Post-Production (video)

I have worked on several post-production projects including;

         Half Life 2 – A 3 minute 35 second long video given to me in my first year, with no audio at
         all, my job was to add all sound effects, foley, background noises and music.

         How Life Happens – A 10 minute short film about a young boy living in Manchester, given to
         me as a 2nd year project, In this task I learnt a lot about post production and was awarded an
         ‘A’ grade by my tutor Norbert Weiher.

Audio Recording

In my time as an audio engineer I have recorded the likes of;

         Killing The Tyrant – A local band from Bolton, I recorded them using a DS-00 in the DiGiCo
         studio at The School of Sound Recording, Manchester

         Jack Knife Holiday – Another Bolton based band I recorded whilst on my work experience at
         Cake House Studios.

         Houston We Have A Problem - Another Bolton based band I recorded whilst on my work
         experience at Cake House Studios.

         Adam Chapman – A talented young acoustic act from the north of England. I recorded him
         twice in my first year of university and once in my second both in the Ghost studios at The
         School of Sound Recording, Manchester.

         The Adam Chapman band – I recorded the Adam Chapman band in my second year as part
         of a module for university, they were recorded at The School of Sound Recording in the
         Ghost studio 2.

         Last Chance - I recorded Last Chance in my second year as part of a module for university, in
         which I had to record and mix a song. They were recorded at The School of Sound Recording
         in the Einstein/Control 24 Rooms.

         Menace – I recorded vocals for a northern rapper named Menace in my first year at the
         School of Sound Recording.

Mixing

         Failsafe – I was granted access to a track off there soon-to-be released album and given a
         chance to mix it down.

         Last Chance – For my second year assessment; “Advanced Studio Techniques” I was required
         to record and mix a song from a band, the final result turned out excellent.

         Adam Chapman – I have mixed all this artists tracks for him, including ones recorded by
         other people, he is a real talent to work with and this is shown within my mixes.
