Java Certificates
If you are logging on for the first you will be asked to accept a Java certificate if you
receive this certificate please place a tick in the box to the left of “Always trust content
from this publisher.” And click “Run” you should never see this certificate again.
Browser Check

The Mole system also has a browser check which will run
automatically. If there are any problems a box will appear with red
writing explaining that there is a problem. The problem will be
highlighted by a Red Cross. If there is no problem then the box
will not appear. You can run a check manually by clicking on the
Check browser link in the MOLE home page. Below is a screen

Pop Up Blockers:
Most browsers have now incorporated a pop up blocker into their
application. But other companies such as Google and Yahoo also incorporate
them in their toolbars. Obviously we cannot give a link to them all be here

Java
One of the most common problems we see is related to the incorrect version
of Java. This is generally due to Java updating itself.

MOLE requires Java 1.5.06 to 1.5.11

MOLE does NOT work with Java 1.6.x

How to install Java:

       Go to http://java.sun.com/products/archive/j2se/5.0_06/index.html

and click on the second one down - 'JRE'

Then on the next page Accept the license agreement and click on

       'Windows Offline Installation, Multi-language'

Once downloaded click on the file and it will install on your PC.

How to downgrade Java:
       To do this

       Go to the Control Panel

       Click on Add/Remove Programs

Find the Java versions other than 1.5_06 and uninstall them

Generally your system will not need to be restarted
