Pricing Kit
This procedure reviews the proper steps to recovering a damaged estimate. Use this if you cannot get into your estimate from the Open \ Retrieve screen of Pricing Kit.
Rebuild Estimate
The Rebuild function is located in your Pricing Kit | Open screen. You must first highlight the Estimate name, then pick Rebuild to start the procedure.
Open \ Retrieve Estimate
Start CADKIT Pricing Kit Close any Welcome screen Pick Open or Retrieve from the main red and white start up screen. Pick on the Estimate name from the list to highlight Pick on the Rebuild button in the lower left Pick Yes to the prompt ensuring you wish to Rebuild Type in a Backup Name for your estimate. This should be a different name from the estimate you are trying to Rebuild. Pick OK at the instructions screen after you have read it completely
Rebuilding the Estimate
Windows 95 Users: Leave Pricing Kit on in the background Pick Start | Programs | MSDOS prompt. A black screen should appear with a blinking cursor at a C:\WINDOWS\> prompt. Type CD\ Enter Type REBUILD Enter

This should start a Database Recovery program and will ask you to press any key about five or six times. When it has completed, it will put you back into the black screen and wait for you to type EXIT Type EXIT at the black screen Pick Open / Retrieve from your Pricing Kit screen Pick on the ORIGINAL ESTIMATE NAME Pick OK to open this rebuilt estimate
Windows 3.1 Users: Leave Pricing Kit on in the background Press ALT+TAB to move to your Program Manager. A black screen should appear with a blinking cursor at a C:\WINDOWS\> prompt.
