Gungahlin Lakes Golf Club is the ideal venue for Weddings.
Our function rooms will cater for a small intimate Wedding reception, or a Wedding
Reception of up to 90 guests.
Professionally trained staff will provide extensive personal service and advice to
ensure the smooth running of your function. Our chefs are well regarded and are able
to create an extensive range of menus tailored to suit all tastes and budgets.
Variations with your individual touch are available on request.

The Gungahlin Lakes Package is based on a minimum of 40 Guests
The Menu
You may select from the menus available or discuss special requirements with our
Functions Manager.
Once deciding on your menu package, please select two choices from each of the courses
available within the package. All meals are served on a 50/50 basis.
Meals are served with freshly baked bread rolls, seasonal vegetables, coffee, tea and after
dinner mints.
Should any of your guests have special dietary requirements, we are happy to cater for them.
At the Ainslie Function Centre, we would be pleased to assist you with your menu selections.
We ask that the menu be finalised one (1) month prior to your function.
All menus are based on a minimum of 80 guests.

BEVERAGES
If you choose not to take advantage of our beverage packages another
option is to have a “Dry Till”.
DRY TILL
A “Dry Till” is the suggested method where beverages of your choice are
charged on “Consumption Basis” up to your specified limit. Depending on
your requirements and budget, the limit on the dry till is discussed with
you. It is entirely up to your discretion as to what drinks are permitted to
be charged on the Dry Till and the amount to be allocated.
Most guests decide to include beer, wine, soft drink, juice and sparkling
wine on the Dry Till and spirits are paid for separately by the individual
guests. Or you may choose to have spirits available on the Dry Till for
specific guests only.
Please note table service is not included in your function package.

GENERAL INFORMATION AND POLICIES
MEMBERSHIP
It is a requirement that the Function Organizer is a financial member of Gungahlin
Lakes Golf Club.
MENU SELECTION
We would be pleased to assist you in your choice of menu and we ask that menu
selection be finalised one (1) month prior to the function.
GUARANTEED NUMBERS
To ensure maximum efficiency in the preparation and execution of your function, we
request your guarantee of the maximum numbers attending to be supplied to us four
(4) working days prior to the function taking place, and charges will be made
accordingly. An agreed minimum applies for all
SLIPPAGE
Any decrease in catering numbers excess of 10% less than 14 working days prior to
the event will incur a slippage charge. The portion of loss will be calculated and
charged at 30% of the menu price.
PAYMENT ADVICE
Payment of food component must be paid on confirmation of final numbers (4)
working days prior to the function. Balance of beverage component (if applicable) is
required on the night of the function.
CONFIRMATION OF BOOKING
A deposit of $500 must be paid within 14 working days of the original reservation for
all functions, otherwise Management reserves the right to cancel the booking without
notice and allocate the venue to another member or client. A reservation is only to be
considered confirmed when the deposit has been received and correspondence signed by
Management has been issued. Such correspondence will also contain the relevant
function details and special conditions, if any. Prior to formal confirmation being
issued, all discussions between Club staff and members and general correspondence
relating thereto are considered tentative irrespective of the deposit being paid.

Please Note: Staging not included in Room Hire Fee. Staging costs $20.00 per 2m x
3m piece. Subject to Availability.
CANCELLATION
By the Member or Client
• Written notice of 90 days or more Full refund
• Written notice of 60 to 90 days 50% deposit
• Written notice of 59 days or less No refund
By the Club
• Written notice without reason of 30 days Full refund
• Written notice under 30 days where the client alters the confirmed function details
or an emergency beyond the control of the Club at the Clubs discretion.
FUNCTION ROOM RESERVATIONS AND POSSIBLE CHANGES
Should the number of guests attending your function alter, we retain the right to
hold the function in another suitable room.
PRICE VARIATION
While we will endeavor to maintain all prices as printed, to meet rising costs they
may be subject to increases at our discretion. Any changes will be advised.
LOSS OR DAMAGE
As the function organiser, you or your organisation will be held financially
responsible for any damage or loss suffered by the Club during your function. The
Club holds no responsibility for items brought into the Club by clients or other
patrons. This includes anything hired in by yourself or the club, ie Chair covers,
centerpieces.
EQUIPMENT
All equipment brought into Gungahlin Lakes requires our permission. It is an express
condition that Gungahlin Lakes Golf Club reserves the right to supply all audio
visual and lighting equipment that may be required for use at your function.
FOOD AND BEVERAGE
No food or beverage of any kind is permitted to be brought into the Club by the
member or any of the members or guests, except by special arrangement agreed, in
writing, by Management. All food and beverage prices are subject to change.
PAYMENT
Payment is to be made in the week prior to the function unless alternative
arrangements have been made with Management.
SURCHARGE
A surcharge of 20% applies on food, beverage and room hire on Sundays and public
holidays. Any Function exceeding the booked time or going past midnight will incur
a fee of $100 per hour.
CLEANING
General cleaning is included in the room hire charge. Use of confetti and/or rice in
Gungahlin Lakes Golf Club and surrounding Club grounds, is strictly forbidden
and will incur additional cleaning costs. Nothing is to be nailed or taped to any of
the wooden facers or fixed walls. It is the responsibility of the organizer to ensure that
any decorations put up must be removed at conclusion of function. Any items that
have not been collected within 7 working days will be disposed of by the club.
INSURANCE
It is advisable for organisers to arrange their own insurance cover for property damage
and public liability where appropriate.
ENTERTAINMENT
Entertainment can be organised and we are happy to coordinate this on your behalf or
alternatively, you are more than welcome to organise your own.
RESPONSIBLE SERVICE OF ALCOHOL
Responsible service of alcohol policies are adhered to at all times. The management
and staff of the club reserves the right to refuse service of liquor to any person as they
see fit.
FIRE AND SAFETY
Dry Ice, Smoke and Fog machines or anything similar are not permitted to be used in
The Function Centre.
CAKEAGE
A Cakeage fee of $2.50pp applies if you require us to cut and serve your wedding cake
as dessert.
