Notes on how to use the built-in webcam Recording:
1. Start the webcam from the „Webcam Software‟ folder by double-clicking the „Dell Webcam Center‟. 2. The webcam will initialize and then you can record a video by clicking the „Record‟ button at the bottom of the screen. There is a 3 second delay before it starts. 3. You can change the „Video‟ resolution and the „Self-Timer‟ delay time. DO NOT change the „Audio Source‟ or you won‟t get any sound. 4. Your movie will record to T:\Temp\DELL Webcam Center\Video Recording\”today‟s date”. For example “20071018” is October 18 2007. The software is defaulted to record a .wmv (Windows Media Video) file. 5. PLEASE NOTE: 1 minute of video at 640x480 resolution will use 6Mb of disk space. Ex. 20 minute video = ~120Mb. Higher resolutions produce larger files. 6. Please remove your video files before returning your laptop/projector.
Playback:
Do not use the webcam software to view your video because it won‟t display correctly. Please use Windows Media Player to play your video for optimal quality.
