      AGREEMENT TO, AND TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ENROLLMENT IN VERITY SCHOOL

DO HEREBY UNDERTAKE AND AGREE:
1.    Finance Arrangements and Payment of School fees

1.1       To pay school and/or boarding fees as fixed by the school, from time to time, annually in advance on the first day of school of each
          year or, by arrangement, according to the ‘termly in advance’ or ‘monthly in advance’ options as may exist from time to time.
1.2       To pay interest on all overdue school fees at the rate equal to the Prime Interest Rate, plus 2% charged by First National Bank to its
          customers from time to time.
1.3       To pay any and all costs, including legal costs as between attorney and client, incurred by Verity Preparatory School and College
          (“the School”) in recovering any overdue School fees and interest from myself or my estate.
1.4       To remove my/our son/daughter forthwith from tuition at the School, upon the written request from the Business Manager/Bursar
          in the event of any School fees being overdue, which removal will not absolve me from payment of any fees owing.
1.5       That the School’s Bursar and/or Business Manager shall be entitled, without reference to me/us, to set-off any and all amounts owing
          by me/us against any deposit, loan or levy held by the School.
1.6       To give a full term’s notice in writing, or, in lieu thereof, to pay a full term’s fees, before removing my son/daughter from the School
          or if my son/daughter is a boarder before changing his/her status to a day scholar.
1.7       That the Bursar and/or Business Manager shall have the right to conduct, from time to time, such credit checks as are reasonably
          necessary to satisfy the School of my/our ability to pay School fees from time to time.
1.8       That the Business Manager shall have the right, in his/her sole discretion, to submit a debit order to my bank to deduct from my
          account and to pay to the School, any amount due to the School by me/us:

2. Disclaimer of Liability and Indemnity
2.1     That the School, its Headmistress/master, teachers, employees, staff, agents, contractors and members of the management board
        (hereinafter jointly and severally referred to as “the Parties”) shall not be liable for any loss, injury or damage howsoever arising
        which may be suffered by me/us, or my/our son/daughter or our/their property or possessions whether arising directly or indirectly in
        contract and/or delict which is in any way connected to us/our son/daughter being on the School premises or making use of its
        facilities or taking part in or attending any School classes or activity of whatsoever nature including, but not limited to, when under
        School control during any School excursion, sporting event, tour, activity or outing or en route thereto or therefrom, including where
        transport has been organised by the School or provided by any other parent of a child enrolled at the school.
2.2     To accept liability for any loss or damage suffered by the School and/or the Parties as a result of any negligent act, misconduct or
        omission of our son/daughter.
2.3     That I/We hereby indemnify the School and/or the Parties and will pay on demand all claims, damages, awards, interest charges,
        expenses, tracing costs, collection fees and judgement, costs (including attorney and own client costs), howsoever arising which are
        in any way connected with the enforcing its/their rights, as set out in this agreement.

3. General
  3.1. To the School’s holistic approach to education, based on pupils participating in School life on a physical, emotional, intellectual and
       cultural level, I understand that my/our son/daughter is required to fully participate on all levels in order to derive the full benefits of the
       School’s education programme and that, notwithstanding anything stated herein, no academic results can or will be guaranteed.
  3.2. That I understand the school follows a neutral programme as regards matters of religion and that information regarding the customs,
       beliefs and practices of all major faiths may and will be discussed as part of life orientation lessons and I affirm that I will not prohibit
       the participation of my son/daughter in any such lessons on the grounds that customs, practices and beliefs of faiths other than my own
       are being discussed.
  3.3. To encourage my/our son/daughter to participate in School life in all its facets and understand that this entails my/our son/daughter
       participating in all scheduled lessons, discussions, projects and compulsory School activities such as: Sports and extra-mural practices
       and fixtures, cultural events and performances, amongst others, which are regarded as compulsory, whether they take place during the
       week or weekends.
  3.4. That, on the School premises and during School excursions, sporting events, tours, activities or outings and, in respect of boarders, at
       all times during the term, the Headmaster/Headmistress or his/her authorised representative, acts in loco parentis and shall have the
       right, amongst others, where, in his/her or his/her representative’s sole discretion it is reasonably necessary to consent on my/our behalf
       to my son/s/daughter/s being admitted for medical treatment or to undergo an operation including the administration of an anaesthetic.
       The Headmistress/master or his/her representative shall, where it is, in his/her sole opinion possible to do so, consult with me/us before
       taking such decision.
  3.5. To accept the Headmistress’s/master’s right or that of his/her authorised representative to discipline my/our son/daughter for any breach
       of the School rules and code of conduct according to same as they may exist from time to time, including the right to suspend and,
       where, in the opinion of the Headmistress/master, sufficient grounds exist, to expel a pupil from the School.
  3.6. To sign and abide by the School’s Code of Conduct and rules and to ensure my son/daughter understands the contents thereof.
