Re: Meeting Request – February 13, 2008

I will be in Washington, D.C. attending The National Association of Foreign-Trade
Zones (NAFTZ) 2008 Legislative/Regulatory Seminar on February 12 and 13. NAFTZ
members will be on Capitol Hill meeting with Members of Congress on February 13. I
write to request an opportunity to meet with you on Wednesday, February 13 to discuss
our own local foreign-trade zone project and the NAFTZs 2008 legislative priorities.

I also look forward to sharing with you the preliminary results of NAFTZs economic
impact study "The Economic Impact of Foreign Trade Zones on the 50 States and Puerto
Rico.” This study documents the positive impact that Foreign-Trade Zones (FTZs) have
in stimulating trade, supporting jobs, enhancing U.S. exports, and engaging local firms in
international trade. For example, the preliminary results of the report illustrate that
exports from U.S. FTZs reached $22 billion in 2005. The study demonstrates that FTZs
are building American businesses and communities through trade.

I would also like to invite you to our Congressional Reception on Capitol Hill on
Tuesday evening (February 12). We will be honoring Congressman James E. Clyburn
(D-SC) as the NAFTZs Person of the Year. We would be honored if you could join us. I
will forward the formal invitation as details are finalized.

Thank you for your consideration of this meeting request. I look forward to hearing from
you. Please fell free to contact me at: (local phone number).
