under NRS 7.285 for unauthorized practice of law (UPL) against nonlawyers and
paralegals. Prosecute all discipline cases involving attorneys allowing nonlawyers to
engage in UPL. General Counsel to Board of Governors and State Bar on all non-
discipline legal matters. Regular speaker at State Bar CLE seminars on Rules of
Professional Conduct and supervising paralegals and nonlawyer staff.

paralegals in all phases of case management, including accident investigation, witness
interviews, propounding and answering discovery in document-intensive cases, through
motion practice and trial.

Discipline: Prosecuted more than twenty (20) discipline cases involving UPL and
supervision of nonlawyer staff, including In re Discipline of Lerner, 197 P.3d 1067
(2008), obtaining Public Reprimand for improper use of nonlawyers to negotiate
personal injury cases and Supreme Court definition of the practice of law.
