CF Industries Holdings, Inc. (CF Industries) is a holding company with major interests in the field of fertilizer based
businesses. The company through its major operating subsidiary, CF Industries, Inc. is engaged in the manufacturing and
distribution of nitrogen and phosphate fertilizer products to agricultural and industrial customers. Its products include
ammonia, urea, urea ammonium nitrate solution (UAN), diammonium phosphate (DAP), monoammonium phosphate
(MAP) and granular muriate of potash (potash). The company operates seven nitrogen fertilizer manufacturing complexes
in the central US and Canada; and conducts phosphate mining and production operations in Central Florida. It also
exports nitrogen and phosphate fertilizer products from its Florida and Louisiana manufacturing facilities. In addition, CF
Industries owns 50% interests in GrowHow UK Limited, a fertilizer manufacturer in the UK; an ammonia facility in The
Republic of Trinidad and Tobago; and KEYTRADE AG, a global fertilizer trading organization situated near Zurich,
Switzerland. The company is headquartered in Deerfield, Illinois, US.

CF Industries Holdings, Inc. (CF Industries) is one of the world’s largest producers of fertilizers, nitrogen fertilizers and
phosphate fertilizers. The company’s product portfolio comprises ammonia, urea, urea ammonium nitrate solution (UAN),
diammonium phosphate (DAP), granular muriate of potash and monoammonium phosphate (MAP). It employs 1,500
people.

The company has classified its operations under two segments, namely, Nitrogen and Phosphate.

CF Industries' Nitrogen segment is one of North America’s leading nitrogen fertilizer producers. Its principal nitrogen
fertilizer products include urea, ammonia and UAN. The company operates world-scale nitrogen fertilizer production units
in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada; and Donaldsonville, Louisiana, the US. It owns the Donaldsonville nitrogen fertilizer
complex and also has a 66% economic interest in a Canadian joint venture, Canadian Fertilizer Limited (CFL) that owns
the Medicine Hat nitrogen fertilizer complex. In the fiscal year 2009, the pooled production capacity of these two facilities
accounted about 20% of North American ammonia capacity, 33% of North American dry urea capacity and 18% of North
American UAN capacity. The Donaldsonville nitrogen fertilizer complex has four ammonia plants, four urea plants and two
UAN plants. This complex has the annual capacity to produce about 2.3 million tons of ammonia, 2.6 million tons of liquid
urea and 2.8 million tons of UAN. Medicine Hat nitrogen fertilizer complex has two ammonia plants with a combined gross
annual production capacity of about 1.3 million tons; and a urea plant with a gross annual production capacity of 810,000
tons. During the year 2009, this segment contributed 70.5% to the company’s total net sales.

The company through its Phosphate segment produces phosphate fertilizer products including DAP and MAP. CF
Industries’ phosphate fertilizer manufacturing operations are organized in Central Florida, including phosphate fertilizer
chemical complex in Plant City, a deepwater terminal facility in the port of Tampa, a phosphate rock mine, a beneficiation
plant and phosphate rock reserves in Hardee County. During the year 2009, this segment contributed 29.5% to the
company’s total net sales.

The company operates phosphate mining and production operations in Central Florida; nitrogen fertilizer manufacturing
complexes in central US and Canada; and a network of fertilizer distribution terminals, warehouses associated
transportation equipment located principally in the Midwestern US.

Further, it also owns 50% interests in an ammonia facility in The Republic of Trinidad and Tobago; GrowHow UK Limited,
a fertilizer manufacturer in the UK; and KEYTRADE AG, a global fertilizer trading organization headquartered near Zurich,
Switzerland.

During the year 2009, the company generated 77.81% of its total net sales from the US region and 10.04% from Canada
region. The remaining 12.14% of its total net sales from Export sales.

Recently, the company acquired Terra Industries Inc. and positioned itself as a nitrogen bellwether in the global fertilizer
industry and the premier nitrogen and phosphate fertilizer producer in North America.
