Shrimp is one of the leading fishery commodity in Indonesia, which defeated the other fishery
products. Where is the type formerly cultivated shrimp in a shrimp species, but be not be a
superior product on the causes because susceptible to diseases caused by declining water quality
that caused the error Selian coastal zoning and management mistakes cultivation. Thus the
presence of new varieties of vannamei shrimp can be a superior product with many advantages
one of which is less susceptible to disease. The cultivation can be done simple pattern premises
premises preparing ponds, seed quality, stocking techniques, stocking density, feed management,
water quality maintenance and harvesting techniques.
In Windu Shrimp farming has decreased the amount of production that led to a decrease
in the world, especially commodities shrimp fishery in particular. With the decline in commodity
shrimp caused by easily exposed to disease and difficult management in cultivation it is
necessary to the existence of solutions on commodity shrimp.
With its presence at least to improve shrimp vannamei shrimp commodity production
decreased. Vannamei shrimp is one of the shrimp a lot of interest has many advantages because a
case is less susceptible to disease and rapid growth in the feeding is still relatively quite efficient
(Anonymous, 2005: 2).
Apart from the advantages susceptible to disease and rapid growth, vannamei shrimp can
be cultivated with the capital that is small enough if compared to other shrimp farming which has
a large capital and using advanced technologies. With a capital ratio in vannamei shrimp farming
is quite different to create business opportunities for farmers and entrepreneurs who own a small
business (Atmomarsono, 1998: 1)
In Vannamei Shrimp cultivation with simple patterns are the stages that need to be done
is stages pond preparation, stocking phase, maintenance phase, stage of harvest. In the pond
preparation stage is done by making the appropriate pond and has a strong ridge strength and
give lime after the dry for 2 days.
In the first stage of spreading performed actions and measures temperature
acclimatization acclimatization to salinity so there is no mortality in shrimp that will be
cultivated so as to make losses in the cultivation of vannamei shrimp. Therefore special attention
is needed in cultivation.
At the stage of maintenance carried out urea and TSP as much as 5% of the total pemupukkan
SetIP weeks early. Also worth noting in the quality of water used, if the quality of water in less
good cultivated needed a fresh change of water to avoid stress on the cultivated shrimp
(Nurdjana, 2005: 3).
In the harvesting stage to note the size of shrimp that will be at harvest, consumption of
adequate size. In addition, the price that will be done at the time of the transaction process so
there is no loss but obtain profits of as much as possible. Shrimp should be at harvest should be
in good health if it is not healthy because then the fish to be sold will make the price of shrimp
has declined quite dramatically.
The conclusions in this article that vannamei shrimp are shrimp that have a high
commodity in the fishery that has many advantages in cultivation that has several stages of pond
preparation, stocking phase, maintenance phase and stage of harvesting. With the creation of
this article the author realized that in making this article there is a good mistake made
intentionally or unintentionally, then it is necessary to constructive suggestions in writing this so
that it can be better.
