Worldwide and Havas Media. The company operates its business through a number of independent agencies such as
Arnold Worldwide Partners. Havas has its presence in more than 100 countries through its network of agencies and
contractual affiliations. The company is headquartered in Paris, France.


Financial Performance

The company reported revenues of EUR 1,441 million during the fiscal year ended December 2009, a decrease of 8.1 %
over 2008. The operating profit of the company was EUR 150 million during the fiscal year 2009, a decrease of 20.63 %

Havas is a global leading advertising and communications services group. The company provides advertising and
marketing services as well as media expertise and media buying to the worldwide customers. The company has its
presence in more than 100 countries across the North America, Latin America, and Asia Pacific regions through its
contractual affiliations and agencies.

Havas operates its business through two divisions namely Havas Worldwide and Havas Media. Havas Media division
comprises MPG, Havas Sports & Entertainment, Arena and Havas Digital networks.

Havas Worldwide includes the Euro RSCG Worldwide network and a number of agencies such as Arnold in the US and
Italy, H and W in France and Palm+Havas in Canada. The Euro RSCG Worldwide division is one of the leading integrated
marketing communications agencies in the world. This division operates through 233 offices located in 75 countries
across the Europe, North America, Latin America, Asia Pacific, and Middle East regions. This division provides
advertising, marketing, and communication services, worldwide. This division provides its services to 81 of the 100 largest
global advertisers such as Air France, Kraft Foods, BNP Paribas, Charles Schwab, Danone Group, ExxonMobil and
Pfizer. Arnold Worldwide delivers strategy, creativity and integration to the company’s clients such as Ocean Spray,
Brown-Forman, Carnival Cruise Lines, Volvo, Hershey’s and Fidelity. The company’s agency, H serves several clients
such as Citroen, RTL, transavia.com, Go sport, Scad, Bocage, Acadomia, Darty, Krys, Marques Avenue and De Dietrich.
The company’s agency, W&Cie has expertise in the areas related to brand strategy, communication and digital
implementation. Its client portfolio comprises Aeroports de Paris, Sodexo, Credit Agricole, GDF SUEZ, AXA, BIC, Casino,
Michelin and Peugeot. During the fiscal year 2009, the Havas Worldwide division accounted for 69% share of the total
revenues of the company.

The Havas Media division is one of the fastest growing media networks in the world. Service portfolio of the division
comprises media planning and buying, market research and efficiency measurement, strategic communication
development, and online advertising. The Havas Media division operates through MPG, Arena Media, Havas Digital and
Havas Sports & Entertainment. During the fiscal year 2009, the Havas Media division contributed 31% towards the total
revenues of the company.

Earlier, the company operated its business through three reportable business divisions, namely, Euro RSCG Worldwide
division, Arnold Worldwide division, and Havas Media division. In March 2009, the company re-organized its business
operations into two major divisions, namely, Euro RSCG Worldwide division, and Havas Media division.

Geographically, the company operates through six segments, namely France, Europe excluding France and UK, UK,
North America, Asia-Pacific and Latin America. During the fiscal year 2009, France segment contributed 23% towards the
total revenues of the company, whereas Europe excluding France and UK, North America, Asia-Pacific and Latin America
segments contributed 23%, 11%, 32%, 5% and 6%, respectively.

Recently, the company created a new country committee in Italy to coordinate its Italian business. Its Havas Worldwide
introduced Havas Design+ global design and brand network, which the company introduced across world's ten major
cities, namely, Dubai, New York, London, Lisbon, Paris, Madrid, Sao Paulo, Mumbai, Dûsseldorf and Prague.
