Winter Film Festival
“Ancient Indian Cultures of Northern Arizona”
Effigy Mounds National Monument continues the 45 annual Winter Film Festival on Saturday, January 19 , with “Ancient Indian Cultures of Northern Arizona”. Show times for the film are 10:00, 11:00 a.m., 12 noon, 1:00, 2:00, and 3:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, January 19 and 20 . There will also be a 1:00 p.m. showing on Monday, January 21 . “Ancient Indian Cultures of Northern Arizona” takes viewers through the Southwest to five of Arizona’s national park sites, each with their own unique American Indian legacy to reveal. From the mysterious Montezuma Castle to beautiful Walnut Canyon, learn about the fascinating ancient people who first settled Arizona, their culture, lifestyle, and these spectacular sites they left for us to marvel at today. This week's display will feature artwork from the students at Bluff View Intermediate School, Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, led by art instructor Lisa Lewke.
