Lil Wayne Released - News All the latest information on how Lil Wayne (Aka Weezy)
was released free out of jail and of his time spent in prison including the release of his
album I Am Not a Human Being.
Lil Wayne (Aka Weezy) was incarcerated and was sentenced to wait for his release
from jail for a full year, a sentence which was later reduced to 8 months due to good
behavior, for the attempted criminal possession of a weapon. During his time in prison
Lil Wayne released a full length Lp titled I Am Not A Human Being that charted at
number 2 on the billboards proving that, to his fans, Lil Wayne would always be free.
Weezy released a letter recently titled "The end of a Long Journey" in which he said
"I think back to when I first arrived and I had no clue of what I'd be experiencing. I
was never scared, worried, nor bothered by the situation. For that, I thank God, my
family, and you, my amazing fans. I prayed for you all every night, as I'm aware that I
was in your prayers as well"
On Thursday, November 4th Lil Wayne finally completed his 8 month sentence at
the Rikers Island Correctional facility and was released from prison. To celebrate his
release Weezy decided to throw a huge party at a Miami strip club. His release from
jail was delayed for unknown reasons. It is speculated that this delay may be due to an
earlier incident in which Lil Wayne had an Mp3 player and some headphones
confiscated from him as they are against prison rules.
According to Young Money president Mack Maine, "Wayne's musical family is
going to just treat him like a king, like the royalty that he is and make him feel like we
really missed him and welcome him back to the family, basically."
Speculation as to what Lil Wayne is planning on doing with his career now that he
has been released has skyrocketed. Concerning his family matters, it has been
commented that he will more than likely experience an intimate celebration with his
children. Furthermore, Drake has recently hinted that Weezy will be making a special
appearance at the Light Dreams and Nightmares tour stop in Las Vegas. Drake had
this to say about the matter:
"I would just advise you to book a ticket out there. If you can get tickets to that show
on the 6th, I would strongly advise it."
Maxime Viard, 23, and Raphael Soula, 22, were among diehard fans at Rikers.
"We'll definitely go see him in concert whenever we can," Soula said. "He said he
won't ever play in New York again because of this gun situation, but I hope he
changes his mind."
His first post-prison plan was to hop on a private jet to Yuma, Ariz., Birdman said.
There, the rapper, whose real name is Dwayne Carter, will sign papers related to a
2008 drug case. He will then start a 36-month unsupervised probation term, that will
be transferred to his home in Florida.
