					                     ENTERING A REQUISITION




From Main Menu, Choose H – Requisition Entry
Click on blank sheet of paper icon or press A to Add.
Must enter Dept/Loc or click on down arrow to list dept/loc codes.
Tab down to Req# Field. You can click on the button labeled Get Next Requisition
or you can press CTRL key and G to get next requisition #.
Enter Vendor number or click on down arrow to get a list of vendors. To search for
a vendor number, click on Find button. Type in first part of name and click go or
hit escape button. Make sure to have column 2 and start of column marked in the
search box. Once you’ve found the desired vendor click on select.

Back at the requisition, enter a General Description.

Leave Billed to Field blank. This will automatically default when the purchase
order is printed.

Delivery Reference – you can enter the person’s name that it needs to be delivered
to.

Click on OK.
After clicking OK, you will get this screen. Fill in Quantity, Unit Price, UOM (unit
of measure such as EA for each)

Then tab over to where the item description needs to be entered. Look at the above
example.

Press enter until you can fill in the org, object and amount. You can use multiple
accounts here. See print screen on next page.
After entering the Org, Object and Amount, click on OK until “records added” is
displayed at the bottom of the screen.

*Note: If you get a message that there’s not enough money, you must send a budget
transfer form moving money into that GL account. You cannot go any further until
budget adjustment has been enter. Susan Wynn handles budget transfers.

Click on OK until “records added” is displayed.

To add the next line item, click on the blank paper icon or press A to add.

Fill in the quantity, unit price, and description. Then enter the org, object and
amount.

Click on OK until “records added” is displayed. You can click on exit when you are
finished.
                HOW TO RELEASE THE REQUISITION




You must release the requisitions that you enter before they can be approved and
then converted to a Purchase Order. After finding the requisition, click on Release.
Make sure that the Status has been changed to a Released (6).
