In last week’s lesson we discussed I Corinthians 12:1, the Apostle Paul laying the foundation for spiritual gifts and how he instructed the New Testament Church. We dealt with, how to identify your spiritual gift? Operating your gift and Godly timing. We then took a closer look at the nine gifts of the spirit, Word of Wisdom, Word of Knowledge, Faith, Healing, Working of Miracles, Prophecy, Discerning of Spirits, Divers Tongues and Interpretation of Tongues.
We compared the three chapters, I Corinthians 12, 13 and 14. We dealt with spiritual gifts, love and the operation of those gifts. We listed 20 things that will block you from ministry. Let’s take a look at them now!

This message closed out with reiterating the lesson from Tuesday, February 29th Time, Season and Turn. I shared with you the art of being Set, Settled, Seasoned to Soar and then we added another “S” Sanctified. In our lesson tonight we will deal with the armour of God. In Ephesians 6:10, it states 10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Our lesson tonight will focus exclusively on the shield of faith. Shield An article of protective armor made of leather, metal or wood, carried on the forearm to ward off blows or missiles. 2. A means of defense; protection. A shield is one that protects, guards, one that stands in, pierces the fiery darts. Belief that does not rest on logical proof or material evidence. 2. Belief and trust in God and in the doctrines expressed in the scriptures or other sacred works; religious conviction.

Faith

Never forget when preparing to use your spiritual gifts that there is an unseen force at all times working against you in the spirit world piercing the natural realm. Power principle # 4 Satan sends natural occurrences to frustrate you spiritually to get you to abort your spiritual destiny. This point is extremely, extremely important, you can always date your spiritual frustration back to a natural occurrence, something that physically happened in the natural that probably could be handled with an explanation, an apology or a dismissal of the individual who is bringing the discomfort to you. Something physical could stop this, but yet it frustrates you to the point where it forces you to lose your focus and abort your spiritual destiny. It is clear from the scripture that the helmet of salvation does two things, it saves one’s soul and protects one’s mind – so it saves the mind. A commercial some years ago said that “A mind is a terrible thing to waste” and I agree with that statement and I use it as a spiritual principle. The bible says “Let this mind be in you which is also in Christ Jesus” Philippians 2:5. One must always remember when engaged in spiritual warfare, to be properly dressed means to be properly armed against the forces of the enemy. ote this that you are preparing to use your spiritual gift. You are now, through the natural becoming aware that you are spiritually and in many cases exceptionally gifted to do what it is you do. Remember that the gifts are operated through love. Love also helps to identify the gifts that are already active, alive

and working in you. The Apostle Paul states in chapter 13, the communication with Angels and with humans may make you an exceptional person, but profits nothing without love. The purpose of this lesson tonight is to stir up your pure mind and bring you to a place of supernatural and Godly consciousness, that as we climb to the next level the attacks will come from every area. Lord! We need intercessors now like we’ve ever needed them before. In our lesson tonight, understand that your optimism towards the things of God can place you in the stars. But your pessimism can put you under the dirt.
