This is what you can look forward to when you board the plane with us:
Thursday 31 March
Assemble late morning at Johannesburg International before boarding our flight to Phuket.

Friday 1 April:
On arrival on Phuket, we are transferred by air-conditioned coach to our 4-star resort hotel, our
base for the next eight nights on a bed and buffet breakfast basis. Guests have the choice of
the comfortable Garden Wing rooms or the luxurious Spa Wing rooms. The hotel also has two
swimming pools with sun tanning in a tropical garden atmosphere and even a “swim-up” bar.
After unpacking and freshening up, we head out for an orientation walk and dinner at a
beachfront restaurant.

Our hotel’s pool Chilling at the beach

Saturday 2 April:
Today has been kept as a day at leisure to allow everyone to settle in, get rid of any jet lag and
to start getting the “island” feeling.

Sunday 3 April:
This morning it is time to finally play golf here in the “land of smiles” and the ideal choice for
your “warm-up” round is the beautiful Loch Palm course which provides a fitting challenge to
start the week. Nestling below a panoramic range of peaks, the palm-lined course follows the
banks of the 48 acre Crystal Lake.

There’s always a challenge on Thai courses Caddies on hand to take care of you

While the golfers are facing the challenges of the golf course, the non-golfers will be found
experiencing the wonders of the island, shopping at markets where bargains are the word or
visiting the world-renowned jewellery factory. After golf, there is time to relax beside the pools
at our hotel before heading out for dinner at one of Phuket’s fine Thai or international
restaurants, followed by a stroll through the stalls in the night market.
                                                                                                   3
Monday 4 April:
Today’s golf is on the award-winning LAGUNA golf course...which winds between scenic tropical
lagoons and forests with magnificent backdrops of the sea and mountains. While not a links
course, many of the fairways and greens lie meters from the beach and surf. A truly
magnificent setting for a wonderful course…even Tiger Woods has a villa there!

Water, palms and Phuket beauty Forests, lakes and the ocean

Tuesday 5 April:
Today is a break from golf and you have the opportunity to choose from the many attractions
and outings offered in and around Phuket. Always popular is the day outing to Phi Phi
Island…where some of the world’s most beautiful scenery awaits you. Or go elephant trekking
up a river, take a taxi to explore the small fishing villages along the coast, try deep-sea fishing,
spend the day in the bazaars and markets or simply relax and spend the day soaking up the
sun and enjoying the local scenery and cuisine. Whatever you choose, it will be the perfect day
to recharge batteries. And for those who want to play golf, Phuket’s many courses await you.

Exploring the islands “The Beach” film location
Snorkelling off Phi Phi A day outing never to be forgotten 4
Wednesday 6 April:
The majestic Phuket Country Club, ranked the 5th best course in Thailand, awaits this
morning. The magnificent course is set in a valley and meanders between hills and cliffs with a
vast palm-lined lake adding to the challenge.

Phuket CC: tropical beauty Blue sky and palm trees at Phuket CC

Thursday 7 April:
The biggest challenge of the week will be the Lakes Course sister course to the Canyon course
and with a lot more water! In fact, Lakes has water hazards coming into play on 17 out of 18 holes.
Its front 9 holes run through a landscape of lakes and original canyons, whilst the back 9 weaves
around more scenic lakes and rubber trees. Hole 18 is also regarded as one of Asia's best 5
finishing holes. After the day’s round, prizegiving for the week will be held in the clubhouse and
then it is time to let the hair down and party into the night along the beachfront.

World class facilities at Blue Canyon Water and bunkers galore at LAKES
Friday 8 April:
Our flight home only departs this evening, so the day is free for a round of golf, bargain
hunting and shopping, exploring the Phuket coastline, chilling beside a pool or relaxing at a
beachfront bar. Those members of the group who opt to breakaway to other centres in
Thailand, including Bangkok and Chiang Mai will leave the group at this stage.
                                    One last Phuket sunset 5
