The National Schools' Observatory

The National Schools' Observatory (NSO) is part of the Liverpool Telescope (LT) project. The LT
is the world's largest fully robotic telescope and has access shared between professional
astronomers and schools. Through the NSO website all teachers, even those less confident with
science, can use the telescope to inspire their pupils. Resources include special software for
exploring the observations and a large website (which supports all areas of the curriculum
from KS2 to post-16). The NSO is free to UK and Irish schools.

The Faulkes Telescope Project

This project provides access to robotic telescopes for schools and educational groups in the UK.
Students can control 2 metre telescopes in Hawaii and Australia over the internet, taking
images of the cosmos, or helping in real astronomical research. All resources provided by the
