How to Capture and Export Video Using Windows Movie Maker
1. Please use iMac Intel Stations 8-10. Boot up in Windows. Turn on the DataVideo Converter Box. Push the Source Button until you see a red light (DV).

Open Movie Maker. Start > All Programs >
Accessories > Windows Movie Maker.

Go to File > New Project. Go to File > Save Project. Type in username_project. Save to My Videos.

Go to Capture Video > Capture from Video Device. Select AVC Compliant DV Device.
Click Next.

Type in a name for your video file [username_clip1]. Save to My Videos. Click Next.

Select Best Quality for Playback on My Computer. Click Next.

Select Capture Parts of the Tape Manually. Click Next.

Cue up DVD disc or VCR tape. Push Play on the deck. In Movie Maker: Click Start Capture. Click Stop Capture. Click Finish. Note: No Audio during capture.

Drag and drop the video clip into the Storyboard. Click on the Show Storyboard – Show Timeline toggle to see Storyboard view.

Toggle on Show Timeline. Drag edit points on the left and right side of the clip to trim excess media.

Go to File > Save Movie File. Select My Computer. Click Next.

Type in a name for your movie. [username_clip1_done] Save to My Videos. Click Next.

Click Show More Choices. Select Other Settings. For PowerPoint or web distribution, choose High Quality (small). Click Next.

Check on Play Movie when I click Finish. Click Finish. Preview movie. Quit Windows Media Player. Go to File > Save Project. Quit Windows Movie Maker.
15.
Your movie is located in My Videos folder in My Documents.
