subsidiary, State Street Bank and Trust Company, State Street Corporation, provides a range of products and services for

the world. In this segment, SSC also covers securities finance; deposits and short term investment; product- and
participant-level accounting; loans and leasing; master trust and master custody. The company provides accounting
software; foreign exchange, brokerage and other trading services; accounting valuations services; capital and funding
services; and performance and analytics services.

Under the Investment Management segment, the company offers a wide range of asset management services including
investment management, investment research service for primarily for institutional investors worldwide. These services
include passive and active US and non-US equity and fixed income, securities finance and money market products and
services. The company’s investment management division, State Street Global Advisors, SSgA, acts as an investment
advisor to investment companies. SSgA provides investment strategies for customers of every size and investment
objective. It also offers integrated solutions and trading services to customers who wish to outsource aspects of their
investment programs.

The company provides research and trading in foreign exchange, fixed income, derivatives and money market products
for assets managers through its Investment Research and Trading division.

In October 2009, State Street launched new services to Hedge Fund Administration Suite.
