Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Packager with Nesco Staffing in Mentor Ohio $8.95 hr.
Produce sterilant cups in a fast-paced production line, using automated and manual equipment,
while maintaining quality and safety standards.
1. Employees will be trained and operate the following stations according to quality and safety
standards:
A. Automated Membrane: This station is responsible for sealing the membrane to the lid. This
includes: filling machine with lids; placing sealed lids in boxes; and visually inspecting lids.
Maintain logs to track lot numbers, rejected parts, and machine settings (air pressure,
temperature, etc.). Complete Production Tracking Tags and pack boxes to be sent to next station.
B. Manual Powder Station: This station is responsible for releasing powder and inserting acid
capsule into sterilant cup. This includes: filling hopper with powder from blend room; filling
sterilant cup with powder; inserting acid capsule in cup; and stacking carts to be sent to next
station. Weigh random cups to ensure proper weights, make adjustments to computer if weights
are inaccurate. Ensure lot number is correct and Production Tracking Tag is completed, send to
next station.
C. Manual Sealing Line: This station is responsible for the sealing and boxing of the sterilant
cup. This includes: completing daily checklist (assuring machine settings are correct); running
test cups at beginning of shift; inspecting cup; and placing cup in lid sealer. Cup is placed in box,
sealed with glue gun and sent down conveyor to next station.
D. Manual Packing: This station is responsible for the final packaging of the product. This
includes: packing individual sterilant boxes into shipping box and sealing; labeling box; and
visually inspecting finished product. Ensure lot numbers/lot changes are correct and complete
Production Tracking Tag.
E. Automated Powder Fill/Seal: This station is responsible for the mechanical process of filling
and sealing the sterilant cup. This includes: stocking materials; completing appropriate
paperwork (control charts, production tracking sheet, downtime tracking sheet, etc.); visually
inspect product; drop cups into machine to seal lid and box; and final packing product.
2. Ensure safe operation at all times by wearing proper PPE, reporting or correcting unsafe
conditions, and recommending changes or improvements.
3. Conduct minor maintenance on equipment or complete work request for the maintenance
department to complete.
4. Reject non-conforming material.
5. Must be able to run electric/manual pallet lift, restock materials as needed thru out the day and

needle biopsies. The balance of your work will be in general imaging. General call is infrequent,
and there is an optional rotation to take call from Hawaii for two weeks!
