host of services across different sectors. The company's services include importing and exporting, offshore trading and
transactions in the Japanese market, related to food, textiles, materials, pulp and paper, chemicals, energy, metals and
mineral resources, iron and steel products, and transportation machinery. The company also provides these services to

finance, logistics and information. Marubeni is operating through 22 overseas corporate subsidiaries with 115 offices
across 70 countries. It is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan.

Marubeni Corporation - Business Description

Marubeni is a Japanese trading group. The group is operating business under 12 different divisions. The group’s
international operations present in 55 overseas branches and offices. It also operates through 32 overseas corporate
subsidiaries with 63 offices for a total of 118 offices in 71 countries.

The group’s overseas subsidiaries includes Marubeni America Corporation, Marubeni Canada Ltd., Marubeni Venezuela
C.A., Marubeni Argentina S.A., Marubeni Nigeria Ltd., Marubeni Saudi Arabia Company., Ltd., Marubeni Iran Company.,
Ltd., Marubeni New Zealand Ltd., Marubeni Philippines Corporation, P.T. Marubeni Indonesia and Marubeni Thailand
Company., Ltd.

The group operates 12 business divisions including Food, Lifestyle, Forest Products, Chemicals, Energy, Metals and
Mineral Resources, Transportation Machinery, Power Project & Infrastructure, Plant, Ship & Industrial Machinery Division,
Plant, Ship & Industrial Machinery Division, Real Estate Development Division, Finance, Logistics & IT Business Division
and Iron & Steel Strategies and Coordination Department.

The Food Division is engaged in producing, selling and distributing food products such as food products, wheat, corn and
soybeans, coffee beans, rice and frozen and chilled food. Further, the company is also offering other services through this
division.

The Lifestyle Division or the textile was established in 2008. It is involved in business of consumer goods, such as
apparel, footwear, home furnishings, textile-related items and tires, as well as durable goods, including office and fitness
equipment. The division handles various activities, along the value chain, from procurement of raw materials for
distribution of final products.

The Forest Products Division is focusing on its upstream a forestation operations, its midstream manufacturing and
distribution operations as well as downstream, its new business development activities.

The Chemicals Division operates businesses in chemicals and related sectors including petrochemical feedstock, plastics,
electronic materials, specialty chemicals, inorganic chemicals, agrochemicals, and biotech and vinyl alkali. The segment's
operations in China include electric materials, basic chemicals and resin industries. The Middle East and South Asia are
the main concern regions for petrochemicals operations. Further, it is also looking forward to participate in technology-
oriented business in automobile-related fields.

The Energy Division is participating in exploration and production of oil and natural gas. This division also has operations
in trading, marketing and retail businesses of petroleum products, crude oil, liquid natural gas, liquid petroleum gas,
nuclear fuel and equipment for nuclear power plants. This Energy division also offers services related to nuclear fuel
cycle. The Energy division is subdivided into Energy Division -1 and Energy Division -2.

Marubeni focuses on Japan and some European markets for the sale LNG. It is also present in Middle-Eastern countries
such as U.A.E, Yemen, Jordan and Qatar. In Qatar, Marubeni holds 7.5% stake in the Qatar Liquefied Gas Company
Limited or Qatargas 1, which is owned by Qatar Petroleum (65%), along with joint venture participants Total (10%),
ExxonMobil (10%), and Mitsui (7.5%). In addition, Marubeni had also carried out various power lines and substations
installation projects for the Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa) in Qatar.

The Metals & Mineral Resources Division business activities include mine development and smelting projects, electronic
materials and recycling, as well as new energy and other businesses.

The Transportation Machinery Division secured Japanese airline for Brazil-made jet aircraft. In addition, it also acquired a
car dealership and an auto parts distributor in the US and Australia. This is also involved in purchasing construction and
agricultural machinery importers and distributors in Asia and the US and also presents in delivering and securing orders
for automotive production systems in China and India.

he group’s Power Projects & Infrastructure Division or the development and construction department is engaged in the
construction and supply of power stations, transmission lines and sub-stations for overseas power projects.
