              be if everyone
              protected their
              profiles?

Direct Message aka DM

            You can only "DM"
               someone who if you
               are following them
               and they are following
               you.
            DM's are used when
               you want to have a
               private conversation
               with someone.
 To send a DM simply
               place the letter D at
               the beginning of the
               tweet then the
               person's Twitter
   Replies aka “@” messages

Replies are used to send a Special Note:
message to someone that @ messages will only be
you wish to address directly, seen by your followers
but not privately. who are also

is taking place between The exception to this is if
people who are sending "@" you place a "." in front of

 A word or words preceded by
    the "#" sign
 Help aggregate and filter
    conversations.
 Common hash tags: #edchat
    #teachertuesday
    #followfriday #google
 Twitter is a micro blog---many
    people use hash tags when
    they are tweeting notes from
    various conferences
 Consistency is essential with
    hash tags.
 To search for hash tags type
the hash tag into the search
box on your Twitter page. Try
    #wnccsm and see what you
