United Way’s BoardMatch can help you recruit qualified Board Volunteers:
How to use BoardMatch: You must be a registered agency to use BoardMatch. If you are not a registered agency click on “Register Here!” and follow instructions to register. If you are already registered as an agency with the Volunteer Maine Partnership visit your agency homepage and log in. If you do not know your agency homepage you can log in through http://volunteer.united-eway.org/uwem/agency/ or www.volunteermaine.org.
POST INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR AGENCY AND BOARD: You must provide information about your organization and board before you are able to post board positions. 1. Access BoardMatch by logging into your account. 2. Click on BoardMatch Tab 3. Under Agency Board Information, click on “Edit Board Information” 4. Populate the form with the requested information. 5. Click on the “Save and Continue” button.

POST OPEN BOARD POSITIONS: Agencies have the ability to post board positions online, promoting them to community members. 1. Access BoardMatch by logging into your account. 2. Click on BoardMatch Tab 3. Under Board Positions, click on “Add A Board Position” 4. Populate the form with the requested information. 5. Click on the “Save and Continue” button.

RESULTS: The confirmation page will appear indicating that the registration process is complete and once the information is approved by an administrator, it will appear in the online directory. To View the listing as potential donors would see it: Click on the view your item as the public would see it link. USERS BROWSE OPEN POSITIONS: Registered volunteers on the VolunteerMaine Partnership browse open board positions. If they are interested in a position they must complete a “Board Profile” that asks specific questions about their skills and interests. You will be notified that someone is interested in the position via email and you can review their information and follow up with the volunteer.
