AUSTIN, Texas--(EON: Enhanced Online News)--Bazaarvoice, the market and technology leader in transforming
customer conversations into long-term business value, today announced that Michael S. Bennett has joined the
Bazaarvoice Board of Directors. Bennett is a 30-year veteran in the technology industry with tremendous expertise
in accelerating growth in early stage and public technology businesses and building organizations that distinguish
themselves in tough, competitive environments. A seven-time CEO, Bennett most recently served as president, chief
executive officer, and chairman of SolarWinds, where he led the company to its IPO in May 2009 as the first Austin
company to go public in five years.

“Mike Bennett deeply understands how to build sustainable growth and lead an organization for the long term,” said
Brett Hurt, founder and CEO of Bazaarvoice. “He has created some of Austin’s most successful companies while
focusing on the lasting economic impact that these companies can have in our local community. What I most admire
about Mike is his commitment to build companies that excel in terms of culture, purpose, and community impact – all
while achieving phenomenal operational results. He’s one of the best CEOs I’ve ever worked with, and we will all
benefit from his influence and guidance.”

“Brett has helped transform the way that consumers shop for products and services, and he is helping his customers
re-write the playbook on how to structure business around the customer,” said Bennett. “He has a remarkable vision
for the future of both Bazaarvoice and the market, and he has created one of the most exciting, high-growth
companies to emerge from Austin in the last ten years. I very much look forward to working with Brett, his executive
team, and the Board at this critical juncture in the company’s history.”

Prior to joining SolarWinds in September 2006, Bennett served as president and CEO of Permeo Technologies
Inc., a leading provider of on-demand information security solutions, from March 2004 until its acquisition by Blue
Coat Systems in April 2006. He previously served as CEO of Mission Critical Software where he led the company
through IPO in 1999 and subsequent merger with NetIQ Corporation. As a partner at Austin Ventures, Bennett also
co-founded AlterPoint in 2001, a leading provider of intelligent network change and configuration management
solutions.

Prior to Mission Critical Software, Bennett served as president and CEO of Learmonth & Burchett Management
Systems (LBMS) where he returned the company to profitability and orchestrated its merger with Platinum
Technologies. He also served as president and CEO of Summagraphics, PTXI and Interlan and held executive
positions with industry leading computer companies including Dell Computer Corporation and Digital Equipment
Corporation. He is a two-time recipient of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2000 and 2010.

Bennett joins Brett Hurt on the Bazaarvoice Board of Directors alongside Neeraj Agrawal, General Partner at
Battery Ventures; Dev Ittycheria, former BMC Software Enterprise Service Management president and co-founder
of BladeLogic; Ed Keller, noted marketing researcher and author; Tom Meredith, co-founder of Meritage Capital
LP and former Motorola and Dell CFO; and Chris Pacitti, General Partner of Austin Ventures.
