BEML Limited is a pioneering Multi Business (Rail & Metro, Mining & Construction, Aerospace, Dredging
and Defence) Heavy Engineering Company with a Turnover of over Rs. 3500 Crores. For its Mining &
Construction Business Group two Business Divisions viz. Rental & Re- Manufacturing and Dealer
Management has been setup to give a thrust and cash on in the emerging business opportunities in the
Business. Accordingly, operations of the Rental and Re-Manufacturing business will be carried out at the
Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Ahmadabad, Nagpur, Delhi and Kolkata. Apart from the
above the company has a growing presence in the internationally by way of export of Equipments etc.,
through its International Business Division, Bangalore, the Company is looking for High Performing,

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION AND POST QUALIFICATION EXECUTIVE EXPERIENCE:
Rental & Re-manufacturing Business
1. Sr. Manager/ Manager (Rental Marketing)
The candidate(s) should possess a first class Degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical /
Automobile discipline with good academic record from a recognized University / Institution. Preference
will be given to candidates possessing relevant qualification in retail marketing.
The incumbent should have the prescribed post qualification executive experience largely in Rental
Marketing and will be responsible for:
    Creation of customer awareness and establishing brand equity by way of Direct Mailers, SMS &
     Cold Calls, Advertisement, Customer Meet etc.,
    Prepare Marketing Material such as brochures, Videos, etc
    Collecting and collating market leads and converting them to business opportunities
    Capture and maintain customer data base.
    Personal visits to customer site to assess old machines for buy back as for selling old machines
    Receivable management
2. Assistant Manager (Rental Operation)
The candidate(s) should possess a first class Degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical /
Automobile discipline with good academic record from a recognized University / Institution. Preference
will be given to candidates possessing relevant qualification in retail marketing.
The incumbent should have minimum five years of post qualification executive experience, Candidates
with Diploma in Engineering, Preferably in Mechanical, Automobile discipline from recognized
institution with 27 Yrs of overall Post Qualification experience, out of which 10 Years in executive cadre
and also eligible to apply.
The incumbent will be responsible for:
      Co-ordination with production division on logistics for movement of machines.
      Outsourcing required number of operators and helpers.
      Coordinating Training and skill up gradation of operators.
      Maintain expense details in the system, asset-wise.
      Crew and logistic management at various sites allocated.
      Provide information and log sheet details to accounts for billing.
      Co-ordinate submission of bills in time.
3. Service Engineer:
The candidate(s) should possess a first class Degree in Engineering preferably in Mechanical /
Automobile discipline with good academic record from a recognized University / Institution.
The incumbent should have minimum two years of post qualification executive experience, candidates
with Diploma in engineering preferably in Mechanical / automobile discipline with 22 yrs of overall
experience, out of which 5 Years in executive cadre are also eligible to apply.
The incumbent will be responsible for providing service support to the equipment.
Marketing Division
4. Manager (Dealer Management)
The candidate(s) should possess a first class Degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical /
Automobile Engineering discipline with good academic record from a recognized University / Institution.
Candidates with MBA or equivalent specialization in Marketing will be preferred.
The incumbent should have 9 yrs Post Qualification experience and should have :
    Knowledge of Dealer Management including process of selection dealers and evaluation of
       dealer’s performance.
    Selling construction equipments (Direct/ though dealers) to private customers (Contractors)
    Aptitude for sales of construction equipments to Contractor / Institutional Customers
    Commercial knowledge.
5. Engineer (Dealer Management)
The candidate(s) should possess a first class Degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical /
Automobile Engineering discipline with good academic record from a recognized University /
Institution. Candidates with MBA or equivalent specialization in Marketing will be preferred.

The incumbent should have minimum two years of post qualification executive experience in Dealer
Management segment of Engineering goods preferably Mining & Construction equipment.
International Business Division
6. Sr. Manager/ Manager (Logistics & Supply Chain)
The candidate(s) should possess a first class Degree in Engineering preferably Mechanical / Automobile
discipline with good academic record from a recognized University / Institution. Preference will be given
to candidates possessing relevant Degree / Diploma in International Business/ Exports / Logistics
Management/ Supply Chain Management.
The incumbent should have minimum 13 and 9 years of post qualification executive experience for the
post of Sr. Manager and Manager respectively. The candidate should have experience/ exposure in :
        Marketing high value industrial & allied machinery & equipment, catering to diverse sectors
         such as Mining & Construction, Defence, Rail & Metro, Aerospace and Dredger business
         domain.
        International exposure in marketing capital goods and should have dealt both sales & after
         sales service activities either on his own or through dealers.
        Post-sales engagement including operational support, maintenance and after sales-service.
GENERAL CONDITIONS
   i. Only Indian Nationals may apply.
  ii. Age, Qualification & Experience stipulated above should be as on 10.02.2011 i.e the last date of
        submission of the application.
 iii. The upper age limit indicated above is for unreserved category. Reservation and age relaxation
        for SC / ST / OBC (Non-creamy layer) will be as per the Govt. of India guide lines. However, the
        upper age limit could be relaxed up to 55 years subject to equivalent years of excess post
        qualification experience prescribed.
 iv. OBC candidates** are required to submit Other Backward Class Certificate ('Non-Creamy
        Layer'*) (Certificate in the format as applicable for appointment to posts under Government of
        India, is to be produced). OBC candidates are also required to furnish a self-undertaking that
        they belong to OBC (Non Creamy Layer) by filling and signing a self-undertaking.
         [Note: ** OBC Candidates: Candidates belonging to those Communities which are recognized
         as a backward class by the Government of India for the purpose of reservation in services as per
         orders contained in Department of Personnel and Training Office Memorandum
         No.36012/22/93-Estt.(SCT) dated 08.09.1993.
         Non- Creamy Layer : The gross annual income of parents of the candidate should not be more
         than `.4.5 lakhs in last three consecutive years in line with DOPT OM No.36033/3/2004-
         Estt.(Res) dated 14th October, 2008.']

  v.     Candidates employed in Government / Quasi-Government / PSU in addition to the ON-LINE
          application, should send a hard copy of the same through proper channel or produce NOC at
          the time of interview as on when called.
 vi.     Management reserves the right to relax age, qualification and experience as also to consider
          related qualification & experience in case of deserving/ exceptional candidates.
vii.     Exceptionally qualified and experienced candidates could be considered for higher start &
          higher emoluments.
viii.    The candidates should ensure that he/she fulfills the eligibility criteria and other norms
          mentioned in the advertisement as on the specified dates and that the particulars furnished are
          correct in all respect. In case, it is detected at any stage of the recruitment process that a
          candidate doesn’t fulfill the eligibility norms and/ or that he/ she has furnished any incorrect/
          false information or has suppressed any material/ fact(s), his/ her candidature shall stand
          automatically cancelled. If any of the above shortcoming(s) is/ are detected even after
          appointment, his/ her services are liable to be terminated without notice.
 ix.     Mere meeting the conditions of the advertisement by the candidate(s) will not automatically
          entail them to be called for Test/ Interview/ Selection & Appointment.
  x.     Management reserves the right to restrict the number of candidates.
 xi.     Candidates will have an option to answer/ reply in Hindi if so desired at the time of interview.
xii.     Candidates are required to fill in all the columns furnishing the required details correctly in the

xiii.   Intimation regarding interview etc will be sent only through e-mail.
Eligible and interested candidates (Not applicable for SC/ST/ PWDs) need to pay a fee of `.100/- by
downloading the challan available in the BEML website and by remitting the same only in State Bank of
India in the BEML Account no. 31006750220. Candidates applying for multiple positions have to make
separate payments for each of the positions.

The candidates are required to ON-LINE only which is mandatory by clicking the “Apply ON-LINE” Link
and after going through the prescribed guidelines and ensuring correctness of the data entered in the
portal / form. The last date for submission of application by on-line is 10.02.2011. Applications sent by
post/ courier etc will not be accepted and will be summarily rejected ( Except in respect of candidates
working in Government/ Quasi Government / PSU etc who are required to forward the additional print
out of the application as stated at clause - xii of the General Condition.
