How to make an .ift file (I use the OBY600 as example) First you open the Zero88 User fixture type editor. Then you select “creating a new (empty) fixture type file” and press OK
now right click on “manufacturers” and “Add Manufacturer”
fill in the manufacturer name and pres OK
right click the manufacturer name and choose “Add Fixture Type”
fill in the name of the Fixture
Now you have to fill in the parameters from the DMX-table Right click in the field and choose “Add Parameter”
We‟ll start with the first Channel Brightness (see DMX-table) - fill in the name (this name will be on the display of your desk) - attribute = brightness - channel = 1 - you can pick whatever (0-255) default value as you find best (the default value is the value that the attribute has when you press „HOME‟) - press OK
Now we‟ll take the next one - name = Shutter - Attribute = Beamshape - Channel = 2
this you‟ll for all the parameters colours = attribute colour Finally, you got something like this :
Now you got to assign the parameters to wheels on your desk Right click “Colour” and choose “Add Wheel Group”
now you can choose with witch wheel you control something you have to choose this as you find the easiest to work with (there are some attributes left but you do them in a sec )
next you right click colour again and add a wheel group with the parameters that are left.
If you are finished you‟ll see something like this
Now press OK and save the .ift
Hope this will help you.
