Hubbell Incorporated (Hubbell) is an international manufacturer of quality electrical and electronic products for a broad
range of non-residential and residential construction, industrial and utility applications. It is engaged in designing,
manufacturing and sale of electrical and electronic products for a range of non-residential and residential construction,
industrial and utility applications. Its manufacturing facilities are based in the US, Canada, Switzerland, Puerto Rico,
Mexico, the People's Republic of China, Italy, the UK, Brazil and Australia. In addition, the company has sales offices in
Singapore, the People's Republic of China, Mexico, South Korea, and the Middle East as well as participates in joint
ventures in Taiwan and Hong Kong. As of September 2010, Hubbell had 12,700 employees.

The company’s operations are organized into two segments, namely, Electrical segment, and Power Segment. The
Electrical Segment of Hubbell is further classified into two divisions, namely Electrical Systems and Lighting. Its Electrical
Systems division comprises of wiring and electrical products. Its wiring products includes pin and sleeve devices, delivery
systems, disconnect switches, cable management, ground fault devices, connectors, and cord reels. These products are
sold to industrial, non-residential, utility and residential markets under various trademarks, including Hubbell, Kellems,
Bryant, Burndy, Wejtap, Hydent, Servit, Hyground, Burndyweld, and Circuit Guard. In addition, Hubbell manufactures
TVSS (transient voltage surge suppression) devices, under the Spikeshield trademark that are designed to protect
electronic equipment such as personal computers and other supersensitive electronic equipment. Furthermore, it
designed components for use in local and wide area networks and other telecommunications applications that support
high-speed data and voice signals. Various electrical products offered by the company includes switch and outlet boxes,
conduit fittings, harsh and hazardous, enclosures, compression fittings, and high voltage test and measurement
equipment. These products are offered under number of brand names, including Killark, Disconex, HostileLite, Hawke,
GAI-Tronics, FEMCO, DAC, and Elemec asa well as Hipotronics, Raco, Bell, weigmann, Haefely and Tettex.


The company through its Lighting division manufactures and sells lighting fixtures and controls for indoor and outdoor
applications within three categories, namely Commercial/Institutional and Industrial Outdoor, Commercial/Institutional and
Industrial Indoor, and Residential. It’s Commercial/Institutional and Industrial Outdoor products are sold under Kim
Lighting, Security, Spaulding, Whiteway, Sportsliter, Sterner, Devine, and Lightscaper brand names and trademarks.
Various commercial/Institutional and Industrial Indoor products are offered under various brand names and trademarks,
including the Alera, Columbia Lighting, Precision Lighting, Paragon Lighting, Kurt Versen, Prescolite, Dual-Lite, Compass‚
Products, Hubbell Industrial Lighting, Chalmit, Victor, and Killark. Residential products of the company are sold under the
Progress Lighting, Everlume, HomeStyleTM Lighting, and Thomasville Lighting tradenames. During the fiscal year 2009,
the segment contributed 70% towards the company’s total revenues.


Under the Power Segment, the company designs and manufactures a variety of transmission, distribution, substation and
telecommunications products. These products are used by the utility industry, civil construction and transportation
industries. Its electrical transmission and distribution products are sold under several major brands which include Ohio
Brass, Chance, Anderson, Fargo, Hubbell, Polycast, Quazite, and PCORE. Its range of products are sold to distributors
and directly to users including electric utilities, mining operations, industrial firms, construction, engineering firms, mining
operations, construction and engineering firms. During the fiscal year 2009, the segment contributed 30% towards the
company’s total revenues.

Geographically, the company reports its business in two regions, namely, United States, and the International. During the
