New MasterCard Aimed at Tenants of Rental Apartments and Condominiums
ACOM CO., LTD. (president: Shigeyoshi Kinoshita) will introduce a credit card called "Cyber Estate Card" for new tenants of rental apartments and condominiums in the middle of December, jointly with E*NetCard CO., LTD. (president: Osamu Kawada) and Visual Research Co. (president: Shouji Watanabe) which engages in development, sales and support of computer software for real estate management companies. "Cyber Estate Card" members will be able to automatically transfer rent payments from their bank accounts, utilize shopping features provided by MasterCard and obtain loans provided by ACOM. Following is the outline of a business scheme for the joint card. 1. The business responsibilities of each company and the expected merits. (1) Acom CO., LTD. · Production of joint cards, credit screening and examination, card issuance, credit management, collection of rent as an agent, promotion of the card and payment of service fees generated from uses of the card, etc. · By diversification and expansion of sales channels, ACOM will secure the issuance of more than 70,000 cards annually as well as promoting use of the card. (2) E*NetCard CO., LTD. · Offering of service programs to joint card members. · E*NetCard will have various service fees. (3) Visual Research Co. · Sales promotion and application-taking of the card, as a mediator to ACOM, for new tenants of apartments and condominiums, the number of which amounts to about 190,000 people annually, using the network of about 350 APAMAN Shops nationwide. · Visual Research can expect a higher renewal rate by organizing tenants and to receive various service fees.
2. Outline of "Cyber Estate Card" · The basic features of the "Cyber Estate Card" are the same as those of the ACOM MasterCard (annual membership fee is free, shopping protection offered, etc.). For the purpose of automatic transfer of rent payment from bank accounts, the payment method should be directly charged to bank accounts as a general rule. (Card members can also repay loans at any time using ATM.) · ACOM holds all credit for card loans and purchases made with MasterCard.
