feminine hygiene. Fiberweb manages its production operations through a network of sixteen plants in eight countries
across North America, Europe, and Asia. The company is headquartered in Richmond, London in the UK.


Financial Performance

Fiberweb is focused on the production of non-woven materials utilized in hygiene and industrial speciality products. It
supplies high performance, speciality non-woven fabrics. The company operates in two reportable segments, namely,
Industrial and Hygiene.

The Industrial segment of the company provides a wide range of non-woven products for the highly fragmented industrial
market. It provides superior quality products for fabric softener sheets and graphic arts. The principal products of this
segment include housewrap, filtration, roofing typar, fabric softener sheets, geosynthetics, industrial wipes, and landscape
and industrial specialties. During the fiscal year 2009, the company reported revenues of GBP 271.5 million, a decrease
of 16.5% over 2008, from the Industrial segment.

The company’s Hygiene segment offers non-woven fabric solutions for baby and adult care, feminine hygiene, consumer
wipes, medical and protective apparel markets. It offers fabric technologies to the medical market through its product
families Celestra, Softex, Novonette, Webril, Dreamex, and Flexilon. These products provide benefits such as special
softness, strength, absorption and pure cotton fiber content. The medical applications of the company include Nurses
Caps, Shoe Covers, Scrub Suits, Lab Coats, and Isolation Gowns. For the fiscal year ended 2009, the company recorded
revenues of GBP 182.7 million, a decrease of 2.6% over 2008, from the Hygiene segment.

Fiberweb’s Hygiene business offers its products to major consumer goods companies worldwide. These products are
produced with the help of three principal methods namely, spunbond, airlaid and spunlace. The company operates with
manufacturing facilities in the US, Mexico, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and China.

The company manufactures a complete range of modern non-woven products. The product range starts from spunbond,
meltblown, hydro-entangled, airlaid and carded non-wovens, to sophisticated multi-denier fabrics and complex laminates
and composites. Fiberweb is considered to be a technological innovator with a strong collection of intellectual property
and as a preferred partner for customers focused on high quality and reliable supply.

The Research and Development division of the company has its research centers in Nashville and Simpsonville in the US
and Peine in Germany.

The company carries out its operations through six geographical segments namely, the UK, the US, Sweden, Germany,
Italy, and Others. During the fiscal year 2009, the company reported revenues of GBP 18.2 million from the UK segment,
GBP 170.2 million from the US segment, GBP 48 million from Sweden, GBP 77.9 million from Germany, GBP 67.4 million
from Italy, and GBP 72.5 million from Other countries.

Recently, the company’s DEFENCELL Engineered Protection System was used to assist in the reconstruction of critical
infrastructure as part of the relief efforts across Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Further, the company formed a 26% interest joint
venture in India through which it started the construction of a geotextiles plant.
