Nisshinbo Holdings, Inc. (Nisshinbo) is a manufacturer and distributor of cotton thread, friction materials, synthetic paper,
fine paper, tissue paper and toilet paper. It also offers mechatronics products, label printing, carbon-related materials, fuel
cell parts, reagents, instruments and equipment for biotechnology. As of September 2010, Nisshinbo had 12,643
employees.

The company operates its business through eight segments, namely, Textiles, Papers, Automobile Brakes, Precision
Instruments, Chemicals, Electronics, Real Estate and Others. Through the Textiles segment, the company manufactures
fibers and textiles. It is one of the world’s top-class textile makers, integrating all operations, from the development to the
production, in the spinning, weaving, knitting, sewing and finishing fields. Its range of products includes textile fabrics,
shirts, denim, oikis, textile material and mobilon. It is also engaged in various businesses, which includes shirt fabrics,
denim, uniforms, casual wear, home-furnishing textiles, knitwear, yarns, spandex and non-woven fabrics. The segment
contributed 29.7% towards the company’s total revenue for the year ended March 31, 2010.

The Paper segment of the company offers household paper products, such as tissue paper and toilet paper, as well as
fine paper and synthetic paper. The company offers Cotton Feel, a paper product containing cotton, as well as the first
highly porous toilet paper for the household. It offers fine paper, with different colors, textures and patterns suitable for
printing. The segment contributed 10.3% towards the company’s total revenue for the year ended March 31, 2010.

Under Automobile Brake segment, Nisshinbo develops, manufactures, processes, sells, imports, and exports friction
materials, brakes, and brake assemblies. These products are used for automobiles and transportation machine
instruments. The segment contributed 18.1% towards the company’s total revenue for the year ended March 31, 2010.

The company's Precision Instruments segment offers general-purpose machines, represented by sheet metal processing
machines, photovoltaic module manufacturing equipment and various customized machines for the automobile industry. It
is engaged in the development and sale of welding machinery, and specialized machines for manufacturing aircraft and
automobiles. The segment contributed 11.4% towards the company’s total revenue for the year ended March 31, 2010.

Nisshinbo through its Chemical segment involves in the development, manufacture, processing, trading, and import/export
of inorganic chemical industrial products, organic chemical industrial products, medical products, and other industrial
chemical medical products. It is also engaged in construction and civil engineering design, implementation, and
management. The segment offers bipolar plates for fuel cells, vitreous carbon and rigid polyurethane foams, thermoplastic
polyurethane elastomer, carbodilite and high-performance chemical products. The segment contributed 7% towards the
company’s total revenue for the year ended March 31, 2010.

The company's Electronics segment offers microwave products and applications, semiconductor devices, radio
communication equipment, medical electronic systems, electronic devices and telecommunications. It also develops new
products for the audiovisual equipment, industrial and medical equipment and information and telecommunication. The
segment contributed 16.5% towards the company’s total revenue for the year ended March 31, 2010.

The Real Estate segment of the company leases buildings and shopping centers as well as involves in sales. The real
estate business promotes the reuse of unused property and plants, the lease of offices and business facilities and the sale
of building lots held by the company. It makes use of its unused property, for various purposes including, shopping
centers, sports/leisure facilities, offices and nursing, model and residential homes across Japan. The segment contributed
1.7% towards the company’s total revenue for the year ended March 31, 2010.

The company through its Others segment is engaged in the wholesale of food and the provision of environmental
research services. The segment contributed 5.3% towards the company’s total revenue for the year ended March 31,
2010.

Geographically, its operations are spanned across three regions, namely Japan, Asia and other regions. During the fiscal
year ended March 31, 2010. The company generated 84.1% of its net sales from Japan, 11.3% from Asia and 4.6% from
