IB Africa, Europe and the Middle East
The IB is a non-profit Swiss foundation. We cover our operating and development costs by
charging fees for our services. Any surplus we make in providing these services is reinvested
back into the organization in pursuit of our mission.

Regional fees
From September 2010 to August 2011

NB: Application for authorization fees apply to all schools in the authorization process or that
become candidate before 31st December 2010.

Currency of payment:

All IB World schools in IB Africa, Europe and Middle East must pay in their assigned currency.

All other schools must pay their fees in British pounds (GBP), except schools in Switzerland
who pay in Swiss francs (CHF).

Explanatory Note to publication of 2010-2011 regional fees

As of 1st January 2011, a new authorization process will be implemented which will include
a new fee structure. The main difference between the two fee structures is that current fees
include different payments at different stages of the authorization process (Part A, Part B,
continuation and consultation fee) whilst the new one will identify an annual candidate fee
which includes all the standard services of the regional office. All schools already in the
