					         ALAMO CITY DANCE/DRILL TEAM
                COMPETITION™
Contest fees due 2 weeks prior to date. Schools will not be placed on the schedule until payment is
received. Fees will not be accepted at the door.

1. Ensemble/Solo competition will be held Friday, February 28th at O’Connor High
School in San Antonio, Texas (some officer performances could be held on Friday
depending on the contest size). Doors will open at 4:30 pm. (not before) with
contest start time at 5:00 pm. Officer and Ensemble competition will be held in
the main gym with Solo competition in the alternate gym. The flooring in each gym is a
regulation size wood floor. In the main gym area there is enough seating for spectators.
We would like to reserve the performance side for all paying spectators. Teams must
sit on the opposite side for viewing only. All participants must be lined up 20 minutes
ahead of schedule. For details concerning props and flooring, we recommend that you
         call Amanda Gold O’Connor H.S. (210) 695-4800 ext. 2171.
2. Please have all routines choreographed within the boundary lines. There WILL
         NOT be overflow.
3. Team competition will be held Saturday, March 1st. Doors will open by 7:00
am. (not before) with contest start time at 8:00 am. Teams may have floor spacing
before contest and during all break intervals. Please keep in mind that many schools
would like to use the floor. We ask that you limit your time to floor
spacing and formation changes. Move on and off as quickly as possible.
4. Each school will be assigned a classroom as their dressing area. Please leave
rooms neat and clean. No food or drinks will be allowed in this area.
ABSOLUTELY NO MEN ALLOWED IN DRESSING FACILITIES! DO
NOT LEAVE VALUABLES UNSUPERVISED, AS THIS AREA IS NOT
         SECURED!
5. Be aware that the team’s on deck area can become “jammed.” Please
inform parents and supporters to stay out of this area during the contest.
6. Prop Reminder: Again, please review the prop information specified in
GENERAL CONTEST INFORMATION. Props are to be brought in at the time of
the category. Props not protected (even if only a stage set) will not be allowed onto
the floor. BE PREPARED! We would hate to refuse a team’s performance due to
lack of reading the rules. All props will be checked.
7. The O’Connor Boosters will provide great concessions at this contest. For more
          details, call Amanda Gold at O’Connor H.S. (210) 695-4800 ext. 2171.

            TEAM COMPETITION™
Contest fees due 2 weeks prior to date. Schools will not be placed on the schedule until payment is
received. Fees will not be accepted at the door.

1. Officer/Ensemble/Solo competition will be held Friday, February 21st at
Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, TX. Registration will be held at
Strahan Coliseum with doors opening at 3:00 pm. (not before). The contest will
begin at 4:00 pm. Officer/Ensemble competition will be held in the Coliseum with solo
         competition in the P.E gyms.
2. The lower level bleachers will be pulled out on all sides of the coliseum. All
routines must be choreographed within the boundary lines as there will not be overflow.
3. Team competition will be held on Saturday, February 22nd. Doors will open at
7:00 am. (not before) with contest start time at 8:00 am. Teams may have floor
spacing before contest and during all break intervals. Please keep in mind that many
schools would like to use the floor. We ask that you limit your time to floor spacing and
formation changes only. Move on and off as quickly as possible.
4. The dressing facilities are located in Jowers Center (near the P.E. gym area).
Please do not leave or store costumes in these facilities as it is an unsecured area. Use
this area for changing only! There are many restroom facilities located around the
Coliseum and Jowers Center to accommodate everyone. Do not linger and apply
makeup. Do not leave valuables unsupervised! We ask that you leave costumes and
         travel bags on the bus.
5. PROPS: All large props will be received at the loading dock prior to the
scheduled performance. These props will be loaded into a freight elevator and lowered
to the floor level. (Freight elevator approx. 8X10 and 7-8 feet high.) Call the
ShowMakers office should you have questions regarding prop size, etc. Please review
the prop information specified in General Contest Information. Props are to be
brought in at the time of the category. Props not protected (even if only a stage set) will
not be allowed onto the floor. The University will make no exceptions to this
rule. We would not enjoy refusing a team’s performance due to lack of reading
the rules. All props will be checked!
6. On Saturday, the P.E. gyms will be available for practicing along with the outside
area around the coliseum. The upper level gym will be available both days.
7. Concessions will be open on both days. Additionally, there are many food
         establishments near the contest site.
