PLANNING YOUR WEDDING QUESTIONNAIRE
Answer the questions according to how you’d most like to celebrate your wedding. Keep
in mind the guidelines discussed in class and in your text.
1. Where would you want to have the ceremony? Why here? Who would preside at
your wedding? Why this minister/priest?
2. What would you want your wedding ceremony to mean, and why—
a. to you as a couple
b. to the guests you invite
3. Would you want to add any words to the vow formula? Why or why not? What
would you add?
4. Which readings would you choose? Why these? Who would read? Why these
people?
5. What music/songs would you choose for your wedding (for instance, for the
entrance processional, presentation of the gifts, Communion, recessional)?
6. How would your parents, other family members and friends be involved in the
ceremony?
7. In what other ways would you want to personalize your ceremony (for example,
by including a gesture or prayer that is traditional in your culture)?
8. How would the guests you invite participate in your wedding ceremony?
9. What would be the over-all look, feel and atmosphere of your ceremony and
reception? Why?
10. Describe the wedding reception you would plan to have. Tell how you’d plan the
celebration so that it would be in keeping with your religious values and priorities.
