CALL FOR PAPERS
The electronic journal of IS Evaluation (http://www.ejise.com) is intended to provide critical
perspectives on topics relevant to Information Systems Evaluation, with an emphasis on the
organizational and management implications. Through its publication the journal aims to contribute
to the development of theory and practice.
The editorial board invites submissions of quantitative, qualitative and experience-based papers
from industry and academe on both the theory and practice of all aspects of IT/IS evaluation. Topics
may include, but are not limited to:
the evaluation of e-commerce and e-business
evaluating intranets and knowledge management
general evaluation methodologies for both the appraisal and post implementation of projects.
decision making processes for new investments
the management of IT benefits, costs and risks
research methods for IT/IS evaluation
human and organisational aspects of IT/IS
the evaluation of IT project management
the management of IS development and IT departments
the impact of IS on work and organisations.
1. Those wishing to make a submission should send one copy, preferably in Microsoft Word, by e-
mail to email@example.com . Submissions should not be longer than 5,000 words and are
welcome at any time. All papers submitted to the journal will be double-blind refereed by
members of the editorial board or other suitable readers.
2. Papers should begin with the title of paper, all the authors’ names and affiliations, and the full
address and e-mail address for at least one contact author. A relevant website address may also
be optionally supplied. When the paper is online there will be a link to the authors email
addresses so that readers can reach you for further information. Please do not submit a paper
without these contact details. The journal administrators will remove personal details for the
purposes of the blind review process.
3. Include a 300 words abstract outlining the purpose, scope and conclusions of the paper, and
selected keywords. It is important that the abstract should be clear and understandable for those
for whom English is not the native language. The abstract should explain why the paper is an
important contribution to a particular aspect of IS Evaluation.
4. Keywords. Within the journal Web Site there will be a search facility to look for papers that have
been published and the keywords will be used in conjunction with this. Therefore please include
at least four words or short phrases that highlight the topics covered by the paper.
