Winter Film Festival
“Land of the Eagle- Living on the Edge”
Effigy Mounds National Monument continues the 46 annual Winter Film Festival on Saturday, February 7 ,
with “Land of the Eagle-Living on the Edge.” Show times for the film are 10:00, 11:00 a.m., 12 noon,
1:00, 2:00, and 3:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, February 7 and 8 . There will also be a 1:00 p.m.
showing on Monday, February 9 . Admission is free.
This week will continue with another great selection from the amazing BBC series “Land of the Eagle,”
produced as part of “Atlas of the Natural World.” The exploration of the American Southwest first brought
Spanish conquistadors and then missionaries who introduced irrigation to the native Papago and Pima
tribes, greatly changing both the land and the people.
This week's artwork will be display will feature eagle posters designed by students of Waukon High School.
