Fifty seven members and guests attended the meeting at the Fruitdale Grange. President Bob Hile welcomed everyone. Guests introduced
were Al Erickson, Mark Willis, Bob Stewart, Nick & Erin Camacho. Special thanks to these folks who assisted in the judging of the Jacket
winners at the car show. New members introduced were Mike Driscall and Willy Nemeth. Welcome to all!
Bob Hile blessed the meal. After the meal Bob called the meeting to order at 4:50PM.
Treasure’s Report: Ron Willing presented his report. He shared the car show income and reported the show did very well and expects
we’ll have a good donation for our charities this year. Ron presented a Certificate of Appreciation to Larry & Pam Young for outstanding
sales of show hats and t-shirts taking in over $10,000 in profits. Congratulations Larry & Pam on a job well done!
Old Business:
Ice Cream Social: Bob read a thank you from Karen Strand, Cruise Oregon Director, thanking us for our donation and for the great ice
cream social. Special thanks to Ralph & Gloria Weinberger, George & Barbara Masters for organizing the event, Joe Milder for getting the
donation of blizzards from Diary Queen and Dan DeYoung for organizing “Da Law.” Several unofficial fines were issued raising a nice
donation for Cruise Oregon charities. Special thanks to Joe Creek RV Resort who donated the use of their park for this event.
Scholarship Program: Ron Willing read two thank you letters from the recipients of our scholarships. One of the recipients is now em-
ployed at Roe Motors.
Car Show 2010: Bob thanked all the members who worked on the show for an outstanding job. A special thanks to members of Rogue
Valley Street Rods for their help with parking. Parking Chairman Ron Smith and his committee did a great job this year. City Parks com-
mended us for leaving the park so clean and complying with all the rules and regulations that were put upon us to park the cars throughout
the park. We received very positive comments from the Tree Advisory Committee and have been invited to attend their meeting this Mon-
day night. Our goal is to get approval from City Parks to park cars throughout the park in the future.
New Business:
The Club storage shed will be moved this week.
Christmas Party: Dawn will chair the committee again this year. Location will be Grants Pass Golf Club.
Bob shared an article that RSVP is requesting donations of school supplies. We still have money left in our 20% share of 2009 show profits
and could give more than the usual $500 this year. A motion was made by Joe Milder, seconded by Richard Derry, and approved to
donate $783.06 to RSVP. The remaining $500 from the 2009 charity funds will be donated to the Food Bank as planned.
Fall Color Run: Bob Simmons volunteer to chair the event. Thanks Bob!
The Suites Retirement Home on Parkdale Drive is requesting classic cars for display on August 12th at 3pm. Show up with your classic if
you’re interested in participating. It’s a fun event.
2011 Car Show Committee Chairmen: Bob reminded all members that all positions must be filled before we will vote on a 2011 car
show. Show Chairman, Registration and Awards positions require the person to have good computer skills, understand and use Word &
Excel programs. The following positions were filled: Chairman, Kathy Simmons; Registration, Kathy Simmons, Diane Graham and Dottie
Bishop who volunteered and will shadow Kathy to get an understanding what is expected of the position. Goodie Bags, Bill & Carolyn
Hartzell and Fred Yarrish; Pre-Show, Ron Reeg; Information Booth, Barbara Masters; Parking, Ron Smith; T-shirts & Hats, Bill Foutts;
Vendors, Ken Beatty; Raffle & 50/50, Kathryn Boranian; Farewell, Ben Garland. Major Sponsors and Awards are left to fill. If you’re in-
terested in these positions or want more information about the duties, contact Kathy Simmons at 592-6009. All positions must be filled by
the end of the September meeting. When all are filled we will vote for a 2011 show. If all positions are not filled there will not be a 2011
show. Consider volunteering. The show is a lot of fun and brings in a large donation for local charities.
New Car Show Name: As of 11:59 p.m. July 31, 2010 RVCC can no longer use “Back to the 50’s” in our charity car show name. “Back
to the 50’s” is a registered trademark of Minnesota Street Rod Association. Members are asked to submit their show name suggestions to
Kathy Simmons via email by September 1st. The suggestions will be gathered and tallied by the executive board and presented at the Sep-
tember meeting for a vote of the membership.
50/50: Winner is Sharen Fitzhugh. Congrats Sharen!!
Next Club Meeting: Sunday, September 12th @ Fruitdale Grange. Bring side dish, beverage, and service.
Meeting adjourned at 6:00PM
Kathy Simmons, Secretary

Thank You - Cruise Oregon Helpers
Thanks to all who helped make the Ice Cream Social for Cruise Oregon a super
fun success; parking, serving and entertainment. The Cruisers had a great time,
even though it took a toll on Roger Sipes. Poor Joanne couldn’t save him.
  Thanks again,

  Ralph, Gloria, Barbara & George.
