newspapers, online and broadcast
clients. CNS offers opportunities to work on its news, business, sports, arts, online and
photo desks.

These paid positions, which run from mid-May to the end of August, are open to current
students or recent graduates.

Shiftwork, including nights, overnights, and weekends, is required.
