PRESIDENTS MESSAGE

The Annual Coffs Harbour show is one of 195 similar Country shows held annually in
New South Wales.
Each show is unique in a number of areas but all retain some of their roots in
the Agricultural, Pastoral, Horticultural or Industrial developments that formed the
basis of Australian life and provided the roots for Societies fabric.
Coffs Harbour’s annual show allows our community to highlight some of the
great achievements we have made in the past 12 months. It maybe as simple as
flowers growing in the garden or the more complex task of preparing an animal to a
point where it is supreme champion exhibit of the show. Our show offers everyone the
opportunity to participate by exhibition, trade displays, competition or by attendance.
Our show would not be running in 2010 if it was not for the ongoing efforts of
a relatively small band of committee members who give freely of their time, efforts & in
many cases their personal financial contributions so that an army of volunteer workers
can descend on the showground in May to provide competitions worthy of our area
spurring some to achieve State & National excellence in their field.
To my committee, members of the Showman’s Guild, competitors, traders
and the attending public I offer my thanks and wish you a memorable time.
                                                                      Christopher Pearson
